"Well... I said that I wanted to explore all of Aster... that wasn't the real reason... there's a corrupted elf... her name is Cyris... Cyris the Unknown. She kills people and steals their soul through a crossbow and dagger, and has been hunting for me ever since she first saw me. Cyris is too deadly for either of us to take on, which is why I asked the storyteller about Soul Calibur and Soul Edge; so I can stop Cyris and save both myself and life upon Aster." the succubus said, her wings wrapping around her body like a hug's embrace...

Kard placed a big, burly hand on Icil's shoulder.

"It's okay, Icil- I understand fully where you are coming from. I ran into a similar problem in my younger days... but that is unimportant. I shall help you find the blade you seek. Come; I'll see if I can get the storyteller to help us. He probably knows the ways to find the swords... though he claimed that yesterday that they are lost to the world, he has hinted that somehow he knows the ways to both...."

"But what if Cyris finds Soul Edge? She's corrupted enough without its power, and if she finds both swords..." Icil said in a distraught tangent, going off into the thought of Cyris unleashing the power of both of the blades upon Aster...

"That is why we must get to them first," Kard replied. "If this Cyris gets ahold of either blade... it can be bad for all of us. She sounds dangerous enough as it is, but with the power of either of the swords, she'll be almost unkillable... at least by mortal standards."

Kard soon headed inside of the Inn, hoping Icil followed...

Arsenic turned to help Rowan down from Aviva's back, the tiny woman putting her hands on his shoulders to steady herself as she jumped down. She shook back her dark hair and turned to look around. The other assassins soon joined them, Dante inclining his head to Arsenic and asking in a murmur, "You've met him before?" Arsenic glanced at his friend and replied, 'Yes. Don't worry; he won't eat you.' An amused look crossed his face, returned by a puzzled one from Dante.

The succubus followed Kard into the in, her wings still wrapped around her body. Icil's eyes were closed as she sighed lightly, still thinking about the outcome of Cyris obtaining the swords...

Meanwhile, many miles away from the shrine, deep in the ancient forest, Jiier sat in silence at the top of one mighty tree, staring into the darkened sky with a blank expression. The simian had been there all night, not meditating, but simply sitting in utter silence. At first, even in his disillusioned state, he was wary of the spirits that haunted the area. But after uneventful hours on top of the tree, he stopped caring....about everything.

Desrium tucked the brass compass back into his robe and looked up at the blotched horizon, hearing a soft voice off to his side as he did so. He turned his head to look, for an instant seeing a feminine figure standing on the hammer in the corner of his red gaze. The figure seemed to be fitted with armor, though tattered, broken and thoroughly stained so that cloth was withered and black. She disappeared from the armored being's peripherals seconds after. "Spirits" he thought, grasping the gold and silver spear. Desrium let himself drop from the monolithic hammer head, landing in a crouch at the base. He then walked around it and made his way towards the giant stone corridor leading into the temple.

Cyris's wounds were slightly improving on getting healed; the elf's skin had less cuts than she had after the encounter with the wyvern. She continued to leap across the leaves, landing on each branch in a crouch. Little to her knowledge, she was in for a surprise...

Without a word, the simian removed his hooded robe and tossed it carelessly on a nearby branch, revealing his armored form once again. Jiier continued to stare off into the horizon with half closed eyes, resting his chin on the palm of one hand, uncaring and silent.

With Septimus's new appearance recovered from, Andruil's gaze shifted to the giant, and then to....the wyvern, standing before him. Wonderful he thought, mind suddenly alot more worried about the stability of this group. He still wasn't over the beast's rampage earlier. It was a setback fresh in his memory, even though his wounds had long since healed. He was tempted to speak out against the beast's presence, its previous instability making it a risky thing to have on the allies' side during a war that could mean the life or death of every living being in Aster, but he respected the authority of those here. He was quite sure that the giant was a being of considerably more power than anyone else here at that moment. The sheer energy flowing off the being was phenomenal. Even a being not that attuned to magic could feel it...

"Beware the creatures in the forest, Tetto. There are entities in there that would make Lustria's forests and swamps seem like a nobleman's garden" warned Septimus as the skink departed, before turning to the others. "Tetto'eko's gone to be with his people" said the Scholar as he approached, noticing the glowing eyes of the Stormweaver watching from his perch on one side of the temple platform, silent as a stone...

"Septimus," Radamand's commanding voice called from the stairs of the temple. "A word," he requested, though he remained as still as a statue.

Septimus glanced up at the Giant, nodding before he turned to the others. "If you'll excuse me" he said simply, before making his way to the staircase, ascending the steps, stopping before the giant, looking up at him with a questioning look, knowing he needn't ask, the giant undoubtedly about to answer the unspoken question...

Aviva and Zar, freed of their riders, padded off to stretch out in a spot that was out of the way. Zar crouched as if he were about to pounce, his black eyes watching the wyvern warily. Its presence here was enough reason for him not to relax his guard entirely. Aviva folded her wings against her sides and regarded the giant with a curious tilt to her head. its presence was a formidable one - auma rolled off of it in waves. Her instincts warned her to err on the side of caution around it. Vix began to wander, arms folded casually across her chest, taking everything in. The elven woman still wasn't sure how well her back would hold out in the fight - but she'd keep fighting for as long as she could.

"I require the artifact that was given to you by the elves that dwell within the desert," Radamand stated in a quieter tone, though his voice was still quite jarring.

The armored being climbed the the steps with the Lance of the Justicar resting on his shoulder, disappearing into the passage way and moving through the chamber beyond. He felt as though he should be training himself, but saw no point in doing so. The cusp of the battle for Aster was at hand, there was nothing he could learn- no skill he could sharpen- in such a short time. He was told he achieved much since he was thrown from the depths of the ocean; time would tell if it was enough for the undertaking ahead.

"I see" said Septimus, reaching a hand back into his satchel, before pulling out a dark, blackish orb, swirls of fogged out golden light seeming to writhe with in, Septimus's fingertips glowing a faint bluish purple hue as the Eye of the Afreet stuck to them, Septimus handing the orb to the giant...

Radamand took the orb gently, the object quite small in his enormous palm. His fingers wrapped around the artifact as his eyes flared brightly, the giant looking up toward the sky. "The time of action has come. All leading members of the assembled armies are to bring themselves to the shrine immediately. If mages are present in your forces, they must send a representative as well," the giant's voice boomed in the minds of every sentient creature around the shrine for miles, the being's hair waving rapidly as if in a strong wind, his expression unchanging. After the message was delivered, Radamand's appearance returned to normal, and he handed the orb back to Septimus.

"And so it begins."

Nitsunobue let out a low growl. At long last, he could have his revenge, and save this world from this scourge!

Draco soon arrived before his people, whom had been gathered in the central square in Freyr-Lunge.

"Brothers, sisters, comrades in arms- I come to you with an important message. I have been contacted by our lord and protector, Greshlynk! He has sent us an emissary, who shall oversee us and protect us from harm! This dragon is named Zazikel, and represents the darkness of the night. But do not fear him- his purpose is one of protection and purpose, not bloodshed and chaos. My people.... when a great black dragon makes himself visible to you all, do not show fear, for he is Zazikel, Emissary of Greshlynk and dragon of the night!"

A cheer erupted from the crowd as a smiel stretched across Draco's face. Excellent...

Kard soon entered the Inn.

"Hey, you," he said, pointing at the storyteller. "I need you. This lady here's looking for the swords, and needs your help."

The storyteller's eyebrow rose, before he turned to Icil.

"Is this true, young adventurer? Do you seek the blades of legend?"

Soon, the dark monsters, the shadowreavers of the forest, had passed around areas they sensed great holy power in, and had made it to the edge of the great forest. All made sure to spread out and hide amongst the trees, being wary of the sunlight's deadly rays, and watching for passerby that they could, perhaps feed upon. Dhoulmagus commanded them to await his return, as the dream eater, still in the form of an eagle, flew back to Draxon with haste. Zazikel would be pleased...

"It is, sir... I do seek the blades. I need to stop someone from killing all of Aster with Soul Calibur and Soul Edge, and if she finds them first, we might not have a chance." Icil said quietly, unwrapping herself from her wings...

Cyris continue to run among the trees, her soul tiger following her on the forest floor...
