Desrium's metallic figure was situated just before the glimmering pool, a shining rim outlining his dark statuesque form as he sat. His knees were slightly bent and his hands rested on them, his arms bracing against the sides of his legs. Without motion and without a sound, the Blood Omen's ruby sights rested on the silver and black dragon, the soft red haze of light around his eyes contrasting with both the light of the water and the darkness of the cave.

Septimus' eyes locked on the armoured being as he chuckled. "Have you been sitting there the whole time I was sleeping?" growled the Dragon as he stretched, his long tail unfurling and swaying gently behind him as the Dragon spread and flexed his wings, the bright luminescent patterns on the bottom lighting up the cave floor below them for a brief few moments before he furled them once more, the soft glow of the patterns on the dorsal side of the wings appearing in streaks on the furled membranes. His eyes shifted down to the dead bird wyvern at his feet, the Dragon eyeing the creature curiously for a moment before reverting his focus to the Blood Omen...

"Not the whole time" Desrium replied, the body of the bird wyvern being enough to explain what the armored being meant...

Septimus smiled gratefully, lowering his head towards the kill, a sudden flash of blue fire streaming from his jaws, igniting the bird wyvern for all of 10 seconds, before extinguishing itself, the Dragon eating the animal in two swift gulps, the crunch of bone audible as the Dragon made short work of his meal, looking up at Desrium once he had finished. "Where's our host?" growled Septimus curiously as a shimmering tongue ran across his lips, wiping off what little was left of the meal...

The Blood Omen turned his gaze from Septimus to the cave entrance, the light of the outside broken by the jagged stalagmites and rock columns. His eyes flashed once before trails of crimson dispersed in the darkness, Desrium answering his friend's question without words. "His name is Jiier" he said.

The Dragon raised a brow at the name. "Interesting" he rumbled. "I believe it's time we repaid our benefactor for his hospitality" rumbled Septimus as he began to walk towards the entrance, though stopping as he reached the glowing pool. lowering his head for a drink, he took note of the angular shape of whatever the light source was. Perhaps, if Jiier was friendly enough, he would ask for permission to investigate. With that, he straightened, before moving towards the meditating primate, careful not to disturb him as he approached, stepping round stalagmites and stone pillar, his movements almost cat like in nature...

"You have awoken," the simian said as the dragon approached, unmoving. "I trust your sleep was restful?

"Indeed. And that is something I have you to thank for, friend" rumbled Septimus calmly as he settled at the primate's side, looking out at the dense green that made up the walls of the ravine, his pupils shrinking to slits to take in the light, his shimmering cyan iris glowing brightly, further emphasised by the black sclera which posed as a backdrop for the cyan orbs. "I promised you compensation for your hospitality, Jiier. I am not one to go back on my word. So tell me, what is it you would have in exchange for the discomfort I've caused you?"...

"All I ask for is respect," Jiier replied calmly, his eyes still closed. "And for you to remember what happened here, the next time you go looking for shelter."

Desrium was about to stand when he heard a low frequency rumble from within the bowels of the cavern, the surface of the pool disturbed slightly. In the sound's passing, the water calmed with only ripples running across it to show the change. The armored being heard the sound many times over the hours. It seemed the ground itself had a qualm that needed sorting...

"In a world as restless as ours, shelter is hard to come by. I do my best to avoid places that belong to others, but sometimes...sometimes, like earlier today, my luck runs out, and I end up stranded in a place I otherwise would not stay. Had I been able to, I would have left immediately. But at that point, I literally was incapable of flying for sheer exhaustion" rumbled Septimus lowly, a somewhat apologetic tone in his voice as he spoke. "My kind are immortal. Our memories share that trait. You needn't worry about me forgetting anything. Of that, I can assure you" he added half-jokingly...

Jiier opened his eyes as the dragon spoke, nodding approvingly in response as he finished. "Then you are welcome to stay as long as you like."

Septimus smiled as he nodded. "Your kindness is much appreciated, friend" he rumbled as he sat beside the primate, his mind occupied by the events of the previous day...

Jiier returned to his meditation, his calm, collected nature a stark contrast with that of the being the two had encountered only a few hours ago.

"Would there be a problem in Desrium and myself investigating the pool in the back of the cave?" rumbled Septimus as he rose to his feet after several minutes of peace after reflecting on the past two days. The Dragon's mind was occupied by the source of the light in the pool's depths; his inquisitive nature led him to wonder about it...

Deciding not to interrupt the primate's meditation any further, the Dragon proceeded to the back of the cave. winding his way round the natural obstacles that littered the cave floor, he soon reached the pool, and the waiting Desrium. "Care to do the honours of jumping in first?" he rumbled...

Morning in Germania saw Trajan waking up in the Sanctuary, the Emperor still in his usual attire that he had hurringly put on the previous night. He had slept here all night, thinknig that no evil demon or pressence would be able to enter into such a holy place. Wherever he was right or not quickly faded from his mind, for as he was getting up and leaving, several knocks rang out from the door. At first, he tensed up, thinknig i twas whatever had frightened that Archdemon away, or maybe even the Arch demon himself, but he let out an inward sigh as the door opened up and several church officials entered in, none of them appearing too surprised at seeing the Emperor already in the church...

High up on the top of the castle, Guame was fast asleep, pearched on his staff. After Djinn had left, he and the shapeshifter had parted ways, with Guame heading off to where he was now. The rest he had gotten would definitely be necessary, considering this new threat that lay before him. The armadillo, opening up his eyes, sighed. Great. Now there was something else pore pressing than Akuro to deal with... If Akuro were to know of this and take action, things would only get worse.

Unfortunately for Guame, they were about to.

Desrium looked to Septimus and nodded. He stood up thereafter and turned to face the glowing water. "I do not see any crabs" he said before stepping off of the edge, dropping beneath the bright surface quickly with only a small wave marking where he had gone under...

Septimus rumbled in amusement at Desrium's comment, before crouching down and slipping into the pool after the armoured being, the fins across the Dragon's body splaying widely as he entered the cool water, a thin, glass-like membrane sweeping over his eyes as he glanced around, eager to see what secrets this place held...
