"One of the eight. Did one of the eight wield a hammer?" Desrium inquired...

Elias jumped when he heard vix's voice "yea just enough to get a little energy " he said softly as he smiled at her . He grabbed his side and pulled his hand away reveling a little blood . he thought that an old wound opened up as he wiped the blood onto his pants hoping that hey didn't notice it .
" Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again " - avenged sevenfold dear god

Septimus listened intently to the being as he spoke, watching the depictions of energy swirling before him. "He escaped...and now he is trying again" he concluded as Radamand stopped...

"I know it" said Andruil confidently as he sat beside the fire, watching the flames crackle energetically...

"So it would seem," Radamand responded with a nod, before his gaze shifted to Desrium. "Yes. This shrine, Agnaroth, was built by the followers of Agnarak, the god of the Earth and Forge, as a gift to the people of this continent. The hammer that stands in the courtyard was constructed in his honor," the servant of Soel explained, having guessed why the Blood Omen would ask such a seemingly random question.

"I see. Are there other dedications to the gods on Aster?" Desrium went on to ask, glancing from Radamand to the idol of Soel then back to him...

"There were...once," Radamand sighed, looking around at the empty pedestals, his flame-like pupils dimming slightly.

Desrium followed the giant's gaze and understood the grim implications. "How unfortunate. Perhaps there will be a time when new shrines will be built, however that time will never come if we fail. How are we to fight this...Traitor?" the armored being asked

"Then all is not yet lost. Will they be coming here?" Desrium asked, taking a seat on the stone floor as he did. There would be many questions asked, he knew.

"Yes. Lady Soel spoke of others who knew the dangers we face," Radamand replied, his expression returning to that of focus.

"Are they the ones at the fires, then?" Desrium responded, gazing up at the behemoth of a shape-shifter.

"No. Those are the forces of Vanguard, Daaven, and Zuppoland," Radamand replied, prompting many further questions, though it didn't seem like he would explain further on his own accord. Jiier was tempted to ask, but figured there were more pressing matters.

At the mention of Zuppoland, Desrium fell silent, taking to his thoughts. He had already shown the city-state of the Eternal Conch that he was not the creature they once feared and excluded from their society, but did that mean they accepted his continued existence? He was still unwelcome in the submerged metropolis after all, would they continue to harbor their latent resentment, even now?

The Blood Omen silenced his thoughts in an instant, feeling himself revert to the state of confusion he was in when he first left the waves and tumbled onto the Asterian shores. He made too much progress to simply return to that now. Desrium took a breath and then got into his meditation stance, bracing his metal fists against each other and then becoming statuesque...

In the distance from the forest surrounding the shrine of Agnaroth could be heard what sounded like a distant thunder: the telltale rumbling of a marching army, one grand in scale, heading straight for the forest...

Septimus listened, fascinated by this turn of events. Suddenly, their prospects did not seem so bleak as he had believed them to be. However, a few things still didn't make sense. "How were they summoned here?" rumbled the Dragon curiously, more than a bit bewildered as to how they had been assembled here so swiftly...

In the storm beyond the shrine's walls, the boom of thunder could be heard, the sky igniting as a bolt arced through the air, splitting into what looked like hundreds of smaller bolts, the sky lit up in an electric web for a split second before fading once more...

"I see..." responded Septimus, not quite satisfied with the answer, but not wanting to press the matter. "Are there others assembling allies to the cause, or is it just us?" asked the Dragon...

"There is another. One who may know how of a way to end the Traitor," Radamand explained, looking out through the window toward the approaching darkness, which was visible even in the night sky.

"Lets hope they've had more success. I don't know how much good a sea-bound city and two large towns are going to do against a deity" responded Septimus solemnly. glancing over at Jiier, he wondered whether or not to inquire about shapeshifting, or whether he'd best leave it for another time. Deciding it was probably best to put it off, the Dragon turned away from the others, walking towards one of the darker corners of the chamber, silently considering the viability of sleep. It had been over two days since he last truly rested...though his grown form could stay awake for three days before requiring sleep, it was very much possible that he wouldn't get that opportunity if he didn't exploit it now...

Arashi meanwhile, had descended from the skies, landing at the entrance of the temple, glancing around at the structure's walls, pillars and floors, impressed by the workmanship of the ancient ruin. Clearly those who built this place were masters in the arts of masonry and architecture. It was unchallenged by anything he had seen in Aster thus far. The Dragon furled his wings, his black wing talons shimmering menacingly in the dim light, the Dragon walking into the massive structure, his dark blue-grey leathery hide glistening with moisture from the rain outside, his mane glowing brightly, seemingly unaffected by the heavy rains, casting a glow all around him as he walked down the halls...

Vix had noticed the movement, and the dark stain on Elias's fingers, much as he tried to hide it. stood and gave a long stretch, wincing as her back cracked and the skin over the old scar stretched tight. "May Loessa grant it's so," she murmured, turning and walking toward the stream, leaving the dirty rag where she'd been sitting. Taking her already ripped sleeve in her teeth, she tore a new strip from it and knelt to dip it in the water. She was tired, but that had never stopped her from finishing a job before.
