Trajan looked curiously at the old woman. Just who was she? He felt like asking who she was, but judging fromt he tone in her voice, he had a feeling she'd be explaining everything soon. "A great evil? Just what might that be?" Trajan asked. Both Byakuren and Dione seemed also confused, but Guame was grim faced. He knew just what the shapeshifter had to say...

Besides Discord, Djinn was relaxing. She liked being in the chimera's presence, and for one reason only...

The madness and chaos that oozed from him.

It was like basking in the rays of the sun and recieving a tan. She enjoyed it greatly. But what she didn't know, was that inside her bloodstream, the very inhibitors that had been inserted into her long ago were now being overrunand broken down thnaks to the chaos emmited by Discord...

You cannot fathom the danger this world is in. It is you who are the simpleton. Do not presume to judge the things you do not comprehend echoed a deep, rumbling voice in the succubus's mind. It belonged neither to the Giant, nor to Septimus eyeing her, who had calmed down and reverted to his previous distraction of watching Desrium and Jiier in the courtyard...

As the Changeling and the Germanian King spoke, Paracelsus lifted his staff, slamming it down, the base hitting the ground with a boom, a flash of light visible as the runes along the length of the staff shone brightly, Dhoulmagus's form being exposed, pinned to the wall by a cage of light, the magical prison baring down all around him with a burning sensation that seemed to lick and singe at his very soul, threatening to destroy him at the slightest hint of resistance. "Expecting guests, your majesty?" said the Archknight to Trajan, eyes glowing brightly as he eyed the entity warily...

Tzeentch remained unfazed. "I haven't the time to explain. Not here. It is responsible for the darkness that spreads across this land, and if you wish to ensure the safety of your people, you and your forces will follow this map," the changeling explained quickly, producing a folded map from her sleeve. "The beastman and his friend can attest to the power of this individual, for they have seen it with their own eyes. Do not take this lightly, Emperor Trajan," she concluded, her walking stick disappearing up her sleeve as she transformed before their eyes, becoming a raven once more, which flew without another word from where they had entered...

"I have already explained how to fight an individual. Understanding the strengths and limitations of your weapon is a key to success in that regard. And understanding your own shortcomings, as well as those of your enemy, is another," Jiier explained. "Fighting multiple, similar-sized foes at once requires a very defensive attitude. You must learn to predict and anticipate attacks. Normally, that means feeling the movement of your enemy, hearing their breathing change, the sound of their weapon moving, and so forth," he continued, his tail swaying behind him as he leaned on the staff. "But as a...whatever you are, I don't think you can accomplish that in such a way."

"Ah, war," Discord said, hovering down from the ceiling. "The classic example of chaos. Can I come?" he added with a childish, hopeful grin. He ignored Dhoulmagus's sudden appearance for the moment, brushing it off as just yet another random occurrence courtesy of yours truly...

Desrium nodded. "My senses do not work as yours do. I do not feel the air- but I know the energies it contains. I do not have ears yet I can hear the plants moving all around us. My eyes can shine in the dark, allowing me to see as clearly as I see now, in the light of the day" He readied his spear once again, holding it at a steep upwards angle. "I knew how to wield my sword as if it were my arms or legs, and as such I will learn to do the same with this weapon" the Blood Omen continued, his eyes flashing as he finished speaking, causing a sudden change in color in the spear for a split second.

"Unfortunately we cannot have a true test in this regard. Knowledge and individual combat drills are pretty much our only options," Jiier responded, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "We could spar as well, but that can only teach you how to fight an opponent of a similar size."

"You have the ability to shapeshift into your larger form. Wouldn't that be of use?" suggested Septimus, cocking his head curiously...

"I do not believe I could fight a dragon, Septimus. Not yet" the armored being said after looking up to the Hueilin. He turned his gaze downwards again and proceeded to engage in another round of maneuvers, jabbing the dual bladed weapon through the air in quick succession before transitioning into spiraling slashes, improving on how he shifted his weight around with the weapon in tow...

"I wouldn't say that," Jiier said with a smirk. "But you definitely couldn't fight THIS dragon," he concluded, flexing his muscles dramatically.

In response, Desrium came out of his spin stomping his foot down, cracking the stone beneath his foot and raising the craggy edge of a shard of the platform. The armored being then stamped down again, the shard leaping into the air. With a powerful broadside swing of his spear, he batted the shard at the maned simian, narrowly missing.

"More training is required" Desrium noted.

In one smooth move, Jiier swung the staff, which he was leaning on moments ago, around to intercept the shard as it passed him, sending it thunking against Desrium's head.

"You sure about that?" Jiier asked, pretending the whole thing was quite casual.

"I am quite sure" Desrium said, looking down to where the small chunk of rock landed a few feet away. "I did not see that coming. I will make sure to rectify this mistake"

The Scholar chuckled at the interaction between the two. "I would volunteer, but my fighting tactics are primarily aerial, and use magical abilities as well as physical. It would be...less than fair" rumbled Septimus with a chuckle. glancing towards Jiier, he decided now would be the time to inquire on his own training. "Jiier...Would you be willing to teach me a bit about shapeshifting? I know I have the ability...just not how to actually use it" he stated...

Jiier blinked, slightly caught off guard. Although Desrium had mentioned Septimus' inquiry about shapeshifting, he was still quite surprised that the other dragon needed his help with...anything. "...Sure, I can teach you what I know," he replied with a nod, scratching his head with one hand. "That means you need to keep practicing while I help Septimus," he said, pointing at Desrium. "You can never practice enough. Remember that."

Septimus smiled lightly, appreciating the Dragon's agreement, the Scholar leaping from his perch and spreading his wings, lightening his fall, landing with a thump on the floor of the Courtyard a few feet from the simian...

Without a word, Desrium continued to go through his forms, quick strikes leading into his more powerful movement, utilizing his ever increasing momentum to its full advantage and then suddenly cementing his stance on the ground, as if he had to suddenly adapt to an invisible enemy, at which he incorporated the bobbing movements of hand to hand combat, dodging blows that none other than himself could see, the weight of his spear throwing off his evasions until he finally tripped over himself and crashed onto his back.

"Practice" Desrium stated, staring up at the light gray sky.

"...Doing good Desrium!" Jiier called, giving the Blood Omen a sarcastic thumb's up. Turning back to Septimus, the simian nodded. "What I can tell you may or may not help. After all, dragon species differ, but its worth a try," he explained. "Shapeshifting comes from the control over your own energy. If you believe you look like a dwarf, and exert enough control over your energy, you will become one," he continued, taking in a deep breath as he began to light up, his form growing and expanding as he became a dragon once more. "I can only have one ulterior form, but I can change that form into anything I want. The process of changing it is lengthy, however, so I cannot become something new on the fly," the maned dragon growled, flexing his wings. "But you are an expert mage. I don't know how that would effect the forms you can use."

Desrium raised himself from the stone, shook himself to get the dust out of his robe and wasted no time before he was at work again, his experience showing its effect on his performance almost immediately. He held his spear at a level more agreeable to his center of gravity and was sure to support himself at all angles as he danced about the platform, a film of dust trailing his feet as he went...

Septimus chuckled as he looked back at the armoured being, walking with Jiier as he listened to the older Dragon's explanation. "Most shapeshifters amongst the Hueilin have three forms aside from their natural one" growled Septimus as he walked, channelling the energy through his form experimentally. "I'm unfortunately not as adept in the arcane as you think. But Still, perhaps it is enough" he added, smiling with pride at Jiier's assumption he was an expert mage. Perhaps he wasn't as weak as he believed he was. "How did you learn to shapeshift, if you don't mind me asking?" he asked, trying to see if he could not find a hint as to the learning process for something such as this. He had never attended such training in his homeland because he was, at the time, physically incapable of transfiguration. But since Thurduunax had rectified that flaw, he was now equipped with the ability. He just needed to find out how to apply it correctly in order for transformation to be successful...
