"Oh, don't look so surprised, my dear. One does not need to know you to know your story. I would have thought such an experienced 'demon hunter' such as yourself would know this by now. Then again, you never do really hunt demons do you? You prefer to talk to them and ask them nicely to go somewhere else.....after which they eventually become someone else's problem. One can only wonder how the real Demon Hunting organisations would perceive this deception" rumbled Arashi through narrowed eyes. beating his wings powerfully, the Dragon ascended higher into the sky. "Now as much as I enjoy discussing the shortcomings of this pathetic little collection of misfits, I have more important matters to attend to" rumbled the Dragon with a snort, a puff of smoke spilling from his nostrils as he ascended. Enjoy yourself, Discord. I get the feeling these fools will be very amusing added the Dragon psychically to his chaotic comrade...
Four black spikes rose around the Demon's fallen form, white beams of energy shooting inwards from the edges and striking the fallen abomination, it's form lighting up as it morphed, the light intensifying gradually before a blinding flash filled the room, disappearing seconds later. The Vindicator approached the spot, picking up what looked like a large black crystal, glowing with greenish runes. the man swiftly placed it in a small satchel at his side, before turning to his friend, who was already heading for the door. "This place is closing up around us. We have to hurry" said the Archknight as he limped out the doorway and rushed up the stairs as fast as his injured form would allow, the Vindicator close behind, helping him up, the two soon ascending to the top of the unnatural staircase, emerging in the graveyard, the ground quaking around them as the chamber sealed itself, the ground almost returning to it's original state, only some mispositioned grass showing where the entrance had once been. "I....hate....pestilence demons" grumbled the Archknight irritably as he looked back at what remained of their conflict. "Eh. Can't expect everything to go easily. At least it's over now. We can continue hunting down Desrium" said Makkus calmly as he helped his friend out of the graveyard, heading for the hospital...
"To a degree" responded Septimus with a long sigh. "I am no longer an exile, and I am now assigned to find the others of my kind that were driven out. However, Arashi is still out there somewhere. There's no telling where he's gone or what he's up to, but if past experience is anything to go by, he's already working on a way to bend my kind to his will...and after that...who knows" he explained, sighing as he shook his head...
Andruil was quick to head back to the inn, the main hall abuzz with dwarves discussing what had happened earlier, a few snickers coming up whenever the term '*** monster' was mentioned, and the irritated grumbling of the Inn-keeper could still be heard over the activity. A cat could be seen perched on top of one of the large cabinets, obviously terrified of all the random activity during the usual quiet hours, and at the same time, apparently stuck due to the height of the cabinet and the fact the area all around it was occupied by Dwarves, the cat having had some bad experiences with them in the past. Andruil wasted no time lingering, and ascended the stairs to the room, pushing the doorway open. "You two ready to leave?" he asked as he walked in...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
