Guame knew that the raven was there... and who it was. "It is great to see you again, Tzeentch." He said, turning to the bird...

Mazdamundi and Chakax stopped as Radamand appeared. The Slann's voice boomed in his head, "You are the guardian of this place..."

Discord rested on the rooftop as well, aware of the unusual raven but paying it no mind. Instead, the chimera twirled his eagle claw, watching the cluster of cobblestones floating before him swirl and twist in a strange, suitably chaotic dance. "Tzeentch..." he muttered to no one in particular. "Weird name..."

Thalion was not amused by the sudden invasion of the human, the hippogriff spreading his wings with a low hissing caw, rising to his feet in warning, the winged steed easily towering over Elias, casting a large shadow over the man. "Impressive speed, but sometimes a more subtle approach is needed" said Andruil lowly as he climbed off the rock he used as his watch post, walking out of the shadows near Elias. "It strikes me as odd that you came to us so weak and malnourished when you obviously have the speed to catch your food when needed" he added, the tone obviously hinting he was indirectly asking the man a question, as Thalion backed away somewhat at the sight of Andruil's behaviour towards the man, the hippogriff returning to his preening...

"Hm...I wonder if he would be willing to teach me about shapeshifting" rumbled Septimus, half to himself, in thought. The shape-shifting Dragon had proven himself a valuable friend and ally, in more ways than one...

"If this is all the defence your emperor has, I would be surprised if he still drew breath" stated one of the two Archknights as they approached the guards to the palace, his tone intentionally sharp and audible, to insure he woke the slacking guards...

"In time, friend. He has been through much recently" responded the armored being, walking over to the window where Radamand spent his night observing the spread of darkness...

The two guards shot wide awake when they heard the Archnight spoke. "The emperor's well-guarded, not jsut by us, but others as well." They spoke in unison, before one of then added on, "You are the Valenhad knights here to see Trajan? You are welcomed in." Here, the guard opened up the gate. Trajan had told both of them of their arrival the other day, so they had been prepared...

"Likewise, though I wish I was here under better circumstances," Tzeentch replied, having assumed the familiar form of the hooded old woman by the time Guame turned to regard her. "I must have an audience with the Emperor."

"I am now," Radamand replied verbally, though he too could communicate telepathically. The true keepers of the shrine died out very long ago, the giant knew, so he was about as close as they could get.

"We will see. You'd best see to it your shifts are changed and less....worthless guards are brought to take your place. One soldier can mean the difference between victory and defeat. You do not want to be the ones upon whose heads the blame for the fall of Tristan's Emperor is placed" responded the Archknight warningly as they walked past them, continuing onwards towards the entrance to the palace...

"Hmm...Fair enough" rumbled Septimus with a slow nod. curiosity tugged at him however, and the Dragon decided to go and investigate the reason for Radamand's departure from the chamber, the Dragon turning and heading towards the hallway leading to the entrance...

The city of Freyr-Lunge was greeted by a herald of trumpets. The royal guard upon the walls of Freyr-lunge smiled at the heralds, looking down upon them with great hopes.

"Greetings, Herald," one guard rumbled. "What brigns you to Draxon's capital city?"

"We come with great news!" the lead herald replied. "From the cold tundra of the north, the hardened soldiers from Snowmourne and Frostbane have arrived! Behold, the greatest warriors in all of eastern Aster, and most definitely some of the toughest men around!"

A bellow of trumpets resounded, as the gates creaked open. Walls of heavily armored soldiers from Snowmourne and Frostbane entered the city, giving bystanders quite an eyefull. The warriro stood tall and proud, armored from head to toe in some of the finest armor crafted in the region. Their grizzled brows and hardened expressions showed just why these men were the pinnacle in Draxon infantry...

"I am not the changeling, but we work to the same end," Radamand explained, his expression unchanging. "You have come here to fight the evil that threatens all of Aster. You and your forces must remain here until a proper assemblage of armies can be gathered, and the changeling returns."

The two guards looked at one another, then shrugged. If need be, they could always bring their pals in to help guard...

Both Byakuren and Dione noticed the two Archknights entering into the palace. THey too had been told of their arrival, and both decided to walk in after them...

A sudden chirping awoke Trajan from his sleep. The emperor swung his dagger out wildly as he sat up in his bed, only to see a shrike perched on his dresser. "Stupid bird, making me nearly-" And then, the realization hit him like a ton of bricks. The meeting with the knights was today! Now in a panick, he hurried to get himself into his usual day attire, the shrike flying out of the window...

Up on the roof, Guame nodded. "I think that now may be a good time to speak with him. He' ssupposed to meet with some Valenhad today, but I think they won't be-"

"Master Guame, they have just arrived and are now entering into the palace." Dione informed both him and the shapeshifter. This caused the old Beastman to furrow his brow, unaware of the shrike that flew past above him, changing into a bat as it did so...

Among the battle-hardened warriors entering into Draxon, was one near the back that seemed to be normal, but one of his eyes was red. It was Akuro in disguise. It had been easy for the Kitsune. Now that he had 8 tails, he had been able to turn himself into a tiny spark of electrcity, strike the soldier, and overwhelm his concious without alerting anyone else... Now, he was in the city...

The ray of sunlight that pierced the dim temple waned with the slow movement of a large gray cloud, a silver glow wrapping around its dark form and disrupting the melancholy of the sky. Even against such incredible odds, the future was not bleak. A shape shot across the window abruptly, a small brown bird that set off into the moist morning air, its fast wing beats sending it soaring above the treeline at the base of the plateau and along the mountain range. His crimson eyes lingered on the diminutive creature for a short while longer before he turned away from the view of the outside world. His own curiosity beckoned: it was time to see what these ruins hid in their halls...

The soldiers marched into the barracks, soon to be briefed by their captain in the event of combat...

Draco oversaw the soldier's arrivel, a smile emblazened on his face. Good, good.... his armies were at their peak. Now with over 10,000 men, his legion was ready to head out. Lord Azikel would be most pleased with this operation...

Nitsunobue continued on his way, his mind locked on the goblin tribes of the great forest. At the very least, he should be able to convince one of the tribes. And if he couldn't convicne them through diplomacy, he could always convince them with fear....

Zar opened both eyes fully, raising his head a bit. He flicked out his forked tongue, the venom coating it shimmering iridescent green in the light. Andruil raised an interesting point. And aside from that, the night before, Elias could barely walk, let alone move with that kind of speed....one meal couldn't have restored his strength that much, could it..? As he moved, Vix stirred a bit, half-roused by Andruil's voice and Zar's actions.

The two Archknights entered the palace, stopping in the main hall, awaiting the summons of the Emperor's steward. As high a rank as they possessed, it was not their place to barge in on the Emperor uninvited. If given a dire enough reason however, they would not hesitate. Valenhad's main ally in this war was Germania, and the Kingdom had every intention of preserving that ally's ability to assist...

Meanwhile, on the edge of the jungle surrounding the shrine, in the grasslands, the joint forces of the Hukkamil-Birran and the Abirus-Sahari marched, tens of thousands of men and women moving through the grasslands in legions. cloaks streaked black and tan, scarf-like cloths wrapping around their heads and faces, exotic blades of various designs, from the straight long swords to the elven scimitars and glaives, crossbows, long bows and artillery pieces being carried by the army, the most formidable weapons being placed on the backs of large beasts of burden, massive, curve-horned saurians striding along on all fours, moving weapons platforms in and of themselves. The soldiers marched on foot or on the backs of strange, exotic beasts of various sizes, made their way towards the shrine, the King of the Hukkamil-Birran, Qa'id Antar Timeem, at their head, riding upon a dark-furred Manticore, it's leonine head hanging on powerful shoulders, two sabre-like fangs extending from its upper jaw in the place of regular canines. Behind it, it's tail seemed to float and writhe with an unnatural grace, though its whip-like dimensions and barbed form hinted it would be a ferocious weapon when the need arose. From its back, to large leathery wings hung, furled at its sides for now. At the brisk pace the army marched, they would likely reach the shrine by noon...

Septimus soon reached the entrance, watching as Radamand spoke to the reptilian newcomers. Lizardmen from Lustria, to be precise. intrigued, Septimus listened in on the discussion...

Elias watched as the knight spoke to him " this speed takes a incredible toll on my body after use for long periods of time when you found me I had used it to much causing my body to break down and become well as you saw the state I was in last night . " he sighed softly as his back cracked " it really is only a night of rest and a good meal and I'm normally ready to go but also it's kinda hard to hunt with the speed I use when you have large painfully wounds that weren't Properly cared for " he said
" Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again " - avenged sevenfold dear god

"I would advise against moving too actively so soon. You need to give your wounds time to heal" warned Andruil firmly, not wanting Elias to make the novice's mistake that feeling better meant they truly were better. He had learned the consequences of that himself...

Crimson light poured in through the the halls in which Desrium explored, focusing his energies on his eyes and in turn making them shine, their luminosity greater than ever before thanks to his meditation. His footsteps were occasionally punctuated by the crunching of dead leaves blown in from the outside. The sounds traveled through the deserted temple as a muffled echo, as if the walls themselves devoured them.

It was not long until Desrium came across the maned shape-shifter, the red light washing over the slumbering dragon's form as he peered into the room. He could tell that the brown dragon had recovered greatly over the night from his powerful aura. "He has been through much" the armored being thought before turning away, heading deeper into the temple.

"I'm afraid I cannot wait until they depart. A friend of Germania is a potential ally in the coming storm, however. Take me to them," Tzeentch explained hastily, pulling the staff out from her arm sleeve, which she quickly leaned on.

"Can you explain what this evil truly is?" Mazdamundi asked, still telepathically. Though capable of speaking aloud, telepathy was nearly instinctual among the Slann, particularly ones as old as Mazdamundi. "My fellow Slann do not recognize it. It is either from another plane... or before our time. The first generation of the Mage-Priests are silent, and they would be the only ones who knew, so we do not know what awaits us..."

"Dhoulmagus," Zazikel's voice boomed in the darkness of the cave. "Your master has a job for you..."

Tetto'eko was awake now, staring solemnly at the darkness on the horizon. "Are you quite sure this is the Archdemon's doing?" he asked aloud, not singling any particular comrade out...
