On the Tuesday of this week, I killed my first Ucamulbas without dying once, although I did have some close calls. Regarding you fighting Akantor, Are you intending to use your TDS on him or something else?

TDS is my best bet against all monsters except a few, like my Centrainian dagger is best against Gaoren

I find Naruga somewhat annoying because of his tail and boomerang ability, but I find plenty of success against him when I use my Golf falchion.

I have MH:F, and I can't kill the stupid Yian Garuga. That thing is like taking steroids, man!!! All my blades bounce off its hide!!! It's crazy!!!

rofl, Garuga....I remember those days. The G-rank Garuga on Freedom Unite was no problem for me =D

Try getting a long sword with an element other than fire, as Garuga IS fire, so it would be stupid fighting him with that. Try thunder element, build up your spirit bar and sustain it through out the fight

Yaaa, Garuga in MHF1 is a f*cking monster. He is 329632598 times worse then any Garuga in MHF2 or MHFU.

Finally unlocked HR8 Azure Lao. The quest in which I had to fight a Blue Kut Ku, Green plesioth and Purple Hermitaur was somewhat annoying no thanks to Green plessy taking longer to die than I expected.

trust me CS. MHF1's Garuga would rip the new one several new a**holes....and to top it off there AREN'T longswords in MHF1....so the fast and furious tactic we use isn't an option. the closest to it is the Dual Swords, and you and i [and every other MH player here] knows all too well what a Garuga can do to an inexperienced DS user....
