Ya...things like the Eager Cleaver were greatswords in MH1/MHF1.

Still one of my favorite weapons, even back then.

Say TT, can you reccomend a weapon for the quest Hunter's Funeral that would be decent and taking on normal Khezu, Shogun, Plesioth and Diablos?

Probably TDS or its upgrades. The quest kinda fits the format of another quest I've done, with Khezu and Plessy. Plessy, Diablos, and Shogun are a larger pain in the arse then Khezu, and TDS is effective against them (Especially Plessy).

I've killed g-rank Khezu with TDS before, so its no big deal.

Fought Garuga today.

It went badly. I hacked at its head (its ONLY weak spot >.<) and sliced its ear off. It then smacked me with its tail, hit me with a fireball, and trampled. I then got knocked out, sen back to camp, ran out of time, and failed the quest.

Yeah.... it sucked badly.

G4E:Have you tried the Garuga glitch? Just take a Spiderweb, trade it to the elder and wait for time to run out. You'll clear the quest and next time you do the quest, Garuga will be much weaker and you can easily kill him.

use water element weapons if possible. if it was MHF2 or more recent, i'd suggest a water element bow. those things mangle Grav and Bas like nobody's business....

I wish I could make a water sword, but, since I'm still HR1, I can't get monster bone+, so I can't make the finblade. So now, I'm stuck in limbo- I can't kill any new wyverns, nor can I increase in rank.

a game called Monster Hunter. it's mainly on the PSP but there are installments on the PS2 and PC [the latter not in English, unfortunately], and soon, on the PS3 [and perhaps Wii? or was it cancelled?] too...

in the game you play as a hunter who hunts down various kinds of dragons/wyverns/monsters for a living, and climb up the Hunter Ranks [HR] as you go.
