That is really good... I like the shadows near the bones and the eyes are really really really cool. You should try draw some random characters, save people from having to explain them all the time :P

Thanks all. It's good to know I'm improving. :P

(CS: lol)

Doc: The thought did cross my mind to possibly try drawing some characters, but I wasn't sure if I could color them correctly. Sometimes its hard to tell exactly what they look like. (For a long time, I thought Rose was orange and tan like Rawclaw. )

Edit: Here's that pic of Switchy and the mutants I mentioned. It still doesn't have a background, but I think it looks good. The shading came out pretty well. Could probably use a border...

Sweet pic, the raptors look cool, esspeically the one with the quills.
The wounds on Switchy are awesome as well. I'm assumeing thats supposed to be the fight when the ninja raptors came to attack in an attempt to redeem thorns worthyness?

Amazing pic Pyro, probably your best work.

Theres only one problem: Its not very accurate :P

If I recall correctly, Switchy was never in an aggressive kick-*** state...She was usually afraid to fight or hiding :P

Putting that aside, its still awesome. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. ^_^ Glad to see it was worth the time. The shading took forever.

Doc: Yup. That's the one. That was pretty much the only time in Switchy's life when she wasn't afraid in a fight.

Edit: A dragon/demon-like raptor I did last night with Gimp.

Thanks. I can't quite figure out why they decided to call GIMP that particular name, lol. Does it stand for something maybe?

I'm starting to draw more often now, so I'm thinking about getting a DeviantArt account soon...

You should get one, much bigger audience to motiviate you that way :P
(I don't have one, simply because I'm not an artist, I use GIMP for animating badly drawn sprites in game maker)

That looks awesome Pyro. Very creepy looking...but the bat wings look more natural on the raptor then say feathered wings.

I wish I could draw that good...On the computer or on paper :P

TT: Thanks. ^_^ It definitely helps that I use a tablet. I find it hard to draw anything halfway decent with a mouse.

Doc: True. Some more motivation would do me good.

I've been thinking about the idea of a new character. I think if i do make one, it will be a raptor, since I've always wanted to play as one, but never got around to making one for some reason. Anyway, it would probably look a bit like this...

Not my best, but I think it would make a nice character.

Its cool, reminds me of a combination of a real Velo and a JP version.

Scaley skin and body type of a JP raptor, and the slightly narrow snout like a real raptor.

Awesome job.

Big thanks to everyone who likes and comments on my drawings. I know I've been inactive for a while, so I decided to upload this pic I did last night (which was supposed to be a dino-like griffin but ended up as a cat-griff.) It started as a doodle, then I decided to color it...

http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/1536 ... finwp2.jpg

... And then I added an experimental background.

Not sure which one is better. I probably could've spent more time on the BG.

Woah, awesome work yet again Pyro. I think the background one is a lot better, just because it makes it more epic :P

wow... pretty cool Pyro.. Its head looks a bit wierd, like a cats head with a beak rammed onto it. Thats most likely what it was supposed to look like but it just doesnt seem to work, I think it would be better if the head was more bird like.

Doc: Actually, I think you're right. I wasn't all that happy with it from the beginning, and tried changing it a little bit, but it never really looked right. It was around 11:00 at night, so I just lived with it. :P

Epicness is good. I'll be practicing that more...

Zeph... lol. Thanks.

Edit: A night or two ago, I attempted to draw Twilight (hope Doc doesn't mind.) I'm not sure I got all the colors right, and if I didn't, I'll change them. There are a couple of small mistakes in the pics, but overall, I think they came out fairly well.

http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/2953/twilightjw6.jpg

And here's Twi (slightly darkened, since I though he looked a little too light in the previous pic) on a background of blurred trees and other layers I made.

http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/673/ ... t14tq3.jpg

I like this version better...
