"Oh, really, madam?" Icil implied in a wondrous tone, her wings fluttering for a brief moment. "Do tell."

"I don't know much," the barmaid replied. "I remember reading about them once, in an old book my father once owned. It said something about a place called 'Lustria' being their home, which contains deadly beasts, and their reclusive nature... but otherwise, there wasn't much on them."

It wasn't long before the two entered the courtyard of the temple, standing before the massive hammer that greeted all visitors. Jiier had not said a word the entire time, merely carrying his broken weapon toward the temple.

The Blood Omen rested himself upon the flat end of the monumental hammer, no longer compelled to watch over his battered and wounded comrade. Desrium was still concerned for Jiier though, unable to comprehend the sudden shift in the maned one's mood. He understood the connection the simian had to the staff- or he thought he did. Desrium was attempting to understand the situation through his own experiences with his sword. He defended the weapon fiercely for it was his only possession for centuries. This clearly wasn't the case for Jiier; whose chest back at the cave contained a great deal of items and trinkets. Thus, the complications that made divining the cause of the shapeshifter's distress such a frustrating task arose. Desrium had no idea what made the staff so valuable to his mentor, nor did he know why Jiier's discomfort persisted after destroying the transgressor.

Recognizing that his grasp of the circumstances was limited in the most generous of terms, the armored being decided to let the matter lie and leave the maned ape to his own devices. There was no telling how this would affect his performance during the fighting yet to come.

"Welcome," the barmaid replied.

"So did anything else happen?" a patron inquired.

Nitsunobue had long returned to the shrine, simply looking out over the area in an odd way to cope with his insanity, and to meditate for the coming battle. He needed to channel Anarchy's strength, but keep him in check at the same time... the only way to get his maximum power but retain his sanity was to focus and keep his mind locked on one thing... that one thing was revenge against the Archdemon, and any who serve him...

"Ah, yes. I went back to Rattlebones, weary and tired from the events that had occured: so weary and tired that I actually fell asleep right in front of him. I don't know what he did, but when I woke up he was but a pile of bones, and due to the fact that he had no magic (frost magic to be exact) left in him to hold him together, he was dead... again." The succubus said, scoffing at the word "again."

"Wait wait wait- you know necromancy?" one of the patrons gasped, in a mix of suprise, horror, and curiousity.

"Where did you learn such a... FOUL practice?" another grumbled in disgust.

"Who's Rattlebones?" one of the younger people in the Inn asked aloud.

"Yes, I am a necromancer, but do not worry: I use my necromantic powers to the good of situations, and even then I only use it when I absolutely need to. It's not like I have an entire horde of undead waiting outside for me, but of course this brings me to Rattlebones." Icil said with a smile. She then looked at the young one, ready to answer the question.

"Rattlebones is my pet skeletal frost wyvern. He is very kind, although his appearance is quite frightening. Also, he serves as my steed for whenever I travel Aster. Rattlebones is actually outside of the village right now, waiting for me."

"Good, good..." one of the older men grumbled. He didn't liek the idea of a Necromancer among them, but what could he do...

"Id Rattlebones friendly?" the young patron asked.

"If he senses you as a threat to me or him, he'll probably freeze you. However, Rattlebones only finds threats if he sees them attacking him or me first. In other words, as long as you don't harm him, you're good to go." Icil replied. "I didn't bring him in the village because he's about as big as a small house, and I didn't want to start a panic."

Septimus soon arrived at the designated training ground, Antar looking him over briefly before nodding. "Much better. Now you look worthy of the skin you wear" he said jokingly, Septimus chuckling. "I wasn't aware one must dress a certain way to befit the title of Dark Elf" he said. "You don't. It never hurts to look the part though. Makes your disguise all the more convincing....And less prone to being put under scrutiny" said the King with a smirk. "I had a feeling you'd find out about that. Have to admit though, it was satisfying to see that boy scramble away in terror. If that's the way most Dragons get reacted to, I can imagine why some of the more evil ones seemed to do it for fun" responded Septimus with a chuckle, the King smirking. "Keep in mind that while one may scramble away, many may shoot at you. Your size and power would mean little with a Ballista bolt jammed through your chest" said Antar, Septimus nodding. "I am unfortunately quite aware of it. I have more than once been in the sights of a ballista. Actually got to be good at catching them on certain occasions" said Septimus with a shrug. "Impressive. Anyway, enough with the banter. I believe its time we resumed your training. You are good for a beginner, but without practice you will swiftly fold under pressure"...

Vix hesitated a moment longer, then steeled herself and took Andruil's hand. "I don't know if I'll get quite that used to it," she said, pulling herself onto Myrn's back and waiting for the inevitable takeoff. As she did so, Aviva gave a low growl and leaped skyward, Rowan giving a wild war cry as they took off. Right behind her was Zar, the red dragon drawing his head back as if to breathe fire and giving a low, bloodthirsty growl. The two dragons quickly gained altitude, their wing muscles working tirelessly as they flew.

Unbeknownst to the dragons and their riders, a pair of gray eyes was watching them from the ground, the man they belonged to folding his arms across his chest. He's riding dragons now, he thought, giving a shake of the head, an unusual expression twisting his lips. It wasn't quite a smile or a smirk, but a bittersweet, almost proud look. I never thought I'd see it....if he's alive though...his mother must be too. Hope, sharp as a needle, stabbed his heart as he turned away to continue his search.

Cyris had recovered from her wounds slightly by now, and she was as agile as before. She jumped from tree to tree, dashing through the branches. She would stay awake for days if she had to...

Icil yawned a little.

"I shall continue my story tomorrow, I need to sleep..." she said, starting to walk up the stairs...

The following morning, Radamand knelt in silence before the idol of Soel. Jiier had not been seen since entering the temple the night before. Tzeentch continued to meditate, as still as a statue, in a secluded room inside the temple. The signs of life surrounded the shrine once more, the morning birds still very much an active presence, even in such a dreary place. Although the rain clouds had since left, the darkness was almost looming over the forest at this point, giving it a perpetual sense of cloudiness. Time was running out, and they were still awaiting the arrival of more allies...

The Blood Omen spent the night out on the hammer, watching through cobalt eyes the disappearance of the stars and the moon. He used the waning hours learning how to contain his energies, seizing his control through intense meditation. It was only the obscured light of dawn that broke his concentration. The reach of the blackness was just overhead. Desrium gripped the Lance of the Justicar and rose from the hammer. His gaze to the blocked out heavens, he gathered his power and directed it into the oppressive blanket, the beam of mana shining brilliantly...

...and yet its light was swallowed up in the billowing abyss looming above.

He fell lightly onto the monument, eyes red once more. His light could not keep the shadows at bay. He began to question his vow to Inarius.

Nitsunobue had stayed aler the whole evening. The titan watched over the shrine with almost the same attentiveness as the giant Radamand had. The wyvern sniffed the air, checking if any new scents had come. He smelled none. Sighing, Nitsunobue lumbered over to Radamand, the horned wyvern locking his gaze onto the massive guardian.

"When we move out, giant?" the wyvern asked in his usual tone...

The storyteller from the day before had headed down to the lower story of the Inn, getting his usual meal. Kard had also come down this morning, the warrior checking he had all his tools ready...

The time had finally come for Draco to make his announcement. The young knig had gotten up early this morning. Clad in his armor, he had made sure to awaken Immanis and alert the guards of his plans. It was serious business today- serious business to make sure his people did not betray him or Zazikel. The king soon marched out of his palace, ready to give his speech this morning...

Radamand's fiery eyes opened, the giant standing as he turned to regard the wyvern. "When all is ready. If we proceed unprepared, death is assured," he boomed, staring at the wyvern unblinkingly. The light that always seemed to shine into the chamber which held the idol barely managed to do just that, though much dimmer than it had been the previous day.

Icil walked down the stairs, awaking from her sleep after the night had passed. The crimson in her wings had not lost its vividness once they stretched open, staying open is if she were preparing for flight. Despite this, Icil did not take to the skies. Her wings were just open for the moment. The succubus sat down in a chair, prepared for the day...

Nitsunobue nodded to Radamand.

"Hope we get more allies soon... don't want Archdemon's master to win. That bad for all of us," Nitsunobue growled, adding an accent of disgust as he grumbled out 'Archdemon'. The wyvern glanced off to the side for a moment, before he looked back into Radamand's fiery gaze. "Know if there any others?"

Kard turned to Icil, the warrior currently sharpening one of his blades.

"Have a good night's sleep, young adventurer?" the warrior asked.
