"...Training" Desrium said without further explanation, his arms and legs danging as he was held in the giant's grip. Looking down at where he once stood, he saw a reasonably sized web of cracks where his foot smashed the marble...

"You are damaging the temple," Radamand stated in response, his fiery eyes staring at the damaged floor. Jiier had been afraid of collateral damage. "Take it outside," Radamand concluded, casually dropping Desrium back on the floor.

Desrium landed in a crouch, small flakes and white powder leaping up from the shattered spot from his heavy impact. He stood straight soon after and turned his head to Jiier before looking towards the corridor leading out to the shrine, beginning to make his way towards it.

"Wait," Radamand boomed, Jiier just about to follow after Desrium. "What is the purpose of your training?" the giant inquired, his expression once again unchanging.

"Desrium wishes to learn how to fight hand-to-hand," Jiier explained.

"A useful skill, but irrelevant in the coming storm. Where is his weapon?" Radamand asked, his eyes flaring brighter momentarily.

"He no longer has one," Jiier responded bluntly, frowning.

"Why do you ask?" Desrium inquired after he too stopped, his head turned to the side so that the corner of his eye faced Radamand, partially hidden by his hood.

Radamand remained silent for several moments, his fiery eyes growing brighter than Jiier had ever seen them become. It seemed as if the giant was struggling with something. After a few more tense, silent moments, Radamand breathed out deeply, as if resigning. "Come with me," he growled, almost through gritted teeth, as he strode off into the depths of the temple, Jiier following swiftly after.

Desrium fell into step behind his simian companion, wondering just what the giant could be leading them off to after seeming so irritated seconds before...

After only a short time of walking, the three came to a seemingly ordinary room, as over sized as the rest of the temple. A few benches were placed at the walls, and large stone shelves were found devoid of any literature they may have once held. Radamand approached the farthest wall from the entrance, where a large, smooth stone was embedded in the wall, seemingly another stone carving that became unreadable over time. A series of small holes, many times smaller than an average human's finger, were cut into the rock, however. Radamand simply stared at the stone, placing one gigantic hand against its surface. After a few silent moments, the ground around them began to rumble, as the entire wall split apart with a cascade of noise and dust, revealing a darkened staircase spiraling downward.

"Remain here," Radamand commanded, turning to stare briefly at the two. The look was of deadly focus, clearly demonstrating to them that this was not the time to disobey him. Turning back, the giant disappeared down the staircase in a few strides.

Desrium looked to Jiier again and then down the darkened stairs, wondering if there were other passages such as this hidden elsewhere in the temple. Perhaps the chambers he entered concealed such mysteries within their worn walls. The Blood Omen stood still as the stone around them as he awaited Radamand's return.

Jiier returned Desrium's glance, but said nothing. He couldn't sense anything within the chamber beyond...not even Radamand, who he had been able to sense since they arrived at the temple.

After a few silent moments, Radamand reappeared at the entrance to the stairwell, strangely not making a sound during his ascent. In one hand was an impressive weapon made of shimmering metal of unknown origin, the color of which seemed to shift constantly between black and white as the light level changed. It looked like a spear or pike in appearance, ending in two large bladed prongs. The spear was enormous, large enough for the giant himself to use as a walking stick if he wanted. As Radamand stepped out from the stairwell, the walls began to crawl back together, sending forth another gust of dust and a torrent of noise.

The giant slammed the end of the spear into the ground, chipping the marble slightly as he did, displaying the weapon in its full glory.

The armored being was transfixed by the weapon displayed before him, its transitions from white and black reminding him of his encounter with the Unicorn. It had an odd vibe associated to its form, a faint emanation of magic that seemed unfitting for such a noble artifact. "Is this meant for me?" Desrium asked, having never before been presented with something such as the spear...

"So it would seem," Radamand responded, his gaze shifting down to the weapon itself. The giant stepped forward, twisting his hand so that the spear lay in his palm, and knelt down to present it to the Blood Omen.

Desrium nodded and reached out, his dark gray hands wrapping around the almost shimmering grip of the spear, taking it into his own grasp and holding it at an angle, its double blades pointed high towards the ceiling of the chamber.

Suddenly Radamand's outstretched hand grabbed a hold of the spear, while his other hand wrapped around Desrium's head, hoisting the Blood Omen several yards above the ground. Jiier visibly jumped at the sudden action, his staff falling out of his sleeve and into his hand, getting into a combat stance. The pressure on Desrium's head was immense, if he could feel it.

"If any harm comes to this weapon outside of battle, I will unmake you," Radamand snarled, his voice echoing as if it was coming from everywhere at once, as quiet and deadly as one can imagine. The normally blue flames of the giant's eyes now burned a hellish orange-red, and almost engulfed his entire forehead.

"I understand" Desrium replied, his voice still level and devoid of emotion despite the sight of the former Doomfang's eyes would scar any other mortal creature. "I will protect this weapon as I once protected my sword; and I will not let this fall to the Traitor. I swear it" the Blood Omen pledged.

Radamand's eyes gradually changed back to their normal color, the giant releasing Desrium as he had done before. The spear, though still quite long, was not as long as it had been in the giant's grasp, now more appropriately sized for a being Desrium's size. Jiier gradually lowered his guard, not exactly appreciating the need for such a threat, but understood how important the weapon was to Radamand.

Desrium landed in a crouch again, careful to hold his weapon off to his side so that it would not hit the stone floor in spite of seeing Radamand driving it into the marble just minutes prior. Desrium stood back to his full height, the spear almost matching him in that regard. He turned his gaze from Radamand to Jiier and said "It would seem our training must be altered. I do not know how to use this"

"I can teach you about handling a weapon that size, but I'm afraid there's quite the difference between a staff and a spear," Jiier responded after thinking for a moment, keeping an eye on Radamand while he spoke, who seemed to remain very still and silent.

"Indeed. There is much work to be done, however, and the time left to do it is uncertain. We should start at once" Desrium responded firmly, uncannily similar to how the two started their journey...

"What happened then?" asked Septimus, his tone surprisingly neutral in spite of his hatred of his father, his bias folding beneath his intrigue, drawing a saddened smile from Arashi, knowing, yet dreading the young Dragon's reaction. "For a being such as myself, I required tremendous amounts of power. Power I could never hope to generate alone. I continued my studies into the effects of exiting time, until I had gained a fairly acute idea of what its effects were. I knew that if I were to do this to myself, I would have to be as knowledgeable on the subject as was physically possible. Nearly a century and a half later, I decided the time had come. And with the knowledge I had gathered, I descended into the great lake, to its depths, until I found the core of the Mana well, and began to feed off its power as I formed a barrier to shield me from it, filtering in small amounts that my form could handle, until I started my procedure" explained the Elder as he glanced out across the forest surrounding the shrines, watching the mighty mountains beyond. "I then began to do the most dangerous experiment I had ever conducted. I opened the gate around me. Within the confines of my psychic shield, so that I would not accidentally take the Mana Well's core itself with me. as it spread wider, it took more of my power, until eventually, it spread to accomodate my size. I would later discover that the action left scars on the surroundings, including turning Khulruud peak black, turned to obsidian and dissolving a portion of its peak, turning it to a serrated, jagged edge as a chunk of it fell into the lake. As I was engulfed by the gateway, I felt as if my entire body would be torn asunder. I had formed the gateway too slow, and now portions of me were being pulled into it faster than others, in spite of my psychic protection. In a split second decision, I fed it a larger amount of Mana to complete it, and was sucked into it, the gateway closing behind me" rumbled the Dragon, his glowing eyes staring sightlessly through time itself, back to the day he had done the impossible.

"Septimus. It was with good reason it was claimed to be impossible. Beyond the gateway...I saw a dimension...a realm with no land, no water, no sky...just...endless wisps of light. blues, purples, whites and reds, to name the few colours our minds could comprehend, amidst billions that had no name in any tongue, mortal or otherwise, danced across the seeming horizons in a place where neither proximity nor time had any grip. The distance between my eyes and the end of my snout was the same as that between the Northern crests of the Kirrahara, and the southern-most beaches of Aster. A second was as a millennium. A millennium, a second. All around me I could see remnants of those who had tried before. Not as bodies, but as ash. What little collections of dust still retained human form taught me that it was simply beyond their physical power to take such horrific forces. Even Dragons, Demons and other entities as timeless as the Hueilin themselves, floated lifelessly, to be dissolved by the faintest touch. I knew that to linger any longer here was to risk sharing their fate. With every second, my memories became foggier and foggier, and I grasped onto the thought of my destination, and exerted my remaining power to transport me seven hundred years before the time of my departure from the mortal plane; the time, I concluded, I would require to fully see the world beyond the Hueilin's home in the mountains. At that instance, a brillaintly bright rift tore into the plane's very being, beginning to suck out the dust of those who came before me. I rushed to the rift, not knowing how long it would remain open, or what the remnants of beings of countless ages and places could do if reintroduced to the plane of their origination. As I entered, I felt as though a portion of my soul was rent from me, and my mind was pierced with white hot pain as I lost consciousness" said the Stormweaver, stopping for a moment to settle himself. Septimus was amazed by the vivid descriptions this wretch of a Dragon brought forth, having heard of nothing like it in his time as a seeker of knowledge. "When I again awoke I was in a cavern deep within the Kirrahara mountains, washed away by the lake's currents, no doubt. As I emerged, I shook my head of the dizziness that had claimed me, and began to use the Wards to guide me out of the system and out of the mountains. What followed, is a story for another day" He concluded as he shifted his gaze upon Septimus, returning to his placid state, his expression blank. Septimus rose to his feet, wanting to ask for more but already knowing Arashi would not tell him anything more until he felt he was ready. With that, Septimus turned away from the Stormweaver, he resumed his meditations, as Septimus went to seek out his friends...

Andruil chuckled at the comment, catching the glance as he smiled knowingly. as he mounted the satchels on the gryphons, making sure everything was prepared before leaping onto Thalion, seating himself firmly before glancing at the others. "Let's get moving" he said firmly...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
