Sharpclaw relaxed, but only slightly. "...about what?" Last he checked, the jungle's inhabitants were rarely interested in talking. He was going to be careful, whether he needed to or not...

Maloriak growled:"About each other. I'm a loner and instances in which I get to talk with others are few and far between. I've also been bored lately from many uneventful days of just roaming and taking in the sights."

Crusher chuckled. "Shouldn't be too difficult. I'm too strong for the ones fast enough to catch me, and too fast for the ones strong enough to beat me" he responded with a smirk as he turned, heading for the edge of the treeline, the scavenger-infested kill drifting into view as he pushed his way past trees, bushes and ferns...

"Wow. Still breathing? I'm amazed you haven't been plucked up by a Rex or Carcha by now" hissed a familiar voice in the trees as golden eyes looked down at Sharpclaw, Fatalis settling in a crouch on a moderately high tree branch, the Loner taking note of the Raptor the acquaintence was conversing with...

Sharpclaw looked up at the newcomer, and sighed. "Ah. You again. Is there something you need, loner? I doubt I will provide good sport..." he growled. he really wasn't in the mood for this, and he certainly wasn't in the mood to be outnumbered by potentially hostile raptors. He had probably run straight into a trap, anyway. Ah, well. He had lasted longer than he thought he would...

"What are you doing!?" Mars snarled, now pinned by Djinn's foot.

"I'm preparing for my next meal." Djinn growled back, opening his jaws and wrapping them around Mars's neck...

Maloriak briefly glanced up in the direction of the voice of the raptor in the trees, then brought his attention back to Sharpclaw again and growled:"Given the words of what sounds like an acquantence of yours, it sounds as though you have a rather rough life. Perhaps our encounter could actually prove to be benefitcial for both of us." The words of the Albino made it sound like the two raptors didn't have hostile intentions for him, but until he found out more, he wasn't going to let his guard down in case they did indeed have aggression in mind...

Thorn Jaw growled in irritation, his body itching and throbbing from the recent wounds that had befell the large carnivore. Rising to his feet with a snarl of renewed pain the Ceratosaur walked down to the rivers edge, his eyes looking down into the murky depths. Sighing the large theropod eased his aching body into the surf, feeling his body groan in protest. Sinking to about his shoulder Thorn Jaw awaits something he knows lurks in the murky depths...

Silence stood in the center of a large gathering of all the adult members of his pack, his eyes drifting to each of the individual members. The ebony alpha raptor stood higher than the others waiting an appropriate time for his pack to settle. growling to signal his pack to pay attention Silence begins to speak, quietly as always.
"After a small patrol of our surrounding territory Huntress, Broken Jaw and I discovered the mangled and disemboweled corpse of our former pack mate Claw." Silence growls barks of fear and concern flood the pack as they look to each other wondering about their own fates.
"Quiet!" snarls Huntress silencing the pack with an authoritative stance and voice. Looking over at Silence who is also growling at his pack to settle down Huntress nods to him asserting that he may continue.
"As I was saying, whatever killed claw wasn't alone. From the size of the wounds and foot prints littering the kill I would be guess that Claw was ambushed by at least 10 or so adversaries." Silence growls his pack becoming agitated once more.
"Was it the pack across the river? They have been eying our patch of the plains for months now!" One raptor called out other pack members agreeing with him. Huntress looks to Silence as the alpha does the same to his mate starting to worry that his pack may jump to conclusions.
"No, calm yourselves if it were the Blood River pack members they would have left a sign that they were a rival pack. They wouldn't have mutilated Claw! Besides Blood River is weaker than us they are few of numbers and skinny from sharing their territory with super carnivores. I believe what killed Claw was none other than what has been stalking us after every hunt as of three weeks ago!" Silence barks his pack looking at him in shock and realization. Most of the pack think of the strange creatures that hide themselves in the long grass and dark forests. Other remember seeing the glowing yellow eyes of the monsters in the dark. The whole gathering recalls the stalking menace, many of the raptors physically shuttering in fear of the unknown beings. Silence stands, cool and collected as an Alpha should standing before his pack.
"I am sure they dispatched our pack mate to warn us, to put the fear of them in us! They showed today that they are numerous and powerful and not afraid to attack My pack in My own territory. They tried to frighten us into submission and flee our home! But what they were not prepared for was our toughness, fearlessness and ruthlessness! The Savanna Pack will not succumb to nightmares in the dark we will stand and prevail in the face of such a challenge!" Silence snarls, his pack boiling with the blood for battle. Huntress and Broken Jaw look at each other never having seen Silence become so vocal and menacing. Huntress knew however that they would need this if they were to survive this night...

Shade continued to walk to the swamp, where she would reside for the rest of the day...

Mars snarled as he snapped and wallowed, attempting to escape; however, Djinn's vengeance was the strongest predator on the island, along with the most angered. Djinn snarled back, biting into Mars's head with a mighty thrust, then proceeding to burrow his fangs deeper and deeper into the scaly hide of his brother. Mars couldn't escape now.

"After all I helped you through! I was your leader!" the bleeding alpha snapped in pain and sorrow, attempting to pull Djinn away and thus escape alive. However, this wish would not come true.

"I am my own leader, fool!" Djinn hissed as he let go of Mars's head. He noticed his brother trying to flee with a bleeding snout only, but he would not tolerate his brother's life at this time. Djinn rammed his head into his former leader's ribs with great force, nearly knocking Mars over. The larger Stokesosaur staggered sideways and let out a groan. He was growing weak. Mars suddenly felt a pain in his ankle- a sharp one at that. Djinn's jaws were wrapped around it, and tugging backwards, ripping off scales and tearing through tissue, each of his teeth working like tiny hooks. Mars fell onto his stomach before scrambling to get up, feeling his brother letting go of his leg. Djinn started to roll the former leader over, exposing the stomach...

Fear had begun to grip Gothmog as he wandered deep into the heart of the jungle. How long had it been since he left his friends? Why did he even leave them in the first place? Curiosity? Stupidity? Anger? Gothmog couldn't remember. It had been a while now, and his mind had been overpowered with fear by now. The cries of distant beasts, the caws of sky reptiles, and the bellowing roars of a nearby titan kept Gothmog in check. How he missed his mother's warm embrace now....

It wasn't long before Crusher had reached the kill. Most of the larger predators were too distracted to pay him any mind, and the few that did were far enough away that it either mattered little to them, or it wasn't worth making a fool of themselves trying to catch the much faster Tyrannosaur. Crusher noted one particularly large male Rex near the kill, and was careful not to catch its attention as he moved towards the inside of one of the hind legs, his sharp fangs tearing into the tough hide and reaching the flesh below, struggling a bit as he tore loose a thick strip of muscle, letting it fall into his clawed hands as he bit deeply into the wound once more, tearing another large chunk loose, before turning and carrying both the large slabs of flesh back with him to Darkness, knowing the Raptor was likely starving...

"Oh, don't be so negative" hissed Fatalis with a dismissive wave of a clawed hand. "My previous engagement has been taken care of. So now, I'm free to explore...other ventures" he explained, tilting his head slightly so that he was looking directly at the Raptor. "Now, if you don't need help with those Troodon of yours, I'll go ahead and search for entertainment elsewhere"...

The underbrush gave Gothmog plenty of cover from larger predators. It had been a while since he had fed. drool filled his maw, and his small, beady eyes shifted about, looking about the jungle. The young giga simply wandered through the jungle, holding his hunger in check as best as he could, and doing his best to avoid becoming something else's dinner....

Heavy footfalls rung in the jungle, as the large form of Ba'al stomped into a clearing. Finally, the vagrant Tarbosaur had claimed an area as his! At the edge of the jungle, near a few cliffsides where a herd of Hadrosaurs frequented, and a small pond that was deep in the heart of the jungle, the Tarbosaur made himself at home. Now, the massive beast rested. He had made himself a good home, and he was tired...

Sharpclaw arched a brow. "You wish to help? Now?" he hissed. Perhaps, if he played his cards right, he could get his home back soon...

Maloriak heard the Raptor in the trees mention Troodons that were seemingly being problematic and he growled to Sharpclaw:"You're aquaintance's words imply that you have a problem with some Troodons. I could be of some assistance in helping you with them. However, I will want to know a bit more about this particular group, mainly why they are troublinh you."

"It's... a long story," Sharpclaw replied. "Needless to say, these Troodon have rendered my pack and I homeless, and we are in constant danger out in the jungles..."

Maloriak growled to Sharpclaw:"When I was following your scent, I also picked up that of a Compy's, which yours seemed to be headed towards. Given this and what you have told me, it's clear that you and your pack are also having a difficult time feeding yourselves. I might be able to help you with the food problem as well."

Djinn began to bite and tear at Mars's exposed stomach. The former Stokesosaurus pack leader's eyes began to barely open and close, and he was breathing much more slowly. Mars was dying. Djinn decided to finish his suffering brother off by destroying his spinal cord. Even if he didn't, he wouldn't live to see tomorrow. The Stokesosaurus wrapped his jaws around the back of the neck and began to crush with a vice-like grip. Thinking that he would just bring him back to his new home, Djinn began to drag Mars along, intending on bringing a new meal to Fish and Nyx...

Shade could smell blood. She began to walk towards the new and somewhat fresh scent, sniffing as she went. The Carcha would now rest here for the rest of the day, and hopefully she could find some food...

On her walk back, Fish heard stomping sounds from her left. Turning her head to the sound's general direction, she noticed the unmistakable snow white skin of Nyx coming through the trees. She didn't stop walking, but began to walk noticeably slower so Nyx could catch up when he got through the trees. "Hey, how's it been going?" Nyx said, as soon as he broke through the trees and caught up with Fish. "Fine, fine. He left to go get revenge on his brother, I told him to call if he needed help." Fish explained. "Well, I hope that he doesn't. I don't want him to get into something that he cant handle." Nyx said, shaking his head slightly. "Hey, Fish, you wouldn't mind if you scratched the top of my neck would you? I have an itch there." Nyx complained, and asked. Fish chuckled, and complied. However, she needed to ask one question about it. "Why don't you just use an ankylosaurus? You cant eat 'em, so use them for something else."
"The government!" Willow started to rant again. "They stole our water and now they're stealing our souls! Lightbulbs are bri- K IS FOR POTASSIUM! Get your umbrellas, folks, it's gonna be a rainy day!" Okay, maybe she'd completely lost it..." -Me roleplaying on a different site.

Fatalis eyed Sharpclaw's acquaintance with a raised scaly brow. It's way of speaking was alien to him. Despite his roaming nature, this was the first time he had ever encountered someone who spoke like that. "Let's cut to the chase; Where, what and why. As brief as possible. I'd rather not have to wait till the sun goes down to get anywhere" hissed the black and grey Raptor...

Darkness was practically drooling by the time Crusher returned. "Swift and painless. A rarity these days," he growled before digging into the meat he was given.
