F-fun? Steeltalon thought, backing up several more paces with her eyes very wide, now wondering why exactly she hadn't run when she'd had the chance. She turned to do just that, intent on scaling a tree or something to hide in safety until the chaos had passed.

The twins again fell silent, Sylicora shuffling a foot through the grass uncomfortably. They had both sensed a change in the stranger and knew that something they said had affected him somehow, though they, especially the olive raptor, were hesitant to push on. After all, they didn't know how he might react if one of them accidentally touched a nerve. Rhojis looked somewhere between wary and apologetic as he started to mutter, "Sorry, I... didn't mean that to sound-" "Maybe we really should get those ferns now," Sylicora hissed, wondering if it would be better to let the stranger go on his way. "Besides, Dad could be back any minute. He only went to get a couple compies," she added in a low hiss to her brother. Rhojis still looked torn, but shot a glance at the surrounding trees at the mention of their father...

Aircrest's expression was blank as he stared at the two raptors, before growling "You shouldn't feel bad about speaking what's on your mind. If someone takes it the wrong way then its their problem. Just...don't get yourself killed doing it" His voice was flat, as if his attention was somewhere else. In an instant the raptor had turned on his feet and bolted away from the cave, once again finding himself speeding to a destination unknown. Instead of fear driving his legs, it was sorrow and the desire to be alone. When the past crept up from the far reaches of his mind, he felt as if the entire island was looking at him. It was waiting for him to give into the sadness and show just how weak he really was. He needed a place to hide, a sanctuary, free from the prying eyes of his surroundings...

For a moment, Rhojis almost opened his mouth again to say something, but by the time he had turned his head back, the dark green raptor was darting away. His thought faded without ever reaching his tongue, and after a few moments, in which he simply watched the stranger sprint into the distance, Sylicora nudged his shoulder. She jerked her head toward the nearest leafy fern bush and moved off toward it, the gray raptor following behind. Sylicora began to repeat what they'd done before, plucking out a handful of vegetation. "Sy, did you think that was a little... strange?" Rhojis hissed as he imitated his sister. "Which part exactly?" She hissed before transferring the fronds to her mouth and pulling out some more. "I dunno. Just the way he talked. It was like... like-" "Like he fidn't quite underfstand the bond pack raptorf have?" she murmured through the ferns. "Yeah." Rhojis put his first bunch of fronds in his mouth, yanked the second from the plant, and the two silently turned and walked off to the cave...

Meanwhile, Beryl was carrying a small compy in each hand and had just come across an unguarded nest of caudipteryx hatchlings. Making a mental note of the location, the orange-brown raptor stashed the dead compies beneath the tangled roots of an old tree, and crept toward the nest, predatory gaze locked on the young feathered dinosaurs...

Before he knew it, Aircrest found himself nestled in the roots of a tree, the dirt around the tendrils loose. He had inadvertently created a small burrow for himself when he came to a sudden halt over the spot, the soil collapsing underneath his feet and making a shallow depression that extended underneath the trunk of the tree. It was there that the green raptor decided to lay down, trying to force his sadness back to where it resided for years...

Not much was said between the two juveniles as they went about their task, hopping up the stone 'steps' one after the other and depositing the leafy fronds in a far corner of the cave, near the protruding rocks they had found the strange raptor hiding behind. Sylicora gave the tiny outcrop a sideways glance as she passed by on her way out for another load of foliage, almost expecting to see the eyes of another raptor shining from the shadows. Though she never voice her thoughts, she could tell her brother was mulling things over just as much as she was. He followed her out of the cave automatically, his mind clearly not fully on his task...

Meanwhile, Beryl had crept closer to the nest, and was now crouched behind some low bushes only feet from the nest. In the few minutes he had been stalking up to this point, he had remained alert for signs that the young dinosaurs' pack would return, but so far, he had sensed nothing at all in the forest around him. It looked almost too easy, the raptor thought, a feeling of mild unease creeping into the back of his mind. For now, he ignored it, passing it off as his suspicious nature getting the better of him, and crept further forward, lined himself up, and darted from cover. Immediately, a startled cry went up from the group of chicks, followed by a pitiful, strangled screech from the oldest of them as Beryl's jaws swooped in, swiftly caught hold of its neck, and yanked it painfully out of its nest. Without wasting a moment, the raptor made a sweeping turn and darted back into the forest, not stopping until he had come back to the old tree where he'd hidden the compies. With a violent shake of his head, the young caudipteryx' gurgling screams were silenced, and he transferred the feathered dinosaur to his hand, looking at the little body and growling to himself, "That was easier than expected. Figured I'd find someone around here who'd want to put up a fight." He crouched down at the base of the tree and brushed away the leaves he'd used to cover the two compies, pulling them out and standing up, satisfied with what he had found. The three of them would at least have enough food to last a short time, until they could make a bigger kill. As the rusty raptor turned to walk in the direction of the cave, something slender and light colored suddenly dashed through the vegetation to his right. He whirled around to face it, instantly alert, but it was nowhere to be seen. He barely had time to hiss, "I knew it," under his breath before a deep red, double-crested snout broadsided him, knocking him to the ground and winding him. His catch flew out of his grasp on impact and a long-necked, red, gray and black striped dinosaur nearly twice his own size stepped into view, glaring down at Beryl. The creature bared his teeth and snarled, "Why do you raptors always do this?! We've warned your kind countless times to stay away from our territory, but do you ever listen? NO. YOU. DON'T!" The larger saurian punctuated the end of his angry statement by kicking Beryl hard in the leg, the raptor shrieking in pain as he felt his shin bone crack. "I'm sorry, I didn't know!" Beryl gasped, attempting to scramble away from the creature. "Ha!" the red dinosaur laughed. "Don't pretend you haven't heard the message we've given each and every one of your kind who's come this way!" Beryl managed to scramble to a tree and attempted to heave himself to his feet. "Well, I don't know what you've been telling the raptors around here because I'm not from this area! I honestly had no idea you were here! If I'd known-" "Just go away! And tell whoever else you see that this part of the forest is taken!" said a female voice as a smaller, light gray dinosaur of the same species slipped seemingly from out of nowhere to join the male. With a huffing snort and one last scowl, the crested saurian whirled around and stomped angrily away, muttering something about untrustworthy meddling raptors, the female sweeping off in his wake, leaving Beryl leaning against the tree, confused and in pain...

The Baryonyx stumbled into the clearing, breathing heavily as blood drippled lightly from it's snout, eyes zipping right and left, searching wildly for the attacker, before stopping on the pale Raptor ahead. with a loud roar, the beast began to walk towards her, fangs bared and claws outstretched...

Crusher charged down the hallway, eyes zipping around, trying to figure out how to get out of this place, the Rex being forced to suddenly change directions, swerving into a room just as a Carnotaurus seemed to materialise in front of him, it's jaws and upper torso lunging in after the Rex into the doorway, which turned out being just barely too small for it to fit. The thoughts raced through the Rex's head as he tried to think of a solution. His entrance was no longer an option. It would be crawling with Carnotaurus. looking around him, he saw the place was a mess of vines and jagged clear stone-like formations, smashed incubation tanks where embryos would've been grown early in the Sorna Experiments. moss and lichen grew thickly on the walls of the room, as well as on a smashed table, which seemed to embed itself halfway into the grass and fern-covered floor, the square tiles smashed and scattered, only patches of it still intact. The Rex saw an exit from the chamber ahead of him, to the side, the Rex rushing towards it, leaving it into a larger room, light filling it through a green, semi-transparent barrier, the large window having yet to have shattered. However, just as the Rex began to feel hope at the sight of a hole in one corner of the window and moving toward it, he noted silhouettes showing against the walls, to his sides and ahead of him, his heart sinking into his gut as ripples of mottling ran across the silhouettes' forms, the grey, green and brown forms of nearly a dozen Carnotaurus materialising before the young Rex's eyes, The Rex stepping back, only to feel the rough sandpaper-like hide of another one, the Rex leaping forward and putting distance between himself and the gurgling predator, the pack circling around him like hungry sharks, over a dozen deep orange and gold eyes staring at him hungrily, gleaming as the light hit them at angles, the Rex shuddering as a chilling cacophony of hissing and gurgling snarls rang out through the massive chamber...things seemed bleak for the young Rex as he turned around, looking around at him in an attempt to keep his eyes on all his potential killers at once...

Aircrest's eyes shot open, the amber pools ablaze as they darted from side to side, expecting to see the clawed feet of the red elder. In his mind, he could see the raptor's face adorned with a smirk, amused by his crisis. The elder would probably find him weak, hiding from the world like a scared hatchling- or compy. After seeing no such thing, the raptor started to calm himself, realizing that he had started panting, puffs of dust being blown away from his jaws and heaving chest. He couldn't shake the feeling that the old raptor was somewhere, hidden from view but being more than able to see him, even under the gnarled roots of a tree. He tried his best to brush the thought away, muttering to himself "He can't be everywhere. He just can't" The green and black raptor was some distance away from the elder's domain, after all. He couldn't imagine being followed for such a long way, only to be spied on...

Despite her fear, Steeltalon let out a defiant snarl, moving to keep a fair distance between herself and the Baryonyx, while at the same time edging towards a climbable tree. If she could get high enough fast enough, she could wait out this quarrel.

The Baryonyx's stride widened, the predator snarling as it broke into a slow trot towards the Raptor, just as a moderately sized branch plummeted overhead, hitting the predator with a loud crack, a screech of pain coming from the predator. "Hey! FISHBREATH! Up here!" barked the Wild Raptor, the Baryonyx looking up, just as the Raptor landed on it's head, skidding down it's head and neck, leaving a series of 12 claw marks across the predator's head, Fatalis landing by it's feet, springing to the side as the predator reared up in an attempt to stomp him, the Raptor bolting around behind it,The Bary turning round, the second Raptor forgotten as Fatalis once again drew it's attention...

Hungry eyes peered through the undergrowth, the animal's coloration allowing it to blend in the shadows of the jungle well. Down wind of the strange display, the Allosaur was biding its time. Although Baryonyx were of similar size, their habits as fish eaters made them easy prey for something such as himself, unlike their larger Spinosaur cousins, which he avoided as best he could. He would wait until the raptor brought its pursuer closer, and, if everything went well, by the time the Baryonyx knew he was there, it would be too late...

As Crusher glanced around at the Carnotaurus pack poised to slaughter him, a series of intricate bird-like chirping and whistling began to ring through the room, a few of the Carnotaurus snorting and glancing around confusedly. the largest of the back reared up and roared loudly, the gurgling tiger-like roar shaking the entire room before taking a stride towards the young Tyrannosaur. It's figure seemed about 30 feet in length, and it's skin was crocodile like, made up of plates of armour starting behind it's large horns and heading down it's back. It's dark orange eyes shimmered malevolently in the low light of the room, though even in the dark it's gaze alone showed the predator had no intention of letting the Rex out alive. As it took another stride forward, Crusher retaliated with his own roar, the young Rex's rumbling roar already gaining some of the characteristics of the rumbling bellow that would one day send chills down the spines of any who heard it, the Rex's roar ringing through the room powerfully, a series of irritated and angered hisses coming from the Carnotaurs around him, though they were silenced by a gurgling growl from their apparent leader. Crusher's eyes widened as the predator lunged, the Rex's fangs bared. If he was going to die....he would take his killer with him...

Taking advantage of the distraction, Steeltalon skittered up the tree as fast as she could, coming to a halt several tree branches above the Baryonyx's head and digging her claws in to prevent losing her balance. She flattened herself against the bark, hoping that and her black and white coloring would be enough to prevent her from being spotted again.

After another two trips to the fern bushes, the pile in the corner of the cave finally seemed deep and large enough for the three raptors to sleep comfortably. While Rhojis crouched in the cave entrance to keep an eye out for their father, Sylicora took it upon herself to test out the finished product, laying down first on one end, rolling around a bit, scratching some loose ferns back into place, and crawling to the other end, if only to be sure the leafy bedding was thick enough so that gaps wouldn't open up from normal movement.

Deeper in the forest, a pair of painfully uneven footsteps rustled through the leaf litter as Beryl staggered away from the crested dinosaurs' border as quickly as his fractured leg would allow. He didn't dare call out to his family yet for fear he would attract the attention of more of the temperamental saurians. The rusty raptor inwardly cursed himself for letting this happen. How would they get enough food now, with the only half-decent hunter down for the count? He glancing down at what he carried wrapped in his arm, their lifeless bodies swaying with each limping step. At least he had managed to bring the two compies and hatchling caudipteryx with him. They weren't much though. Someone would have to hunt in a day or two. After another minute, the orange-brown raptor staggered up to a tree and paused for a few moments to lean against it, holding his stinging leg off the ground. He thought he was about halfway back to the cave, likely within earshot of the twins if he called loudly enough. He only hoped they would hear him before something else did...

Rhojis' head snapped up, the young raptor jerked out of his wandering thoughts by a faint but familiar call that came from deeper in the forest. He jumped to his feet and turned on the spot, hissing loudly into the cave, "Listen, Sy, it's dad!" The olive juvenile rolled to her feet, shaking off a loose fern frond, and hurried to her brother's side. When the call repeated, her yellow eyes went wide with fear. "That's definitely a distress call! Something must have gone wrong! Let's go!" With that, she leaped over the rocky steps and out of the cave, her brother right behind her, and bolted recklessly off toward the source of the noise, hardly bothering to think of what kind of dangers the forest held and what had caused the normally self-sufficient Beryl to call for help in the first place...

A dull thump was audible near the injured Beryl followed by a pained hiss, sounding off near the base of a tree. Aircrest, battling his emotions and on edge because of the elder raptor jumped at the call. It was only after slamming his head against the underside of the root burrow did he realize it was a distress call. It took a few seconds longer for him to recognize the cry. It came from the elder of the raptor pack, the father of the twins. "Of course he would end up here" Aircrest muttered irritably to himself, shaking his head. "Why the hell is he calling for help?" he went onto say, daring to twist himself around and peak out from the roots, his golden eyes catching the scattered light of the forest floor, glowing in the shadows...

Eradicus looks around the beach, staring at the birds in the air, the lizards scurrying about through the sand and a some points, even the sea creatures swimming about, whilst waiting for his friend Gothmog.

The raptors continued on with their daily lives, whilst a small group of them went to hunt for food from a pack of hadrosaurs, since their last meal was made of nothing but bones now, fit for bone-necklaces and toothpicks.

Crusher's eyes narrowed, jaws wide and poised to take as big a bite out of his opponent as he could...

The Rex never got the opportunity...

As the Carnotaurus lunged, a cacophony of calls rang through the room. The piercing screech of a Velociraptor rang out, the call hurting the ears of every creature in the room, the Carnotaurus recoiling with gurgling snarls as their leader roared out in pain, stumbling backwards, Crusher's eyes wide with shock, disorientated by the sudden change of situation, staring, stunned as he saw the predator before him, glaring back at him, one eye completely mutilated, the side of it's face shredded as a Raptor landed between it and the Rex, claws splayed and fangs bared, a rattling hiss coming from the rusty red, black striped Velociraptor, blood dripping from it's claws. the Carnotaurus snarled as it stared at the Raptor, a blend of shock and fury in it's gaze as it lunged once more, the Raptor leaping forward, colliding claws first with the Carnotaur's face, Ripper's clawed feet hitting the predator's snout, The Raptor's claws firmly latching him in place, improving his hold on it's skull as he dug his claws into the top of it's snout, the predator flailing with a panicked bellow, suddenly fearful of the dromeosaur, the Elder letting one foot slip from it's anchor as he swung sideways with the predator's thrashing, Ripper landing on the side of it's face, his cold, sadistic smirk the last thing the Carnotaurus saw as his claws shredded it's other eye, kicking off sharply as the Carnotaurus roared in agony, stumbling around as it shook it's head, hoping against hope that perhaps the Raptor had missed and that it's blindness was a result of blood pouring into it's eyes. Ripper landed on the floor, his stance wide, claws outstretched as he screeched in challenge to the Carnotaurus pack, many of whom were either fearful of the small, incredibly vicious hunter, or already considering their now crippled leader as a safer choice for a meal. One of the Carnotaurus lunged towards Crusher, the Rex charging back at it, head held low, swinging upwards as they closed and dazing the Carnotaurus, the two stumbling as they recovered, the Carnotaurus recovering a split second sooner and lunging for the Rex, only to meet Crusher's jaws face first, the young Rex gripping it sideways and biting down, the full force of the young Tyrannosaur's jaws brought to bear on the horned predator's skull, thrashing sideways and bringing the body to the floor as a symphony of crunches sounded out, the Carnotaur's neck snapping as it's skull caved in under the force of the Rex's jaws, Crusher straightening, glancing around, a rumbling snarl coming from the Rex, his grey and tan skin having gained a more vibrant tint, dark black-blue accented by orange-tan blotches across his form, his tan underside having turned a creamy off-white shade. The Raptor edged towards the hole in the wall, screeching and barking, the acoustics almost making it seem there were more Raptors in the room, the disaster leaving the Carnotaurus pack stunned and hesitant, measuring their situation as they tried to decide whether it was a good idea to press the attack. Crusher followed the Raptor, knowing it was probably his only chance to escape this place...

Fatalis cackled as the hissing, panting Baryonyx edged closer, saliva dripping in thick viscous strings from it's open jaws. "At the rate you're going you'll need to jump back in a pond, with the frogs where you belong! You're drooling a river!" hissed the Raptor as he shot between it's legs, the Bary missing by an inch with it's claws and again with it's tail as Fatalis dove to the side, the Raptor's mocking, infuriating laugh driving the Bary into a rage, the Raptor standing in front of a tree as he turned to eye it, his expression suddenly blank as the Bary snarled, bursting into a charge, the area between himself and the predator running right past the resting Allosaurus, the Bary's attention too focused on the Raptor to notice the well camouflaged predator in the trees...

The Allosaur lunged out of the trees, its head lowered as it collided with the Baryonyx's flank, swinging its head upward as it did, throwing the other creature off balance and onto its side. Not about to give it time to react, Slackjaw placed a foot on its side and lunged at its neck to deliver the killing blow...

The next thing Crusher felt was the feeling of being hit head on by a wall, the pain running through his side as, for a few split seconds, he knew the meaning of weightlessness, the Rex being knocked off his feet and tumbling to a halt several feet away. The Rex got up, shaking his head as the gurgling snarl of the Pack Leader rang out to his side, the thumping of it's strides shaking the ground as it charged towards him, blinded but still having it's sense of smell and hearing to aid it, Crusher diving out of the way as the predator steamed past, slamming into one of the camouflaged Carnotaurus as the young Rex rushed towards the Raptor, Ripper attached to the neck of another Carnotaurus as a second lunged for the Raptor, disregarding the damage it may inflict on it's brethren as it's horns seemed angled right for the Raptor and the neck it was attached to...

The Raptor kicked off with unnatural ease, having seemingly anticipated the attack, evading the charging Carnotaurus easily, the blow sending it and the unfortunate victim stumbling off course and slamming into the window of the massive room, the glass smashing loudly and cascading to the floor as the fighting suddenly ceased, a large shard of glass sinking into the Carnotaurus' back as it fell to the floor, it's spine severed, the one it had charged killed from a lethal horn injury to the neck. Ripper eyed the corpses as he glanced at the Rex and the Carnotaurus, a rattling hiss ringing out into the suddenly silenced room before heading for the now massive hole in the window, Crusher diving out after him, leaving the pack of predators in disarray, a collection of the predators now circling their conveniently blinded leader, their need for food now satisfied in the form of the 30 foot behemoth...

"Have fun Fish-breath. I'm out of here. You bore me" barked the Raptor with a cackle as the Bary screeched in horror at the attack, managing to kick out the Allosaur's other foot and ruin it's balance, struggling to it's feet as it put some space between itself and the Large predator as Fatalis ran round the two, heading towards the Raptor from earlier, wanting to see if she was alright...
