Ba'al continued following the scent of the hadrosaur. He began to make out two other scents.... one was a Tyrannosaur like himself... the other, he did not recognize.... but whatever it was, it was a carnivore. "I wodner if the two are fighting... if they are, I can swoop in and steal the kill from the tired victor." Ba'al plots to himself as he steadily grows clsoer.

The thundering footsteps of the monstrous Carcharodontosaurus were jarring to a young Gothmog. He quivered and shook with intense fear, trying to avoid attracting attention to himself. Hopefully, the Carchar would take the heterodontosaur and not sniff him out. If he was discovered, he would have to make a break for it... and gigas are not known for their blazing speed.

Darkness casually strode back away from the stream, the compies paying no attention to him what so ever. After he was out of sight, the dark raptor circled back around, approaching the smaller creatures from the undergrowth, preparing himself for the attack...

When he was low enough, Aircrest launched himself from an outcrop and into a nearby tree, his clawed feet touching the bark on a branch and from there the raptor shot off along the limb. He jumped over to other branches as he started to make his way back to the waterfall, intending to get another drink of water. He was starting to get thirsty again after darting through the trees and hopping down along the rock face.

Eradicus soon broke through the treeline, the carchar revealing itself to be bigger than the giga he seeme dto have lost track of, but not that much larger than the latter. The predator sniffed the air a couple of times, before digging in to the dead herbivore...

Gothmog quivered with fear, restraining the urge to growl at the Carchar. Deciding that he should paly it smart, Gothmog began to slowly back up. Hopefully he wouldn't....

*SNAP!*

....step on a twig. Horror dawning on him, gothmog turns tail and begins to flee...

The carchar slowly raised it's head for a moment when it heard the noise, but soon went back to Gothmog's kill, tearing into it further, crushing bone as it tore into the corpse's stomach. Eradicus seemed to ignore his surroundings at the moment as he eat...

Monozu continued to dig into the dead Edmontosaur, the suchomimus enjoying the taste of the flesh. As Blackside watched the herds go by, her nostrils picked up the scent of a T-rex. She sniffed the air some more. She could tell that it was a male Rex, and it was heading straight toward them. A single eye began to twitch on the Rex's face as she rose onto her feet. "Apparently, this dead Edmontosaurus must have had alot of admirers... for one of them is making its way here right now." Blackside snortred at Monozu, cuasing the Spinosaurid to raise his headout of the dead meal. He too sniffed the air, and sure enough, he too could pick up the scent of the incoming Rex. "This is the second Rex for crying out loud... THey must all be gatheting in this area.." Monozu growled, not exactly all-too happy with the notion of having to give up the kill completely...

Ba'al continues lumbering along, now beginning to lay low. He did not want to be spotted. Even though he was not within sight (or even within earshot), he wanted to approach as stealthily as possible at first....

Gothmog, upon noticing the Carchar did not notice him, stops running, but lays low a bit farther away...

Eradicus paused for a moment, stopping himself from continuing to eat the carcass at the moment to look around, before spotting the giga it had smelled earlier, but didn't seem to let out any threating growl or anything, just looking at it...

Gothmog freezes with raw terror, but notices that it did not strike. "Hello," Gothmog grumbles lowly. He did not want to risk angering this behemoth....

Eradicus let out a seemingly friendly growl in reply to what the giga had said to him, showing that he wasn't any threat at the moment. The carchar himself was more friendly to youngsters of any carnivorous species that he was towards adults, except his family he had been seperated from for so long...

Bladetooth continued his meal, his hunger blocking out much of anything, confident that he could drive off a predator that managed to surprise him...

Gothmog raises his head and looks at the Carchar. "Do you have a name?" the young giga asks, still trying to be meek, due to still feeling discomfort around the goliath....

"Eradicus," the carchar replied, before asking the giga with a growl, "well, what's yours?"

Gothmog grunts in reply, "Umm... Gothmog. My name is Gothmog." The giga pauses befroe adding, "You know, if you wanted to come and make a friendly exchange, your introductory method scared the excrement out of me."

Eradicus soon replies to Gothmog, "sorry, hunger had driven me here. I hadn't planned on a friendly encounter with anything, though..."

Gothmog nods slowly. He growls, "I see, I guess. So, eh, do you have a family?"

The green and black raptor seemed to soar out of the tree top after he kicked off of a branch, landing in a crouch on the on the ground and sliding across the moist dirt. A light gray mist floated about in the air and the sound of crashing water drowned out the noisy jungle. He had made down to the basin. Aircrest stood up and walked forwards, navigating by sound and smell rather than sight to the edge of a river, the run off from the water fall. It was a mighty, fast flowing torrent, maybe even too mighty and fast. Aircrest decided to follow the current until it had slowed down to a more favorable speed. He wasnt going to risk being swept away by the river while trying to get a drink.

With a snarl, Steeltalon burst from her hiding spot, running as fast as she could towards the injured Galli. The healthy adults let out cries of alarm and were soon sprinting away, faster than the raptor's own legs could carry her. But the injured herbivore was left straggling, and it wouldn't take long to catch up to it at this pace. Skidding slightly, Steeltalon followed it as it began to dart left and right, trying to confuse and lose her - or tire her out. Letting out a screech, she stretched her neck forward, jaws open, and clamped down on its tail. She jerked her head towards its lame side, trying to unbalance it. She heard its cry of pain and fear, saw it begin to lose its balance, saw its bad leg begin to give out. She let go just as it fell, hearing the crack of bone breaking beneath the heavy thud. The half-mutant skidded to a halt beside the fallen, moaning herbivore, looking down at it for a moment before suddenly lunging down to bite into its throat. It let out a gurgling shriek that was abruptly cut off as she clenched her jaw muscles. Warm blood flowed from its neck around her lips and gums and she swallowed unconsciously. Delicious. Steeltalon settled into a half-crouch, waiting for her catch's struggles to fade.
