"I'M a relic?" Tetto hissed. "If I could, I would introduce you to Hexoatl, and then you'll be singing a different tune, my friend!"

"...Once. She and I were both remarkably drunk at the time," Vix said, smirking. She gave an attempt at an innocent shrug, ruining it with the impish look on her face.

"In due time, my reptilian friend. In due time" responded Andruil to the skink, shrugging. when Vix mentioned her...escapades, Andruil's attention was swiftly reclaimed. "Aaah, ever the adventurer I see. I must make sure to be present next time you're...remarkably drunk" said Andruil, his tone half-amused and half-intrigued, a wry smirk on his face...

"An adventurer's curiosity never dies. I'm sure you'll find it an interesting show," the auburn-haired woman said, her smirk widening into a small grin. "Though considering my memory of that night is still....fuzzy, I make no promises that I'll remember much of anything," she added with a laugh.

"That shouldn't be too big a problem. The memories I make with people tend to be especially....unforgettable" responded Andruil with a chuckle...

Mordecai stuck his forked down in disgust. Ugh, this is just awful... he remarked, though he kept the thought only to Tetto'eko, who only shook his head in exasperation, before promptly closing his earholes...

"If you've got a place in mind, lead the way," Jiier responded, figuring their work in Daaven was pretty much done already.

"Perfectly justified, I assure you" responded Andruil with a chuckle...

"Silverlake. It's a desert city North of here. Its people live off the fish living in the lake" growled Septimus as he began to head for the gates, not wanting to startle the residents by taking to the air immediately...

Outside the gryphon stable, a gryphon and hippogriff were tied to the paddock fence, both decked out in their new equipment; Sulrana with a silver accented flight halter and a dark brown leather saddle decorated on both sides with intricate patterns that had been hand-carved into the leather, and Thalion with a secure-looking cargo harness with three extra straps that ran forward past his shoulders and underside to connect to a small round metal breastplate, as well as two sets that wrapped around his wide barrel chest. On his back was attached a large empty satchel, held tight by ropes with metal clips that hooked into some of the harness' many silver rings. It was made to be easily detached or moved back so that if the need arose, room could be made for more packs, or even a rider. The many rings on the sides of the harness were left empty, Henric having assumed the travelers would probably have some of their own packs they would wish to hook on. The gryphonner himself was just coming through the stable's main doors, but appeared to be having some difficulty. He was straining at the rope he was holding, gradually coaxing a reluctant Myrn out of the stable. She was croaking and tossing her head in apparent agitation, digging her black-clawed forefeet into the ground. Henric had to keep constant pressure on her lead rope to get her to slowly step toward the others at the fence. Not even a treat of dried beef could distract her. "Myrn what's got inteh yeh girl? What'r yeh 'fraid of?" Henric spoke to her softly for a few moments, eventually managing to calm her a bit, stroking her neck feathers until she had stopped struggling. Then he slowly completed the short journey over to Sulrana and Thalion, intending to tie Myrn next to them. But before he could quite reach the fence, Myrn abruptly picked up speed, stepping in front of him and making him halt in his tracks, then lowered her ebony head and pressed it to his chest...

Walking after the silver and black dragon and noting the distance from the ocean, Desrium commented "That lake must have a lot of fish." He then increased his pace to that of a jog, his metal feet thudding against the smooth stone path as he pulled up alongside Septimus. The armored being jumped and gripped the Scholar's satchel, climbing over the giant bag and working his way onto his shoulders.

Jiier followed after Septimus silently, still uncomfortable after their less than welcoming entrance.

Nitsunobue growled.

"If wanted you dead, you already would be. But, digress I do. Tell me if you see Half- elf and 2 other elves, please?"

The horned wyvern then backed himself out the gate, eyes locked on the dwarf with the dragon battle engraved on his armor. Anarchy broke into his mind for the first time in a couple of days.

"What are you waiting for? Kill him! You're going to back off from the threats of a creature smaller than your big toe?! Pansy. I thought you were 'Nitsunobue, last of the Horned Wyverns,' not 'Nitsunobue, lord of the pansies'. Show him who's boss!"

The horned wyvern responded to him aloud.

"But, elf friends need them! I can't kill friends of friends, even if they no like me."

"Ah, but your elf friends fear and dislike you as well!" Anarchy hissed in the deep crevices of Nitsunobue's subconcious, "Why do you think they have excluded you from being with the others? Why do you think they ignore you? I've told you once, and I'll tell you again: you don't NEED them! They might need you, but they've never done anything to help you out! Only that lizard man and the little dragon seemed to care! So why should you?"

Nitsunobue yelled aloud, "Do NOT bring elves into this! This about dwarves! Stop trying to convince me- I help elves now!"

To everyone around, it probably looked (as it should) that he was yelling at himself for no apparent reason....

"It will be" said Andruil with a chuckle. "On a more serious note, if you're truly uncomfortable with heights, you could ride with me. One of the steeds we're taking is a large Hippogriff. He'd easily be able to carry us both, plus whatever extra equipment we have" he added, his tone sincere, expression serious. At this point, they were close enough to the stables to see the scene between Myrn and Henric, but Andruil decided to wait till they were closer to speak...

The Dwarves looked at eachother in confusion at the Dragon's ranting, though the word 'kill' did more than a little to put them on edge, the crossbow-dwarves keeping their fingers off the triggers to avoid pelting the Wyvern with bolts accidentally. "the 'elves' headed fer tha Gryphon stables" responded the Captain of the Guard...

"According to a book I read, it's apparently connected to the ocean via underwater caves and currents. Fish use the lake as a breeding ground because of its calm currents closer to shore and in coves along the lake" explained Septimus as he walked, swiftly covering the ground between the inn and the gate, flexing his wings as he neared it, smiling to the guards as he passed and spreading his wings, leaping into the air as he beat his wings powerfully, quickly ascending...

"Underwater caves" Desrium echoed, referring to the many channels and chambers that extended deep below the pool in Jiier's home. If they weren't charged with their current task, he would have proposed exploring the nature of the Silverlake waterways...

Nitsunobue calmed down, giving a quick nod to the dwarven captain.

"Thank you, dwarf. Appreciate it, I do."

With that, the wyvern exited the city, deciding to wait for the elves, rather than get himself into any more trouble...

Once outside the gates, Jiier transformed and took off after Septimus, reminded somewhat painfully of the home he left behind.

"That was a close one. I nearly put a crossbow bolt in its eye" said one of the Crossbow Dwarves in the hallways overlooking the street where the incident had taken place. "The Cap'n would've had yer guts for garters if you had. After he killed the dragon, that is" responded his comrade with a laugh. "Aye. Remember that incident with the cyclops? No sooner had it hammered down the gate of the Western fort with that bloody 'uge club of its than it was gettin' mangled by the Cap'n. Took out its eye, smashed a gaping hole in it's skull, smashed its knees, broke its shoulder, beheaded it and used its head as a foot-stool while he had his supper that night!" responded the first. "The funniest part is he came here from Stormhelm as a bloody jeweller! The bloody 'ell kind o' jewellery teaches you 'ow to maul a cyclops?!"

"So tell me about these other places you went to to spread the message" growled Septimus as he flew off westwards, enjoying the sensation of the cool air against his scales, his cold homeland having forged his kind into a race that preferred the cold. the piercing cry of an eagle could be heard as they approached a small mountain-range, the bird undoubtedly having made one of the cliffs decorating the mountainous terrain its home...

"...That might be best," Vix said, reminded of her nervousness. Horses, she could deal with. But there was a reason she'd never taken Arsenic's offers to let her ride on Aviva's back, despite her questions about what it was like to fly with a dragon.
