Deciding that nothing in the area was dangerous enough to drive him away and his presence would most likely keep other large carnivores out of the area for a while, Nyx stepped out of the trees. His white skin made him easily noticeable once he made himself visible, and he doubted that retreating back to the trees would keep him hidden any longer. Walking at a steady pace over to the diplodocus, making one of the Allosaurus retreat a few meters back to avoid confrontation with the larger predator. Still, to assert his dominance, Nyx roared. His roar was different than the usual Tyrannosaurus roar. It was even more... primal, more creepy. That sent both Allosaurus reeling back to a different part of the carcass. Growling, Nyx ducked his head down and began to feed, trying to satisfy his hunger.
"The government!" Willow started to rant again. "They stole our water and now they're stealing our souls! Lightbulbs are bri- K IS FOR POTASSIUM! Get your umbrellas, folks, it's gonna be a rainy day!" Okay, maybe she'd completely lost it..." -Me roleplaying on a different site.

Steeltalon padded onward, feeling weariness tug at her limbs. She felt sore all over, and her head was spinning, a million thoughts rushing through her head. Without the energy to sort them all out, she kept walking, hoping to find a safe place to rest sometime soon.

The raptor sprang from the branch that he currently stood upon, landing upon the one that he had been aiming for with a thump. Maloriak had long since left the other two raptors that he had met behind, having grown impatient when he had offered to assist them with finding their missing packmates, but had not led him to where they had last been seen. He had now returned to the roaming he had been doing before encountering the two who had requested his aid, but must not have actually needed it if they had not bothered to lead him to the last known location of their companions...

The Albinos' temporary home wasn't really bustling with activity that day, with most of the raptors hiding within. Sharpclaw himself had decided to go scouting personally. They had mostly been relying on scavenging, stealing from kills, or hunting small prey under the cover of night. The Albino leader was currently on the lookout for anything he could find, preferably something big enough to provide a real meal for once. Many of his pack were going hungry, more so than when they lived in the relative comfort of Death Valley...

Stoneclaw and Howler had long since left their "plan" behind after the encounter with the Troodon. In Stoneclaw's words: "Well, that was a bust." After returning to Death Valley empty-clawed, they were out hunting once more as was usual for the raptor brothers...

A gentle breeze blew in the Direction of Maloriak and with it came something that made him pause as he had been preparing to jump to the next branch. The faint scent of another velociraptor reached him and as the breeze blew in his direction for several more seconds, brought no other scents with it, making it clear that the raptor was on it's own. Leaping from the tree branch and landing upon the ground below, he began to walk in the direction of the scent, already feeling cautious in case the other raptor proved to be hostile to him. "If it doesn't have any hostile intentions in mind, I hope that I will walk away from meeting this raptor feeling like I at least had a decent encounter, unlike with those other two" Maloriak growled to himself...

Sharpclaw smelled Maloriak too, and paused. It was only a single raptor, which he was confident he could handle, but he would be more cautious than usual now. Raptors were rarely found alone, and he'd rather not stumble blindly into the territory of a less-than-cordial pack of them...

Maloriak continued to head in the direction of Sharpclaw's scent, which was getting steadily stronger. He felt that the other raptor was most likely a loner like himself, for raptors living in packs almost always went out with at least one packmate coming with them. If the other creature had been part of a pack once, then there was the possibility that it's pack had exiled it for saftey reasons, which was another reason to treat any encounter with loners with caution...

Sharpclaw stayed low to the ground as he began to finish his patrol, tracking the distant skittering of a Compy. Not the best meal, but the only thing he really could catch at the moment...

Now close enough to Sharpclaw for his scent to be able to be tracked easily, Maloriak also picked up the scent of a compy further away. Having little interest in eating such a small creature that took some effort to catch and didn't provide much food even if caught, he chose to ignore it. After he spoke with the other raptor, he would go off in search of a herbivore that would be worth the effort of bringing down...

Nyx kept his watch on the Allosaurs, as they were a bit to close for his comfort. Although they weren't making any advances, they could easily go in to attack him if they were stupid enough. It seemed that the only predator that was keeping it's distance was the Utahraptor, which was probably a result of either it's higher intelligence or greater common sense. When Nyx felt satisfied, he backed away from the carcass, and allowed the Allosaurs to move in on the spot he was it. He stalked off to the side, his body directly in front of Crusher and the others, but he wasn't facing them, instead watching the other predators from a slight distance.

Mars snorted as he checked the area for any other dangers. Deciding that he could possibly return to the swamp, he barked and snorted at the pack to follow him as the Stokesosaurus leader started to walk back to the marshy wetlands that he wished to call home once again...

Ulysses was confused. Why was a Tyrannosaurus helping a trapped dinosaur? Was this Rex crazy? Stupid, perhaps? It was quite a confusing event indeed, and Ulysses just couldn't put his claw on the reason why...

Djinn had started sleeping, now in Nyx and Fish's territory once again. Little did he know that a bloody and seemingly endless battle take place in his future, and against an unexpected opponent...

Fish stomped her foot, another Spinosaurs had come into the territory, and wanted it. However, this male was young, and not a full grown adult like Fish. The spinosaurus took the stomp as a challenge, and roared. Fish growled, roaring herself, her older an more powerful roar over shadowed the younger spinosaurus'. When Fish finished her roar, she turned, showing her size and sail to intimidate the smaller spinosaurus. Flushing blood to her spine, it's colors began to become more vibrant. The smaller Spinosaur backed off, and walked into the tree line, and disappeared. Fish growled to herself and walked back to Nyx's hill, and layed down on it. "One of these days, Nyx, one of these days..." she muttered to herself.

Djinn could smell his brother's presence nearby. He almost instantly burst to his feet, growling at the scent of Mars. The Stokesosaurus watched as the smaller Spino departed, then looked to Fish.

"My brother is coming back. I have some unfinished business to attend to." the grizzled creature grunted with a twitch of the head, then glancing towards the direction of which the great stench of revenge would soon fill the air...

"Do what you like, but if you need some help, just roar. I'll come to help if I heard you. Nyx would be far better than me, but he's out doing whatever he's doing" Fish said. "Now go, and come back unharmed, but remember, revenge makes you no better than him." Fish said, and resumed her resting. This time turning her sail to face the sun.

"I'll try to come back with some food. It's been a while since I've cannibalized..." Djinn snarled, licking his chops at the thought of ridding the island of his brother, along with getting a decent meal in the process.

Mars walked into the swamp, investigating the prints on the ground before him. He could see that they both types were from Tyrannosaurs, one set smaller than the other. His brother had perhaps survived...?

Meanwhile, Bear could sense danger. She wanted to leave this area at once, as the pack was already down a member.

"Mars, come on. I don't want to stick around." the female snorted, looking to the side.

"Go. I'm gonna find out what happened here..." Mars snarled back, sniffing the swampy ground...

Fish sighed. She knew she couldn't stop Djinn, she could only hope he would be fine. "Just try to keep yourself out of a situation you cant fix." She said, and got up herself, walking to the nearest river to drink and fish. She dipped her snout into the cool water, and lapped up as much as she wanted until she was satisfied. Looking to the water, she saw a dark shape swim by, one of a fish. She swung her claws down, spearing the fish, and pulled it up. When she saw what it was, she internally winced at a flashback.

Flashback...

"You shouldn't eat that many sawfish, it'll fatten you to Sauropod sizes" Nyx said, watching her throw one after another of the tasty but fattening fish on the shore. "Ha! As if!"

Two weeks later...

"Curses..."

After that day many years ago she never ate another sawfish. She placed the fish back in the water and walked away, her appetite lost.

Djinn waited for the pack to leave completely, as he wanted to confront Mars alone. The predatory dinosaur approached his brother with a grim look on his face, walking slowly through the mist.

"Mars." the first Stokesosaurus snorted.

"Djinn! You're alive! How about you come back to the pack and things can be like the old times?"

"Sadly, that's not what I'm here for, brother." Djinn snarled as he wrapped his jaws around Mars's neck before throwing him to the ground...

As Crusher moved forwards with Steeltalon, a familiar scent struck his nostrils, barely discernible over the scent of the kill behind them. Pausing, the Rex lifted his head, taking a few sniffs of the air as he turned his head left and right, trying to pinpoint a position, his head soon stopping in one specific direction, the Rex tilting his head downwards, the shimmer of his golden eyes eerie when coupled with the blood covering his jaws. The young Tyrannosaur smiled cheerfully as he caught the glint of his friend's eyes in the undergrowth. "I was wondering when you'd catch up" he growled with a smile...

"It wasn't easy," Darkness growled in response as he pushed past the foliage. The raptor's expression was of tired relief. Finding his old friend again was a massive weight off his mind, and the wear and tear of recent events suddenly became more obvious.

"Well hey, tracking's my speciality. Gotta make up for your speed advantage somehow. Other half of a whole, eh?" growled Crusher with a chuckle, though he could see the strain in the Raptor's eyes, as well as in his movement. The last couple of days had obviously been tough on him. Inwardly he hoped that it wasn't his fault...
