The sounds of war drums, animalistic roars, and clashing weapons in the forest below the shrine marked the site of training Saurus Warriors, who were as loud as they were brutal. They traded purposely weak blows, still strong enough to grievously wound a human, but causing the thick-skinned Lizardmen little harm. Overseeing their training was a massive, scarred Saurus Oldblood with an oversized shield and axe, and was completely white-scaled, clearly an albino...

"It was out of necessity," Jiier stated simply, frowning. "I was told of its importance by my mother, shortly before she passed away. I couldn't shapeshift at the time, but after getting control of my powers, it came naturally," he explained, staring off into the gray sky for a moment.

"Hmm" rumbled the Dragon thoughtfully. Admittedly, he hadn't dared to try for fear that he would accidentally hurt himself. which brought him to his next question. "Did you encounter any mishaps along the way? Accidentally shape-shifting one part of your body but not the other? something of the like?" he asked with a curved brow...

Dhoulmagus snarled at the intense pain that had engulfed him, yet he seemd unfazed by this. He was more angry at the fact that he had been exposed. The creature snarled, his eyeless face locking onto the Archknight, before a cloud of mist soon was emitted from his form, filling the room with an incapacitating gas.

"Go to sleep, little mortals," Dhoulmagus hissed....

OOC: Hope this is okay... post refering to the capture made it unsure if it prevented physical and magic stuff or not...

It was not long before Desrium was swerving across the courtyard, sabatons thunking and thudding against the platform as he wound about the open with balance and focus only demonstrated by the Blood Omen when he as equipped with his sword. Clearly, that was no more, Desrium taking to his new weapon with swift learning. The skills that accompanied the dual bladed spear sank into him with each jab and dodge practiced, each one being more effective than the last...

"Not anything horrific," Jiier growled, slightly disappointed at that fact. "At first, I just couldn't do it. I would revert back to my true form. But as I said, once I got proper control over my power, it came naturally to me."

The skeletal wyvern reformed, snorting as it stood. Icil sighed and patted Rattlebones's head as she climbed onto the beast's back.

Icil was confused. Who just spoke to her thoughts... And who the hell were they calling a simpleton?

Who are you, and what actions do you intend of doing to my own thoughts, the necromancer thought.

As the gas began to swirl in the air, the second Archknight raised his staff, a silvery flare being seen at the tip of his staff, the gas swirling into a funnal, forming a blackened orb at the tip of the staff, before being wrapped around the shade. "Foolish" said Paracelsus, before hammering the base of his staff against the ground once more, a jolting pain tearing through the shade's form...

"I see. Well....Any advice on how to begin?...or should I just focus my energy and picture a form and see what results I can achieve?" inquired Septimus as he already began to picture possible forms that would be of use to him...

Trajan was trying to make sense of what was happening, and what had just happened. It took the Emperor a few moments before he understood what was going on.
"I was only expecting the company of you Archknights and my two friends here for this meeting. The old woman and that... thing." He pointed at Dhoulmagus. "...were completely unexpected. And yes, your country has my full support for the dark times that have befallen the land." Dione nodded in agreement, though what the Changeling had said was making her feel sorta uneasy...

Byakuren, however, seemed more intrested in just what kind of creature Dhoulmagus was. The magician had pulled out her scroll, and was trying to match the thing trapped in the Archknight's spell with what she had noted down, but couldn't find it... "Sure, I guess you can join ni, Discord." Byakuren said without turning her head to the chimera...

Back at Burzum's Castle, Mara was heading right for the Orc's main barracks. A grin was across her face, and flames were churning around her staff...

Dhoulmagus squealed in anger, his faceless head still managing to convey his emotions to the best of his abilities. The creature soon began to focus his powers, an intense wave of pain overcoming him, cracks forming in his skin as his cage's anti-magic barrier worked against him. His attempted to use his illusion spells to crack the seal placed upon him. The seal was slightly weakened, but was still too powerful; instead of completely freeing the beast, all he had managed to do was free up his limbs, but he was still trapped, and his body stung greatly, more cracks formed in his skin as black blood oozed from the monster's form. Dhoulmagus roared in pain, tentacles thrashing about in a vain attempt to crush his foes....

After a moment Sulrana lowered her head slightly, feathers rippling lightly as she picked up speed to match Thalion and then promptly gave a startled sideways jerk and a short chirp of surprise as she was unexpectedly cast into Zar's reddish shadow. She wasn't really afraid of the dragon, but on the other hand, wasn't anywhere near used to him yet. Myrn was still at the rear of the flight group. As the tinted shadow passed over her, the gryphon suddenly had an odd feeling - possibly a remnant of something she had felt at some point between sleep and wakefulness the previous night. It confused her. Gryphons were supposed to be noble, positive creatures who did not normally suffer from nightmares or bizarre, imaginary fears. But this felt like neither. It felt vague, but very real. Almost instinctively, Myrn reached one birdlike forefoot up to the center of her chest, her claws scraping over the small round metal chestplate of her harness. It was in there somewhere... that odd feeling... right at the spot where her white neck ring came to a diamond-shaped point...

"I see. Very well. I'll begin practising" rumbled Septimus, before turning towards one of the corners of the courtyard, sitting as he curled his tail around his legs, closing his eyes as he began to channel his energy, letting it flow through his entire form freely, as his mind worked on formulating a form that he felt would be of use in the future...

a lancing bolt of pain tore through Dhoulmagus's form as he struggled, the magic specifically meant to cause immeasurable agony to the victim, capable, in concentrated doses, of breaking their minds entirely. "You death will only be more painful if you fight, shade. Surrender, and perhaps the King will see fit to show mercy on you" warned Paracelsus, his tone threatening as his eyes gleamed powerfully. He was one of the Elder Archknights of the Council; aetherian warriors forged from the hottest fires of war, armed with over a century's experience in magical warfare, and wielding magical power earned through the strictest of laws and codes. It would take considerably more to break his hold...and with Atticus, the second Archknight at his side, there was little hope the shade would manage to escape even if it did somehow overpower his captor. "Your Majesty....I believe it would be wise to interrogate him" said Atticus as he turned to eye Trajan. He was wary of Discord, but for now ignored him. He was, at least, neutral towards them. He also had picked up the taint on Byakuren, and was certain Paracelsus had done so as well. Both would require questioning later, to know of their intentions...

"Please. Do not insult me. If I wished to harm you, I would not have wasted my time speaking with you. Who I am is of little importance. You, on the other hand, are another matter entirely. Why do you come here, of all places? No record exists of this temple, so you could not have found it in any book or map" rumbled the voice in Icil's head, no clue given as to the source...

Get out of my head! Please! I would leave if I wasn't so trapped in this hellhole! I was simply going to explore it and leave, the succubus thought.

She was starting to go crazy.

Dhoulmagus growled angrily, eventually ceasing his struggles. He knew that, with enough willpower, he could break this seal... but perhaps it would be better to play pansy for these simpletons. Besides, he'd been trapped in a monolith for 3,000 years, and subject to intense torture of his broken form; a moment's pain like this was nothing to him. But, despite his prone position, he couldn't resist shooting off a boast.

"It will take more than a cage and magical prowess to break me," Dhoulmagus snarled. "I've endured worse for a far longer time..."

"If forced, we will imprison you...permanently. Your life force, your very essence, will slowly be destroyed, until nothing remains. Greater Demons and magical abominations have fallen to our order than you. I suggest you do not force our hand. It will not end well for you" responded Paracelsus calmly as his eyes narrowed...

Trajan appeared to be thinking hard. Kill this thing, or interrogate it? It wasn't that hard of a decision for him. After all, he wanted to know what this... thing knew. "Yes, let's interrogate him and see what he knows. No doubt he may know something on this great evil that the old woman mentioned..." He said.

Byakuren seemed a tad uncomftrable with the torturing of Dhoulmagus. While she had wanted for a more peaceful solution, she knew that the knights knew what they were doing, and that this was an enemy, a spy... She herself had had to deal with enemy spies before, and more often than not, they had been beyond redemption... Plus, she could sense the evil coming from him...

The orcs in the barracks were unaware of Mara's approach, doing what they would usually amongst themselves....

"I do not fear death, mortal," Dhoulmagus replied, tentacles writhing about on their own accord, examining the area subconsciously.

"My essence will return to the earth, as I am one with the earth.... my EXISTENCE is the will of this sad, sad world. I live not to spread evil. As the creatures you fools worship were born to protect and create, I do as I was born to do: kill and destroy."

The last sentence seemed directed towards the emperor more than the knights, though the creature wasn't necessarily sure who the emperor WAS at this point.

"Whatever you plan to do, magician, make it quick. I have better things to worry about than petty fools...."

Desrium, halfway across the courtyard from Septimus, ceased his training as he sensed the rising magical energy that concentrated itself around his Hueilin companion. The Blood Omen turned to the Scholar, seeing him in an almost meditative state while he channeled his power. It was something that interested the armored being greatly, not only because he fed on such energies but because one day, he wished to have that much control over his inner essence as well. "Never enough practice; but more pressing matters are at hand" Desrium mused, refocusing himself and fortifying his evasive skills.
