Doc: Yep. Glad you're happy with it. ^_^

CS: Hmmm... I'm not sure if I should even say this, since there's no guarantee of it ever happening... but you gave me an idea for a future raptor pic, which I'd need your permission to draw...

Gira: They might be pretty evenly matched. Would be an interesting fight... And thanks.

The new one I was talking about a couple days ago. I got permission from the creature's creator to post this and there will most likely be another version later, so... hope you like.

Very interesting creature. I really like the attitude you gave it's face, Pyro.

nice....

i like the blend of mechanical and organic here. you should try a fighter jet, like an F-22 or something...i bet that'd make for a real monster of an Aerosaur...

Thanks. I know this one isn't as good as it could be. I haven't done very many of them. This is only the second full body pic. Hopefully some color and shading will improve it, and I'll pick a more recognizable plane for the next one. Any suggestions for improvements on this one?

In case anyone wants to see the real plane...

well, as a design it's fine. as a likeness of the plane, i'd say it's just slightly too long. the Orlik is a very short plane. more so than some, like the Cessna...

A very fine design, and an even finer drawing. Your doing admirably, Pyro...

KP: I actually thought of that when I drew the tail, but for some reason thought it might look odd if it was too short. Guess the neck could've been smaller too. Ah well... there's always next time...

Thanks Gira. You might want to look at the improved version, which I for one, am much happier with...

That's awesome... really cool concept in general, combining the two.
Looks even better with colors.

Looking at it zoomed in, that's some serious detail put into it, I don't see any mistakes or anything. Nice job.

Glad you think so EE. I put alot of time into this... probably somewhere in the ten to twelve hour range, but I'm wondering if the reason nobody's leaving comments on dA is just because they don't know what it is. I dunno...

Edit: Whoa, they just changed dA alot...

Geez. How long at a time? (IE, like dyou mean in 2-3 hour breaks, or how...?)
I'm not really familiar with DA much, don't have an account or anything.
Also, you said you wanted the neck shorter...
Don't do it :P
In fact, if anything, you should lengthen it a bit. Maybe that's just me though, I always like the longer necked 'dragons', like mine from the ROTDRPG, or like a Fell Beast from LOTR.

Looking through this thread, the one that really caught my eye was this:

Looks amazing. How dyou get all the proportions right?

Well, I drew the outline in a couple of hours a few days ago, did most of the coloring last night in a marathon session lasting from somewhere around 7pm to around 1:30am, with a couple of short breaks to get some sustenance (because I usually have nothing more important to do in the evening), then finalized the shading, outline, background and other details today within a couple more hours. And no, now that it's colored, I won't mess with the neck or anything else. XP

I'd almost forgotten about the Demon Raptor. Maybe I sketched some kind of layout before I started the outline... or maybe just adjusted it as I went. I'm not even sure how I did that one... :P

A random doodle of a griffin...

Also, I talked to the creator of the Aerosaurs and agreed that my six-limbed type should be a new subspecies with a different name. I thought of things like Ptero-plane and Avdragon, but if anyone has ideas for a better name, I'd like to hear it...

Looks good, the only thing that looks kinda weird is the head IMO. The eyes and beak, and face in general look too big, as compared to the rest of the body and legs. Dunno if you intended it that way or not, but it looks like it would topple over forward in real life, because of the head-front leg proportions =p...
