Primeval: The new dinosaur show created by Tim Haines

Postby Legendary Elite » Sat Apr 28, 2007 11:52 am

A totally new show from Tim Haines who created Walking With Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Park. Called Primeval (Prime Evil). Its about a scientist group who are dectectives that look at monster sightings. In the past 8 years there have been unknown attacks from monsters worldwide. The team investigate and begin to discover that the world is alive with prehistoric animals. Also, it appears mankind is the last of the evolutionary order. They investigate why these dinosaurs have suddenly appeared in the real world for so long.

This is a good show, it basically is about what it would be like if dinosaurs were among us today. Very well done with animation just like the previous 2 series. If you see a preview of it, take note of it. You must watch it! The first episode came on today.

In Australia, Channel 9. Depends on where you live as it might've come on already. I know it comes on in Europe first so it finished in Europe then it comes to Australia. So i'm looking forward to the second episode where the team encounter a gigantic centipede in the sewers very similar to Arthopleura for those of you who remember Prehistoric Park. Only this centipede is carnivourus.

I remember Prehistoric Park. I loved that series. But I'm in America, so this new series will probably take a while to reach us.

Oh well still the name is awesome.

Yeah I hate spiders and all but Arthopleura was good to see. But I thought it was a herbivore like in Prehistoic Park?

Oh wait it was but still liked to bite, it was a lot faster than the one in Prehistoric Park. That one looked more like a Milipede.

I look forward to episode 3.

Oh and ERC, don't worry that was just Season 1, I am sure Season 2 will be good.

Hmm are you sure its not called walking with mosters? Beacuase I saw something the other day with giant dragon flys, giant centipedes, Giant spiders etc etc.
But it wasnt very good, a bit too dramatic.

that's likely it. LE has a habit of trying to make things dramatic. if he's watching a show that does it alot, that would explain it...

Not dramatic as in "I FIGHT FOR MY COUNTRY" but as in all they insects were sorta porteayed as "evil" with the lizard having an innocent good guy air about it.

LOL! i could just imagine the scene! a lizard sitting on a rock, cocking it's head, looking at the camera and flisking it's tongue, and then the camera switches to an EVIL centipede charging at it looking like it wants to kill the lizard! XDD

I'm up to Episode 5 where a Pteranodon is seen attacking Tiger Woods on a golf course (well someone who wants to beat Tiger Woods, too bad Pteranodon kills him just like in Jurassic Park 3 except this Pteranodon is heaps deadlier, able to swoop in without much sound, the ones in JP3 were always squacking).

Oh yeah, I've remebered you talking about that show elsewhere. I'm pretty sure it'll be on Animal Planet, like Prehistoric Park was.
