"Like any other creature of flesh and blood. By unnatural means, I can be killed. But left alone, I would never die. It is not unusual to have Hueilin over 50,000 years old. The oldest I remember hearing of was several hundred thousand years old. and that's just counting the ones I had access to information about. The Hueilin Elders undoubtedly know about ones far older than that. Hence my amusement when 'Greshlynk' said we were several thousand years old. We are far older than that. despite being immortal, fighting over leadership means many of our kind have their lives cut short" he rumbled as he walked towards the Arcane Arts isle...

"A necessary evil, I suppose," Tetto'eko replied, his attention more focused on the tome for now, looking for information about the former king that had been killed, if he was in the book at all...

"Innocent?" Vix asked, arching a brow, tilting her head as one corner of her mouth curled up, completing a knowing look shot at Andruil.

"Am i not?" asked Andruil with a light smirk...

Elements & The Arcane Arts by Verruckt Stauphman was the first book to catch Septimus' eye. it was a dark green book, it's spine decorated with silver clasps. as Septimus pulled the book out, it was revealed that the cover was decorated with a dragon head, surrounded by a silver ring, strange runes imprinted into the ring's surface. the book had an oddly cold feel, and Septimus could feel some kind of power locked within. the fact it was located here rather than locked away made him think that perhaps this power wasn't normal. it wasn't normal magic within this book. deciding to take it, he continued looking at the books for another source of information...

"You just admitted you ran around stealing people's undergarments when you were a child," Vix deadpanned.

The auburn-haired woman resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "Not the point. My point is, you're hardly more innocent now than you were then."

"Well at least i'm pleasant enough to give ample warning before i do anything" responded Andruil...

'Oh, so you count flirting with that beetle-creature and Vix as innocent?' Arsenic teased.

"Flirting with an insect? ridiculous. That was just a distraction so they didn't realise we were having a three way conversation in our heads. As for Vix.....can you honestly blame me?" answered Andruil with a sly grin...

"I rest my case," Vix said calmly, tucking her hair behind one pointed ear. She was surprised when Arsenic said, 'No, I can't. She's more like a sister to me, however, than a potential lover.'

"Ah. More for me then" responded Andruil, his grin getting wider, having a somewhat wolfish look to it...

Vix drew back her hand and gave the back of Andruil's head a solid smack. Not hard enough to actually hurt, but certainly hard enough to sting a bit. "I'm still here, you know," she said, as Arsenic let out a chuckle.

"Is that not the point?" asked Andruil as he looked over his shoulder at Vix. "Come to think of it, do it again. that fixed an itch there that was driving me crazy" he added with a smirk...

Vix obliged, hitting harder this time. "I feel better now," she announced, and began picking at the dirt and blood under her fingernails. Come to think of it...how'd they get so dirty? After I got angry yesterday....it's all a blur... she thought, a slight frown creasing her brow.

"Ow" said Andruil when Vix struck. "I think you knocked something loose that time" he added...

'You shouldn't have tempted her,' Arsenic said, still chuckling.

"I regret nothing" responded Andruil with a blank expression. "Tis a sweet pain.....and much better than an itch" he continued. "Also saved me the trouble of scratching it myself" he added with a smirk...
