Eventually, Aircrest shakily pried himself from the branch, shakily standing up. His trembling legs felt as if they would fail underneath him at any moment, so he let himself drop back to the limb, staring wide eyed at the jungle floor. Just what the hell did he see?! Images of the slaughter still lingered in his mind and the pained calls of the two raptors rung in his ears. What kind of raptors were those creatures? They were certainly not Velociraptors like himself, nor were they like the elder raptor. He thought about heading back to the lab, to ask the old raptor about what he had seen, but decided against it. He wouldn't run back to the elder to pester him with his questions. "They're just another type of raptor on the island...raptors that you will avoid" He thought, calming himself. The green raptor attempted to lift himself from the branch again, but his shaky legs wouldn't permit him to leave.

The rex had taken and ran off away with the carcass,Razorjaw was furious!

That is,until he noticed a shadow looming over him,it seemed to block out the afternoon sun,it was an Allosaurus

Razorjaw was almost paralyzed with fear,he felt the hot breath of the allosaurus on his neck and let instinct take over

Before the allosaurus could grab him in it's jaws Razorjaw was bolting in the direction the rex had went realizing that he(Crusher) was the one the allosaur had came for and more likely to target him given the choice,he ran at full speed the allosaurus not far behind.......

The tug-o-war match continued, as both predators kept on yanking on the flesh of meat. Finally, the meat could hold up no longer, and tore in half, causing both the Rex and the Suchomimus to stumble back. "I hope your satisfied with that, Blackside... Now why don't you act more mature for your age?" Monozu growled as he swallowed his bit of meat. THis caused Blackside to stop, and think. For her, being with Blackside had been quite the help these three years... and it had been the time of her life. Yes, Monozu had been trying to make her more "Mature" these past three years, but only now were these askings starting to get annoying...

Sand Claw looked from one side of the beach to the other he wasn't happy at all. Growling, Sand Claw kept looking from side to side, suddenly Sand Claw spots something. Sand Claw focused and discovered it was one of his stashed Dyrosaurus kills, relieved to have something to do Sand Claw stood and slowly limped over. Sand Claw lifted the half eaten dyro in his mouth and limped back. Sand Claw started nawing on the dryo feeling content in chewing something tasty...

"What if it doesn't hatch?"

The voice was fretful and worried-sounding, a female Allosaur small for her age its owner. She was leaning anxiously over one of three nests, looking at a single creamy-white egg. She nudged it gently with her muzzle before turning to look at her mate, who was allowing a tiny black and pale gray hatchling to scamper over his head and neck. The hatchling was a male, named Cirrus. He had been born just a few days before, struggling out of his own eggshell as a squeaking, wet, hungry little thing. "he's a fighter," his father had chuckled, crouching to look at his newborn son with one warm amber eye.

Now the father, a black male with pale gray tigerstripes by the name of Xanthe, growled patiently, "It will hatch when the time is right, Savarna."

Savarna looked back at the egg. "But what if it doesn't?" This was only her second brood, and of her first clutch of three eggs, only two had hatched. It had been agony, realizing that the little life inside the shell had already been snuffed out.

"Then we give our attention to our little fighter," Xanthe replied, as Cirrus gave a squeaky growl and lunged at a bug that zipped by his head. He overbalanced and tumbled head over tail over Xanthe's nose with an indignant squeak as he landed with a thump on the ground. His father chuckled again, giving Cirrus a gentle nudge to get him back on his feet.

Finally pulling himself together, Aircrest rose up from the branch, his breathing levelled. With his composure regained, the green raptor tore through the tree tops at a maddened pace. He sped along the tear in the Earth from the winding branches, not sure as to where he was headed or what he was looking for. All he knew was that he wanted to be away from the blood stained site; not only because of what he had seen, but the scent was possibly luring other predators to it. The lives of the two raptors were over and Aircrest had the misfortune of witnessing their ends, but he couldnt do anything but make sure he didnt follow them in death...

Crusher swiftly bolted back toward the treeline, the Allosaur hot on his and the Daspletosaur's tails, infuriated that they had run off with part of it's kill, the rattling snarl coming from the beast only cutting off when it bit, jaws closing to one side of the Daspletosaur's tail, the large but light predator easily keeping up with them...and gaining...

A young, dark blue Allosaur stared at the two adults a distance away, green eyes gazing curiously, trying to figure out what was going on. a buzzing sound soon drew his attention away from them however, as a dragonfly flitted overhead, landing on a long leafy branch of a nearby sapling. the hatchling ducked down lowly, the navy blue form distorted by light blue-grey tigerstripes, large green orbs staring at the insect excitedly, as he stalked forward, wobbling on his legs awkwardly, trying to sneak up on the dragonfly perched on the branch...

snap.

that was all that was heard as the youngster sprang from his place, colliding with the thin branch and snapping it, jaws closed around something as he hit the ground, tumbling to a halt with a surprised squeak, feet in the air, as well as a chunk of the branch, the dragonfly flitting past overhead tauntingly, earning an annoyed groan from the hatchling as he rolled to his feet, spat out the chunk of leaf in his mouth and shaking his head, walking back to the middle of his mother's nest...

Soon, the Tarbosaur had finished his well earned kill. Licking his chops clean of residue, and to prevent them from becomnig weak and unusable, he takes in a sniff of air, making sure he is alone. Comoforted by the lack of scents around the area, he grumbles low before lying down to get some rest.....

Gothmog, unable to pinpoint the scent of the raptor anymore, soon gives up and heads off into the distance, hopnig he doesn't encounter anything else in his travels....

Razorjaw was sure he was going to die

He had caught up with Crusher and ran as fast as his legs could take him but still the allosaurus pursued and almost bit into Razorjaw's tail this forced him to go even faster in an effort to widen the gap between him and the allosaur

How can a creature so large be so fast? he thought

Sand Claw yawned finishing his snack, without something to do again. What am I going to do? he thought as he began to look around again. As Sand Claw he could hear a disturbance in the forest. It was the rythmic beating of large feet hitting the ground, as Sand Claw listened he could hear smaller foot falls aswell. Sand Claw recognized the sound of the larger foot falls it was an Allosaurus. After recognizing this Sand Claw shivered but didn't move, It was obviously chasing prey no need to change course or anything...

Blackside simply shrugged, before digging back into the dead Therizinosaurus. Monozu sighed. If he could, he would have face-palmed by now. Seriously, Blackside's behavior was getting to the point of being unacceptable by any means of the word... oh well... he'd teach her how to behave properly... starting very soon...

Savarna allowed Cirrus to climb onto her head and lowered him back into the nest. Xanthe let out a low groan as he got to his feet, stiff joints cracking. "It's almost time for the Hunt," he growled. The young adult members of the pack looked up eagerly at this. When he felt they were old enough, Xanthe usually took all of the younger pack members out to earn their places in the pack. They had to prove themselves in a hunting mission; the goal was to bring down a sauropod without any help from their leader. They were to scent, track, and stalk the herd themselves. If they were a successful team and brought down a meal big enough to feed the pack, Xanthe rewarded them with being the first to eat. If they failed, another hunting party would go out, and they would wait to eat as they would any other day.

Xanthe ran a thoughtful eye over the young adults. One day, he'd be leading his offspring out on a hunt like this, just as he had done once before. But now, he needed to focus. He nodded to Savarna and approached the excited younger Allosaurs. "You are the future of this pack," he began, as he had at the start of every Hunt since he became leader several years before. "And as such, it is time for you to participate in the Hunt. I will take you out to the game trail, where you will all do your best to find and bring down a sauropod. Remember, not one of you can kill one of them on your own. The objective here is to work together. Trust each other, because if you each try to work alone, you WILL get hurt." He made eye contact with each of them. "Once you have made your kill, send one of your packmates back to tell us." He looked back at Savarna. "Remember, we have some females in the pack who have volunteered to stay behind, or simply cannot leave, so there must be some left over to carry back." When his mate smiled at him, he nodded again and growled, "Alright. It's time. Come." The dominant male of the pack led the young adults out with smooth, easy strides, heading for a nearby game trail where sauropods passed through now and again.

just as it seemed Crusher and the Daspletosaur would be overrun and killed, the Allosaur broke off, roaring one more time, before going back the way they had come, to the kill...

Crusher didn't slow down however. he continued his run until he entered the treeline, slowing to a walk, dropping the leg in front of him and pinning it with a foot, panting heavily as he struggled for breath, exhausted...

It seemed like the end but just then the allosaur stopped in it's chase and going back the way it had came

The rex didn't stop running though,he kept up his pace until he reached the tree line, dropping the tenontosaurus leg and started panting in exhaustion

Razorjaw stopped a few feet away, exhausted almost to collapse

A sudden cracking and squeaking from the nest beside her made Savarna freeze. She turned, hoping she wouldn't see an egg thief making a move while her back was turned fro a moment. Instead, to her delight, she saw the egg rocking slightly from side to side, the persistent squeaking noises getting louder. Cirrus nudged the egg and leaped back in surprise when a tiny clawed hand punched a chip out of the shell. Amber eyes wary, Cirrus retreated towards his mother, making questioning noises. "It's all right, Cirrus," Savarna growled soothingly, watching as the little hatchling fought its way into the world. A short wait later, punctuated by the cracks, squeaks and growls the newborn was making, and Savarna was looking down at a tiny copy of Xanthe. The only differences were the hatchling's eyes were the same blue as her mother's, and her stripes perfectly matched the hue of the white-striped female's hide. The alpha female leaned down to greet her daughter for the first time. "Hello, little one," she murmured. "Welcome to the pack, my daughter."

the squeaking and rustling gained more than the attention of the parents, the small head of a navy blue Allosaur hatchling poking out of a nearby nest, green eyes wide with curiosity, the youngster climbing over the edge of the mound, tumbling down the side of it head-over-tail, finally halting on his stomach. Blade scrambled to his small, wobbly feet, scampering across to the nest and trying to climb up the side, poking his head over the brim and down at the hatchling as it broke free of the nest, awestruck at the sight...

Crusher meanwhile, had regained his breath, turning to eye the Daspletosaur, curious about it's presence. "Why are you following me?" he growled, facing it head on in case it proved hostile...

Sand Claw heard the Allosaur slowly trudge back from where it came from. The ceratosaur shivered at the thought of being chased by one again...

Surprisingly enough, Aircrest's mad dash through the trees brought him to a large rock slope, the incline a dark brown in color. Patches of moss and small ferns sprouted up from cracks in the surface, but for the most part the rocky ground was clear of vegetation, allowing the raptor clear sight of the sky. He looked for the sun's position in the sky and once he found it, he judged the time to be very late in the afternoon. Aircrest looked back down to survey the rocky slope. The top of it seemed flat, like a plateau of sorts. He decided to take a rest up there, to clear his mind and to think about the day he had, so he started to walk up the incline. Once he got up to the top however, he found that he hadn't come across a plateau, but a simple rise in the land. From where he stood, the land steadily rose into a hilly region of the jungle which eventually transitioned into mountains farther down, their bases obscured by the jungle and their peaks standing out against the sky. The raptor sighed and made his way over to the roots of a tree, laying down among them. Small bushes hid his slender form, allowing him rest and peace for the time being.

Eradicus dropped down into the small pit of sand he always laid at, falling asleep a few moments later as waves crashed against the shoreline so close to his home.

Valu hadn't moved off the branch yet, the bird that had came there flying off, the raptor now monitoring the ground, looking for the raptor that had lived there...

Darkness remained on his perch, bored out of his mind, wondering what was keeping Crusher so busy. Then again, the raptor thought, the young Rex probably got hungry on his way back from hunting and was now stuck in an endless cycle. The thought amused him, but he remained worried about his childhood friend. This thoughts wandered back to the incident before, with the lone female and the sudden influx of predators in the area. He hoped she was ok, considering how helpful she was to him. He didn't like the idea of her perishing due to his intrusion...
