wow... Thrasher really looks nice... too bad he had to be killed off in the opening pages of ISS... otherwise, Spike might have a companion to talk to... j/k.

10/10.

that's the whole point of him. at his height he was THE strongest Spinosaur on Sorna and the island's Most Dominant Predator. that ended when Crusher practically knocked on his door and tore him to shreds. that's why Crusher's feared. he took the previous MDP down when he was at his height, instead of wait for the target to weaken.

as for Spike, chances are if he and Thrasher ever met, it'd be something along the lines of Thrasher telling Spike to get him something to eat. that or going on a patrol of the territory. or go find Crusher and kill him [regardless of the impossibility of said order. hence why Crusher ended up fighting groups of Spinos repeatedly leading up to the fight]

Yeah.... Well SPike would probably do whatever Thrasher told him to do regardless... I'm still abit shocked that Thrasher was but a pawn to Nightshade...

As I said before, Thrasher looks very nice, and rather intimidating...

Nightshade WIP

that's his general appearance. though extra details like scales [i MIGHT give him the same armour treatment i gave Thrasher, but considering it's difficult to do that and apply scars to the scales [i'm no good at picturing how the scales would be effected by the scars bend-and-break wise], i may think of something else.

in any case, seeing as i have no idea when i'm gonna actually get an idea to finish the Nightshade appearance with, and with the move around the corner, i thought i may as well put up the WIP to show you guys a rough idea of what he looks like. you'll note he's more heavily built that Crusher [bigger musculature meaning less curves. most notable example of that being the neck], and is very heavily battlescarred [note, the ones visible in the picture are just the ones large enough to be seen. he literally has THOUSANDS of smaller, or shallower scars that aren't present in the pic]

His teeth same to jut out too much, making him like a giant voracious therapod beaver. However, you can easily see how heavily he is built and how powerful he is.

Nice work, wouldn't lke to run into him xP

lol. point of the teeth is that he's got a twist in his genes that make his teeth grow somewhat longer and harder [meaning they don't break as easily at that length as a normal Rex tooth]. use of it: if he bites something, it's usually a finished, even if he just walks off afterwards. the bacteria and severe bloodloss will kill the target for him...

Nightshade looks awesome. I like how you gave him a ragged apperance with the scars while making him still look fighting fit.

Yeah... those long teeth look very nightmarish on him... that, and the number of scars on him shows that few thing's he's fought have lived to tell about it...

Note to self... Make sure to have Spike and co. use Anti-Nightshade repellent once back in Sorna... On a more serious note, very good work, KP... 10/10.

I like him. Now Gothmog has a reason to fear rexes instead of simply hating them. :P

based on Rex skeleton structure. anatomy. so yeah, he looks how a Rex SHOULD look :P

though the neck is thick because of the amount of muscle. not as curved as Crusher because there's a helluva lot of muscle there. he's more muscular than Crusher. [though Crusher will likely get a rework after this to make him more accurate to real Rexes]

Crusher sketch using Nightshade as a template. it was meant to be used for comparison in body build...but i think i need to revise the anatomy. so yeah, as with Nightshade, Crusher is a WIP...

it should be noted that the scars on Crusher's and Nightshade's flanks are NOT the same. i made a mistake while sketching Nightshade and stretched the scar too much. in reality it only reaches halfway up his flank. i've since corrected that and intend to upload the corrected pic sometime soon...perhaps tomorrow...along with [hopefully] some updated pics of me. in Kuwaiti traditional clothing, of course [you guys see enough of jeans, T-shirts and tracksuits as it is. why bore you with MORE? :P]

Not as impressive after seeing him in full 3D color, ala JPOG :P

decided to do Nightshade now. they're still WIPs mind you, and i'm not sure when i'll be done with them [my sketches, like my sculptures, can go through as much as a year or so before they're finished.

and for the hell of it, i decided to give you guys a shot at a comparison.

Nightshade 2008

and

Nightshade 2010
