Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2: 9/10

Ahh the end of an era. Very much an awesome movie, and a phenomenal way to end the series. I would gladly go see it again. Those who haven't read the book may still be a bit confused on the plot, but it's easier to understand than part 1. Simply because this movie mainly covered the climax and end of the book, and picked up right where part 1 left off.

Reptilian(1997) 2.5/10

Good god, this movie is bad.Not only does it have a weak story line and terrible acting,if your not a fan of CG this movie will seem unbearable. The CG is terrible and to make matters worse this is the better version, the old one never saw the light of day on either VHS or DVD.It's a Korean movie and yet it features American actors, which didn't go down well with Korean audiences and to make matters worse one of the soldiers, who is on a jetpack for some reason bashes Godzilla. Now I can't say what he said because it's rude but I'll just say this Godzilla is a trillion times better than that abomination of CG will EVER be.Even American Godzilla looks amazing next to this

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2: 9/10

This part was even more exciting than the first part and well worth the wait. The actors put on incredibly convincing performances to help further the enjoyment of this last film. A few important parts from the book were left out, but it was otherwise faithful to the source material.

Note: THe following is of the english dub of an anime movie.

Akira(1988)- 8.5/10

This film.... is a genuine CLASSIC. I may be biased toward Anime, but Akira is definitely better than most of the crud Hollywood puts forth today (I'm looking at you, JP3 and Indiana Jones and the Crystal Kingdom.) Despite it's age, it's animation is surprisingly great, and it's overall a very fun ride, filled with plenty of Nightmare Fuel for those of you looking for some Mind Screw stuff... However, it does suffer abit from a little too much language (No F bombs, if I remember correctly, but some other stuff.) I could only watch it in the English Dub, but even that is surprisingly good. I'm certain it's not as good as the japanese subbed, but oh well. I definitely recommend watching it. Oh, and one last thing. It goes against all 3 of TT's Anime Stereotypes (I think).

For those of you who want to watch it, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu9rbB4I9k4

A Perfect Murder: 9/10

Very good movie based on the play Dial M for Murder. Very little is what it seems to be in this movie. The plot twists are phenomenal. The acting is very well done. And the story? Brilliant. I loved it from beginning to end.

Raiders of the Lost Ark: 9/10

A few of the non action scene parts seem to drag on a bit, but the movie is fantastic beyond that.

Captain America: 9/10
Kinda disappointed, I went into the movie theater expecting a corner summer blockbuster and got a well planned out, genuinely good movie. D: This flick was great, delivers on everything it promised and more. Its a good story, good action, good characters, and the humor of it really relieves tension in the plot and characters. I would however say, that it wasn't nearly long enough. Just when I was getting comfortable with the characters the climax had already started. I am loving the build up for the avengers movie though, and speaking of, anyone that watches this stick around until the end of the credits you get a nice little suprise like you do in all the other marvel movies.

Stephen King's It: 8/10

This movie can keep you on your toes as it's hard to tell if the creature is lurking nearby or if it's actually disguised itself as one of the main characters. However, a few of the flashbacks could have been scarier and they are the ones that are too short. Beyond that, this movie is definetly worth a watch for any fan of Stephen King's work.

Godzilla 2000: 9/10.

Man, what a great flick. It's got destruction, monsters, and an epic rumble for the last 30 minutes of the movie. My only qualm is that Godzilla is not in the movie for long periods of time and some of the special effects look pretty bad, but it's an overall good movie.

Rise of the Planets of the Apes: 10/10

I think I'm the first to be able to give a movie I've seen this rating but I'm not joking the Movie Blew me out of the Water. The movie gave me chills in the good sense and in fact made many famous excerpts from the orgional such as naming one of the Apes "Bright Eyes" (I won't say who except they are rather important) they also make mention to everything big with the old movie. If you watch carefully they piece together everything to link it with the old movie, and they are pretty damn good at it. I loved it plain and simple and for you doubters out there you were dead wrong, it is great and (don't mark me a heritic) I think it may rival the first movie for acting, emotion, and pure simple pleasure. GO SEE THE MOVIE NOW OR MISS OUT!

Shaun of the Dead 8/10

As both a zombie film fan and a Brit I can safely say I love this movie, there's a bit of horror mixed in with the mostly comedic script what with the zombies and all,but mostly comedy. The range of plans Shaun thinks of to ride out the zombie apocalypse is just so British I don't think the movie as a whole would have worked as well if it was made in say America.Of course there are some sad moments(which are all spoilers so I won't say anything ;P)but with an overall happy ending and good replay value I' say give this one a watch

Kung Fu Panda: 8.5/10

This movie contains the right amount of comedy and action so that you can get a few laughs, but are still able to take it seriously. Great voice acting (especially by Jack Black and Ian Mcshane) and a well thought up way of putting together a tale to show one's rise from humble beginings to a great warrior.

Saw VI: 8/10

I've been on a Saw kick lately. XP Watched up to the third film earlier this week, then four and five, and finally got the chance to re-watch this one. Personally, I think this is one of the better films in the series, topped only by the one and only original. XP Yeah, I admit, if you aren't paying close attention through the first five movies - or lose interest and wander off to do something else for a bit, and miss a chunk of the plot - the story of this one doesn't make a whole lot of sense; but if you DO pay attention, you notice that the little details are starting to fall into place. There are still a few questions unanswered, but that's what the seventh movie is for. XP

The inbetweeners movie 10/10

I absolutely loved this one, following the adventures of the inbetweeners four on holiday in Crete this film gives big laughs regardless of whether you've watched the show(though some subtle jokes are funnier if you have). And after all they've been through throughout the course of the series and movie it finally ends well for them in what I think is an ending to satisfy

88 Minutes: 8/10

"Oh god not another movie review from this lunatic". XP

Yes, another one, cuz I haven't done one in a while. I personally LOVE this movie. Has some excellent plot twists, suspense is well done, and the characters flesh themselves out very nicely. My only complaint is that sometimes the acting gets a little shaky, but if you overlook that for the story and the way it all comes together at the end, it's a movie worth watching again and again.

Jaws 10/10

I absolutely love this movie, the acting, the angles the musical scores are all fantastic. And until the climactic battle at the end the shark is rarely glimpsed or seen at all,up until the 4th of July attack(and even during said attack the shark is only seen for a few seconds)the shark was identified with it's trademark theme and numerous POV shots of underwater shortly before an attack. For the 1970's the shark effects are quite realistic and mixed in with actual shark footage makes for a good finale to a great movie

Being a major critic and a nitpicker I actually dislike giving anything more credit than it deserves. But for these next two, I believe they both deserve a full 10/10.

Rise of The Planet of The Apes:

Don't let the B-Movie title fool you. This is a cinematic gem that dwarfs most movies we've seen this year. The way the story plays out is brilliant, the logic behind the flow of the movie is excellent, the sheer power and emotion of the characters is absolutely staggering. It unfolds the rise of the Apes very well, from the very start up to the climactic end. I get the feeling there may be a sequel [if Hollywood decides to cash in on the movie's success. If they want to turn it into a classic, they could stop right there and it'd be just as good], and if there is, I will probably go and watch it.

The Help:

Easily one of the best movies I've ever seen. considering I'm a person whose watching the highest rated movies in history, past and present, down to the latest releases [see RoTPoTA above], that is saying something. The movie is set in a town called Jackson, in Texas, in the days of JFK and colour discrimination. It is told from the point of view of a maid, and revolves around herself, a group of other maids, a couple of sympathisers and a group pushing the discriminatory agenda [widening the gap between 'coloureds' and 'whites']. The story pulls you in, immersing you in the feel of life in that community, and it isn't long before you begin to get attached to the good characters, and loathe the bad ones. All in all, it is a phenomenal performance, beyond my highest expectations for it, and absolutely deserves a 10/10.

Kung Fu Panda 2: 9.5/10

A rare case of a sequel being better than the original film. The animation is fantastic, the characters are fleshed out well, the voice acting is great and the question's of Po's past are answered in a way that one can feel sympathy for him.

Felix the Cat: The Movie= .5/10 stars

... I am aching all over right now... This movie is downright abysmal and makes no sense. The sound management is terrible, to the point where you can't hear what the people are saying half the time, common logic is thrown out the window, and it's just a massive blot on Felix's record. No wonder why the cat got killed off for as long as he did after this movie came out... it's horrendous. Think of it as Tom and Jerry: The Movie, but on lots and lots of drugs... And the lip synching, oh good gosh... Why did I even watch this piece of crud?
