Desrium's sights raised. "Indeed it is. My friend has fears about that. He hasn't said anything but I noticed his efforts to bring me back from that state" he said with his unchanging tone.

The Dragon descended beneath the surface of the water once more, his lithe, lean form curving and slanting and bending as he rippled his tail, powering himself downwards, heading towards the magically lit caverns below. The Dragon used the excess energy that flowed through him like a sensor, expending a bit of it in the form of light as he cast the aura around him through his patterns, allowing the excess to flow as the followed where the Mana seemed to flow into him more strongly, knowing that would lead him to the source. as he reached the end of the first tunnel in the rock, the massive underwater cave sprawled out before him, various different tunnels undoubtedly filling the walls all around him. Descending towards the tunnel he had last taken, he stopped, smirking as he felt the flow of Mana around him change, coming instead from a different tunnel to the one he had last entered, the glimmering bronze-toned vines twinkling brightly in response to the increased glow of Septimus' runic patterns, the Exile proceeding into this new cave, noting the wall was lined with gems of many different colours, all glowing brightly against the black stone around them, like an entire cosmos plastered against the black backdrop of space. red, blues, greens, yellows and endless shades in between decorated the stony surface, just as Septimus spotted something swimming out of a small crack in the stone, the creature hard to identify aside from the veil of light surrounding and obscuring it's form. Not willing to lose this interesting turn of events, the Dragon's eyes shimmered brightly, the creature halting in place before being pulled back, floating before the Dragon's eyes as he examined it. It was similar to a Maldevian slug....but but since when did they have fins and tails like goldfish? Then again...in his youth he had never gone as close to the mana well as most of the others...perhaps the closer one got...the stranger the lifeforms were?

Throughout the city of Tristan, and out into the rest of Germania, news of what had happened last night, and of Dione's execution date being changed went out by the dispatching of the messangers, this time sent by the higher-ups in the church. The news spread like wildfire, and those military forces that were stationed in other cities were ordered to fall back to Tristan to protect the city. This included the Dragon Riders that had been out the previous night. The capital couldn't handle such a distaster like last night again... Those other cities were left to themselves to defend, an order than the bishops of the main church could care less about. For them, they mattered only for their own necks...

Akuro raised up a non-existant eyebrow. "Well, what do you have to tell me?"

Mara simply grinned, before she began to wisper into his ear everything that she had heard last night, while disguised as Djinn. As she told him about the armored being, of Tzeentch, and of Freyr-Lunge, the Kitsune's face formed a sinister smile. yesss... he could make good use of this. If he could find this armored being and take control of it, then all of Aster would fall under his control in no time. Few mortals would dare try to take him on. He would be near invincible!

"I see." the Kitsune replied, before his ears picked up the sound of someone approaching... He'd get done what he wanted... in due time... his plans could wait a few hundred years if need be...

Sharavuras pressed Thundarong hard. Time was of the utmost importance. Hordes of soldiers were to be gathered as soon as physically possible. The archdemon Gothmog III warned Burzum about was no doubt attempting to gather his own troops to do exactly what they planned on doing. No one in the cult would put up with that, not in the slightest. Aster was theirs for the taking, and no being, not even an archdemon, would prevent this goal from reaching fruition. Unfortunately, Sharavuras realized that with the recruition of the Chaos Dwarves, they had very few options left for troops. They COULD go to the crypts up north or White Dunes to the east and recruit the undead, but undead were.... difficult to manage, even with a wraith in command. They could recruit the goblins of the great forest, but they had a deep seeded hatred of outside factions and would be difficult to convince without killing most of them, which would be counter productive at best. In addition, there were also the lizardmen of Lustria, but he wouldn't go in there even if he had an army to back him up. Though he did have a few options: sellswords, while expensive, would be useful to fill in the rank and file, plus wild beasts would make good shock troops. He decided to leave beast capturing to the Stalkers, since they did much better on the hunt anyways. So that left him with the sellswords to deal with....

Burzum stomped into Akuro's chambers, before he spoke aloud,

"I need to speak with the two of you. This is.... extremely important."

Burzum seemed a bit frightened, very much unlike how he acted when both Akuro and mara first met him.

Both Mara and Akuro shifted their attention to the worried Burzum, Mara surprised to see him look afraid, especially considering how he was yesterday. Akuro, on the other hand, didn't seem all that surprised, as his facial expression didn't change at all.

"What is it that you want to speak with us about?" Mara spoke up before Akuro could ask, prompting an glare in her direction from the demonic fox. Whatever it was that had Burzum so worried, probably had to deal with them as well...

Burzum turned to the diminutive underling of Lord Akuro.

"As I am sure you both know, there is an Archdemon here in Aster. But this is not the only thing that has infiltrated this world. I felt a... presence.... assault my mind. One I cannot fully explain, but considering Sharavuras felt it, I am pretty sure you felt it as well. Whatever caused that must be extremely powerful. We need to carry out our plans, and fast. Akuro, I need you to help the Stalkers capture a few beasts known as Krayts.... from what I've heard, they lurk in the forest, so this will be a land mission. I'll send some Olog-hai to assist you, for the Stalkers will not use their fell beasts this time. Mara, I need you to go with some of my orcs into the far south of the Wastelands and find a local tribe of creatures called brutes. We need all the muscle we can afford. Understand me?"

Burzum seemed unsympathetic, but he really was getting fearful of this the more he thought about it...

Desrium was silent for a while as he fumbled with the strange emotions he was experiencing. He didn't understand the new feelings but sat stone stiff and quiet, trying to decipher them. They were linked to Septimus; but in a way that was beyond the desire for companionship or basic defensive instinct, as he experienced when his sword was taken. No, there was another outward attachment that the Blood Omen has formed without realizing in the few days he had been on Aster. "I do not want him to worry anymore" he stated...

Aviva paused for a moment, narrowing her green eyes at her injured limb. "If our species wielded magic," she growled softly to Zar, "this wouldn't have happened." "You don't know that," he replied just as quietly, nudging her on. "Save your strength; you need it to heal."

Vix took her hand away from her wound, wincing as the improvised bandage stuck to her hand and pulled at the barely-formed scabs. She grimaced, studying the strip of cloth wrapped around ugly, ragged gash. Blood still oozed from it sluggishly, as evidenced by bright red spots among the dry brown blots, even though she'd been applying pressure to it since the wound had been "bandaged". "Deeper than I thought," she muttered under her breath, so quietly that even if someone did catch her voice, they wouldn't be able to tell if she'd actually said something or was just muttering curses; not unless they were right on her shoulder, at any rate.

Septimus swam forwards, his body winding and convulsing in a manner similar to a sea-snake as he powered himself forward through the darkness in pursuit of the fish-like creature, his curiosity piqued by it's interesting, flitting behaviour, the creature swimming between the glowing ore deposits around them heading further into the narrow tunnel, small glowing particles beginning to appear as the Dragon descended deeper, like glowing dust floating in the blackness where the only light was from the Dragon's own scales and the clusters of glowing ore on the walls of the tunnel. Before long, the walls seemed to fall away as the Dragon swam into a massive chamber, glancing up, seeing what looked like the surface of the ocean beneath an alien blue sun, embedded into the wall of the cavern. In reality, it was the surface of something else, long tendril-like wisps of light floating lazily through the water, reaching out into the darkness, a trail of the shimmering particles in it's wake as what looked like billions of shooting stars swarmed all around the cavern, whole schools of them swarming through the dark water that seemed, for the most part, no lighter as a result of the unspeakably beautiful lifeforms and natural wonders unravelling before the Dragon. The swirling nature of the glowing formation seemed unreal, everything within it's reach cast in the same strange un-colour that had glared at him for a moment earlier before he was cast back to the pool he had started at. the richness of the light coming from this hole in the rock, how it seemed to radiate light and energy that was both cast in every colour imaginable and yet feeling as though it also showed something else, beyond what any living creature could perceive, shook the Dragon's very way of thought to it's core. The beautiful light source seemed to be framed by rock, and the sheer power being generated by was outmatched only by it's sheer beauty, which in itself left the Dragon speechless. there could be no denying it. This was an exposed piece of the Mana Well. on the rock around the hole through which the Mana Well glistened, Septimus spotted a familiar sight; Maldevian Slugs. the creatures were feeding off something in the rock, and the Dragon noted the swimming, finned creatures flitting towards them, feeding off the same surface the slugs were. The Dragon realised that this surface was a piece of the ore. Vitorite thought the Dragon, realising what it was now that he saw how the slugs reacted to it, remembering the shimmering ore with which his mother's medallion was decorated. It was said to be unheard of anywhere else but around Mana Wells, though from time to time, it could be found in clusters near places where magic was once located heavily. It was a soft kind of crystal, and was known for being cohesive, not breaking apart as would be expected of obsidian or glass under pressure, and was soft by most ores' standards, pliable even in the bare hands of men and elves. It was said to act like a conduit for mana, making it highly valuable in the making of staves, and was rumoured to do everything from granting eternal life to curing the incurable, though little could be said for the truth of these claims. The Hueilin used it in jewellery for it's beauty, and the creation of the unique style of runic art that they used to decorate their scaled forms with. The Dragon seemed to linger in thought for what felt like minutes, remembering the pleasant times of his early years, of the stories the Elders told him, of the tricks and jokes he'd play on his parents and friends...of a more blissful time when nothing mattered but the pleasures of everyday life. the Dragon's reminiscing left him blind to the fact he wasn't alone here...

"...Learn" Desrium replied, thinking back to his previous request for lessons from the ape. While being able to fight without the aid of a weapon was an interesting prospect, the dragon's understanding of magic was a much more practical asset at the time. The Blood Omen recognized his own instability and the need to remedy it, lest he cause Septimus more hardship than that he already experienced.

The mining town of Blackrock was an out of the way settlement in the rich forests of the Valenhad country side, a stone's throw away from a small stream. Gigantic mounds of rock protruded from the leaf littered ground. At the bases of the rocky hills were mines, all being worked at all hours, men chipping away in the depths of the world for the resources they offered. A good 10 minute walk way was the actual town, a simple place crafted from lumber which was in no short supply out in the woods. The largest building there was no taller than two stories. A large well used road cut through the town dead center and deviated to the mines. This allowed caravans to pull up into the town, resupply and load up on ores and the occasional bounty of jewels that would be taken to the main city to be sold. The town was prosperous in this way and the route was extremely profitable for both parties, but the latest trader guiding his horse pulled wagon would find their visit less than satisfactory...

When the cloaked person hopped down from their seat at the front of the cart and headed into the local pub for some well needed rest, they did not expect their cargo to be stirring. Yet underneath a tattered cream colored tarp, things were doing just that, writhing and shifting out of sight. The canvas undulated with the movement of a multitude of objects before suddenly ceasing. The tarp was pulled back by hands hidden by sleeves that were too long. A body, veiled with bland black robes revealed itself. A hood was draped over its head, large and drooping. It concealed a face in shadows. The unknown passenger climbed over chests and containers meant to carry precious metals and coal, assumed its place where the driver once sat and took the reigns...

Desrium stepped around the shape shifter to the specified spot, standing statuesque and looking down at the simian. His arms dangled at his sides, metal fingers hanging freely. His eyes flared and flashed in anticipation with the sun bearing down just behind him, giving his dark armor a sheen and casting a menacing shadow over Jiier...

Desrium obeyed without words, lowering himself to the stone and taking it upon himself to mimic the simian's stance. Despite his metal plating, the armored being found himself able to do just that with ease, sitting with his back somewhat curved, the bottom end of his sheath lifting up from where it was rounded.

Upon hearing from Burzum, Mara's face seemed to pale in color. The forest? If only Burzum had swapped the roles. She would be better going to the fore-

"If our worried about me running into that friend of yours in the forest, then stop worrying now."
Akuro hissed at Mara. " I'll make sure not to run into that dragon while I'm there..." . WIth that, he turned back to Burzum. " We shall do as you wish, Burzum".

"Yes... we will." Mara said, doubt still clouding the back of her mind. Old Smaug wouldn't be happy with a surprise visit, and knowing him...
