Trajan watched as the messanger left, before heading back out to the balcony and looking off into the distance. In the few years he had to rule Germania, there had been few major troubles... but now... with this new threat across the horizon...

The two guards continued to talk with Guame, until they noticed the messanger exit the palace. The guards turned to face the Gryphon Riders. "You two may now deliver your message to Emperor Trajan..." Both said at once...

Piercing red eyes met the striking golden orbs of a creature high up in the trees. The sunlight streaming through the breaks in the tree tops hit its eyes just right, making them seem to glow among the shadows, which caught Desrium's attention. He kept eye contact with the animal, his own eyes beginning to flash as he gained insight on the hawk-like avian.

The gryphon riders do a quick bow. "Thank you, kind men of Germania. You shall not be disappointed." The two gryphon riders head in to deliver their scroll to Trajan....

The two guards nodded in return, before noticing that Guame wasn't around. The two guards looked around, desperately trying to find him, unaware that he had snuck into the castle behind their backs...

The gryphon riders enter the castle. The lead one looks about before shouting, "Lord Trajan- we have come to give you something!"

Trajan was still gazing out from the balcony when he heard the messangers call for him. He sighed, before he headed toward the stairs to meet them...

Meanwhile, Guame watched the two Draxon Gryphon Riders from the shadows. The armadillo couldn't sense any evil intentions from them, but he could pick up a very faint scent, one he never smelled before, but that was somewhat... similar... That scent... why does it seem familiar, yet I've never smelt it before? the armadillo thought to himself as he continued to watch...

The two gryphon riders bow out of respect, waiting for Trajan to tell them to rise....

As he left the stairs, Trajan spotted the two messangers bowing to him. "Rise, you two, and tell me what message you have for me..." Trajan ordered. He had already gotten one message today from a country, now another? This was to prove to be quite the intresting day...

Trajan began to read the letter, one eye slightly twitching in shock. A letter from the King of Draxon? He had just read a letter that had told that an archdemon was controllnig Draxon and taking over Aster.... but now, here was a letter from the demonic-controlled country itself? Trajan already knew how he was going to respond to this one, but he went on ahead and read it, just to see what this was about...

Guame watched Trajan's face very carefully from the shadows. TO most people, they wouldn't be able to make out anything out of the usual from how Trajan looked, but to Guame, Trajan was nothing more than an open book. Seems like the guy's reading something he doesn't quite like... Guame thought to himself. He knew trajan better than almost anyone else, and he could easilly tell that he seemed... upset about something...

The letter read as such:

"Fellow king from Germania,

I, Draco, have an offer to bring to your interests. It wish for you to aid me in my quest to conquer Aster. All I need is for you to have your armeis aid mine, as we push into the forests and take what we humans rightfully deserve. You can have as much power as you want- all the wealth and spoils of war, along with any land that we take- half of it is rightfully yours. Your aid will be greatly appreciated if you so choose. If not... let us not worry of such things right now. I shall have my messengers inform me of your decision.

Sincerely, Draco"

Trajan finished reading the letter, before handing it back to the messangers. "I will write your king a response right now. Please wait for me to handyou the return letter..." Trajan told them, before he headed off back up the stairs to his room. He was now completely certain of how he was going to respond to Draco's letter. Trajan was an emperor of peace, not of war and land gain...

The gryphon riders nod solemnly, before one whispers to the other, "Why's he look so scared?" The other whsipers back, "I don't know... I have my doubts about how well this shall work out."

Arsenic gave a snort. 'If you insist, we can make good on the challenge after we get this done,' he said, a smirk twitching at the corner of his mouth.

Andruil smirked. "As you like, Arsenic" he responded, leaping onto Furax, noticing the stallion seemed restless, uncomfortable. Andruil checked his sword almost instinctively, noting a dull glow in the patterns. "Excellent. absolutely excellent....just when I thought we were finally clear" he said, his tone a blend of sarcasm, irritation and mock amusement. in a branch overhead, Shiryaz continued to watch the intruder, piercing gaze never wavering...

Meanwhile, the messenger was already leaving the gates of the Germanian capital of Tristan, making his way back to the Kingdom with news of Germania's decision...

A snow white seal propelled herself through the water and waves not really having a destination. Riva's seal body was lithe, strong, and beautiful. Dancing in the tides was one of her favorite activities. But her fun would have to wait, Einar swam up to her and hovered there. Riva shook her head and sped off, Einar following fast on her. Einar was her mate-to-be and Riva was none too happy about it. Get off me, Einar! she called with her mind. Einar was stunned into stillness and Riva took that oppurtunity to speed as far away from him as possible.

Trajan entered into his room, before sitting down at the desk. He pulled out another sheet of paper, before beginning to write his response letter to Draco. He needed to make some whort of escuse... a reason as to why he'd decline this offer... He stopped writing, befor puttin ghis head in his hands. He needed to think, and think hard...

Arsenic was torn between rolling his eyes and hitting his head off the nearest tree. 'Just goes to show - nowhere is completely safe,' he muttered, his mind already reaching out to find out what or who would be running in on them now.

All at once, voices permeated Arsenic's head, a collaboration of thoughts and emotions of what seemed to be men and women that strained his connection. The voices melded together, becoming an incomprehensible muttering in every recess of his mind. "Why would you need such a thing!?" The piercing cry of a distraught woman seemed to cast off the other voices, allowing for sweet silence- if only for a fraction of a second, for after the voices returned, an accursed plight that would continue as long as the elf persisted...

All the while, Desrium was unaware of what was going on. He was, however, too aware of the hunger pain he felt. As much as he'd like to admire the statuesque bird in the trees, he couldnt ignore his need to eat. With every hunger pang, his crimson eyes flared up, wisping trails of light drifting from his gaze...

Uriel stood up suddenly, head tilted upward slightly as he scented the air, already identifying the strange scent approaching. The dragon whirled around, teeth barred slightly, to face the direction the newcomer was coming from.
