The Blood Omen appeared once again in the great stone corridor, the coral adorned giant's message offering a suitable distraction from his thoughts and the agitation from being amidst wandering souls. The gathering had grown in his short absence. Unsurprisingly, he saw the Zuppolandian representatives standing among the others, Bardia laying down a few feet behind the two. When he appeared with Septimus at the submerged city-state, he was fully ignorant of his deep ties to Zuppoland. It was only now that he was able to look upon the general and truly see where he originated. It was only now that he knew...fully, his many trespasses against the place of his birth... and his desperate attempts to belong to a society from which he was an outcast. The Blood Omen's own armor reflected this wish, though cursed as he was, it was a fleeting dream that would never come true.

Lord Kroak, along with the Skink Priest arrived at the shrine quickly, taking positions before Radamand. Though the Relic-Priest's power paled in comparison to an immortal, the aua of power around him was still remarkably easy to feel. The Skink, still perched on his Terradon, seemed to speak for the mummified Slann. "I am Ten-Zlati, Oracle of the Venerable Lord Kroak. I am the mighty Relic-Priest's vessel to carry his divine will..."

"Considering I am both leader of the great nation of me, and not a leader at all, I shall go too!" Discord announced dramatically, though it was obvious he wasn't waiting for an invitation when he immediately zipped off towards the shrine...

"Citizens of Draxon," Zazikel boomed, his voice effectively silencing the crowd. "Today is the day of reckoning for your people! Greshlynk has decreed that your nation is worthy of his divine attention! At my command, your armies will wipe away the taint of this land, restoring... true peace..." Even for an Archdemon, it was hard to keep his composure after such a blatant lie, but then again, Demons were the masters of bending the truth...

Cyris managed to escape the tall trees of the forest, reaching a smaller, more common type of wood. The elf then leaped off of the branch she was currently on, landing on the forest floor in a crouch. She had her eyes on a large bear that was roaming throughout the forest...

"Here we go..." Vix murmured, giving a low sigh. The tension, the anticipation, was so thick in the air she almost felt like she could feel it weighing on her shoulders. This was it. She turned to Arsenic, wondering if he would represent the assassins, but he made no move to step forward. He met her gaze with a familiar stubborn set to his jaw. Arsenic had never set out to speak for their entire guild and decide what they should do. He had never wanted a position of leadership, and had never fought to be better than the others...only better than he had been on his last mission. Vix had always respected that choice - but maybe now it was time for him to put aside his personal feelings on the matter. She set her hand on his shoulder and squeezed gently, trying to convey that she was here for him without words.

It wasn't long before Bolthammer, his sentinel bodyguard, and the leader of the goblin mages strode into the courtyard as well. Normally, as a goblin, Bolthammer would feel intimidated by the sheer size of the creatures around him, but with Lucifron at his side, he wasn't worried. "If any of you need weapons and armor, don't you worry! The goblins of the Steelcup Cartel have come prepared! For only a small donation of gold, you too can be outfitted in the finest of goblin smithing!" Bolthammer announced loudly, gesturing dramatically toward the goblin camp down in the forest below. Shortly after, the viking man Desrium and Jiier had met in Vanguard arrived, flanked by two burly bodyguards, though they all looked quite cheerful.

It was then that Tzeentch descended the stairs of the temple, appearing before the assembled parties. "The fate of Aster will be decided in mere hours. You all must know our plan, and your parts in it," the changeling announced, her voice amplified loud enough to be heard by all those assembled in front of her. "We are to face a threat like no other. The scorned father of all of Aster has returned. He cares nothing of the life he once protected," she continued, pointing with a robed arm toward the encroaching darkness. "Eredar, God of Shadows, has come to claim what is his."

"But all is not lost," Radamand cut in, his voice booming over the courtyard. "The gods have not forsaken you, children of Aster. Soel, Mistress of Storms, believes this land can be saved. They watch over us. We cannot fail."

Tzeentch nodded approvingly to the giant. "We have devised a means to rid our home of this blight. The very essence of magic, the ley lines that stretch throughout the world, will be the conduit of our wrath," the elemental explained, extended her hands out in front of her, as a miniature jagged landscape appeared, made of pure energy. At the center was a massive crater, shrouded in darkness. "This is where the Traitor resides. It is the duty of the mages to gather and redirect the ley energies into the enemy of all life. It is the duty of the rest to protect them while they work."

Small figures appeared in their hundreds of thousands on the little display, filling the spaces between three massive cliffs, as well as lining the cliffs themselves. At the center of the jagged pieces of land were circles of spellcasters, channeling what represented the ley energies into the center of the crater. "One group cannot succeed without the other. The Traitor himself may be suppressed as he is attacked, but his legions of the damned will attack unabated," Tzeentch continued, as a gargantuan horde of creatures appeared opposite to the cliffs, surrounding the blackened crater in their unimaginable multitudes. Due to the nature of the shattered land, the passages the would-be defenders were blocking were the only means to access the cliffs on which the spellcasters worked.

"Eredar's influence will be felt. You will all be tested, mentally and physically. You must remember what you are fighting for. You must remember that whatever he offers you, whatever he threatens you with, will be your demise if you concede," the changeling explained, her tone deadly serious. "And you must never- and I mean never -take the ley energies into yourself. This is not the mana you feel around you, or even the mana experienced at the Mana Wells. This is untamed, raw energy. No one, mortal, immortal, or god, can tame such power. You must instruct your kin to channel it and nothing more. To try and command it will be your own demise."

The orcs of Gorgoroth awaited Mara and Akuro's command, the corpse of Burzum still resting in the courtyard, birds picking away at the corpse. No one had even bothered to move it in the day that passed...

The storyteller nodded.

"Don't worry, we all have our flashbacks to unpleasant things," he replied.

Kard walked over to the two of them, handing both a peice of bread.

"We might as well eat now. Once we get in those tombs, god knows how long we'll be stuck there looknig for either of them, or if we run into something else..."

A cheer broke out from the men and women gathered in the streets. With a gesture of his hands, Draco, soon summoned the many legions that had gathered in Draxon over the past week or so. More than 20,000 men had been gathered from all across Draxon's world, each and every one of them fully armored and geared up for combat.

"Now go, my allies!" Draco bellowed. "Prepare for battle! Upon this field, the enemies of Greshlynk shall be purged! You shall carry out our lord's will, and destroy those HEATHENS for defying Greshlynk's wishes!"

An almost bestial roar engulfed the courtyard. The peopel of Draxon were suitably energetic, and the soldiers were ready to die for Zazikel's name. Yet Draco couldn't help but feel sorrow for betraying his people's faith for Zazikel's own gain....

A winged beast soon approached Zazikel, feathery form soaring quickly in his direction. It was Dhoulmagus in his disguise.

"My lord..." Dhoulmagus said. "I have failed to coax Trajan to our side... but I have found us a greater ally. Come, and I shall show you..."

Nitsunobue hung out on the ouskirts of the group, listening to the plans. This was not going to be a fun battle... not at all... especially with Anarchy fringing in his mind, who knew what Eredar could do to him...

"Yeah... flashbacks to unpleasant things..." Icil repeated, taking the piece of bread gently, blinking for a moment. The scarlet in her wing membranes faded to a dull maroon, as if to show that she was in a state of darkness. Rattlebones snorted as he climbed off of the rock, shaking himself a little. The skeletal wyvern nudged Icil once, as if to help her. The succubus then took a small bite of the bread, sitting onto the ground, her membranes retaining their normal color slowly...

Cyris could hear discussion. The elf slowly walked towards the source of the sound...

Kard took a good sized bite of his bread, watching Icil and noting the change of color in her wings. The storyteller was consulting his map, checking that they were in the rigth palce and were currently travelling in the right direction. It a beautiful day outside. The sun was blazing, the birds were flying about, and the wind whistled in the trees were they had landed; it was simpyl majestic. But this majesty remidned him of Icil's troubles, and what she had told him of Cyris' goals of destroying all life. Kard soon spoke, hoping his question wouldn't be too prodding.

"So who or what exactly is this 'Cyris'?" the proud warrior asked toe young adventurer.

"Cyris is an elf that was corrupted by dark magic, who soon afterwards killed her entire village's population, including the women and children. She seeks to devour my soul in order to obtain my necromantic powers in order to combine them with her own so she can create an entire army of undead to serve under her will." Icil explained, her membranes suddenly changing from maroon to mahogany. This explained that her wings would change colors with her emotions, and currently Icil was somewhat serious... too serious for her personality.

Cyris heard her name mentioned, along with her plans, which meant she would need to assassinate Icil's allies. Now. The corrupted hunter loaded her crossbow, jumping into a tree with a quiet rustle of the leaves and prepared to take aim...

Both the Storyteller and Kard noted the rustle of the leaves in a tree, but felt that it was nothing important and went back to what they were doing.

"I see," Kard replied. "So that is why we must keep her from finding the blades as well... then, she'll have more than enough power to raise an entire army, and then some."

The older man could feel an odd presence nearby... his magical prowess allowed him to sense things normal people couldn't feel or see... but he was hesitant to call it out. it did not seem like too much of a threat at the moment. Nonetheless, the older man got to his feet and readied his walking stick, almost akin to how one holds a staff...

Cyris shot at the group, nearly hitting the old man's arm as it flew into a nearby tree.

"Damn it!" the huntress elf whispered, reloading her crossbow to take another shot.

"Speak of the devil!" Icil barked in an alarmed tone as she hid behind Kard, her wings wrapping around her body again like earlier. Rattlebones roared at the sudden attack, readying himself for a battle...

The storyteller nearly fell over from shock as the bolt whizzed past his arm. Immediately, the tip of his walking stick became aglow with magic. Actign quick, A bolt of lightning fired out from the old man's tool of choice, the golden bolt slicing through the air like a sword cutting through flesh as it tore through a branch near Cyris...

Kard immediately hopped to his feet, slinging his shield off of his back as he drew his short, but broad, blade. He turned to Icil.

"Go and find somewhere to hide, Icil! We'll hold her off..." the proud warrior growled as he turtled forward, shield protecting his head...

Arashi listened intently. He had seen the power of Eredar firsthand. He had felt the energy emanating from him, even without so much as reaching out to it. He knew the dangers posed if he were to risk manipulating such energies. He was left to decide however....His power would be of great use to the mages in suppressing Eredar....but it would also be invaluable to the soldiers that would defend them. He had the ability to wipe out legions of soldiers if the need arose...but that would cost the mages a considerable amount of power in suppressing the real threat. "What of those of us capable of serving on either front? Are all mages to suppress Eredar, and leave the soldiers to face the legions themselves?" he rumbled lowly, drawing some attention away from the Changeling, the Stormweaver perched on one of the corners of the platform upon which the temple stood...

Septimus glanced at Desrium, then considered the thusfar absent Jiier. Both were capable of immense destruction on a battlefield. Quite likely more than he could muster himself. Where was he to stand?

Antar watched calmly, listening intently to what was being said, already knowing his place in the battle. He glanced sideways at the watery soldiers of Zuppoland, neither of which spoke, knowing their role, though interested to see how the Changeling would respond. Knight Commander Alexander stood patiently, already mapping out a plan of attack for his own troops. Andruil meanwhile began considering his options. He would be on the front lines, clashing with the beasts head on. As powerful as his werewolf form was, he'd prefer to stick to focused, tactical combat rather than raw power. Not to mention some of the people fighting at his side wouldn't know he was a werewolf, unless he was fighting amongst the Valenhadian forces..

"I suppose it would depend on the amount of spellcaster at our disposal, and whether or not the individual believes they can take up the task of channeling the ley energies," Tzeentch explained calmly. "If you do not think your power is sufficient for the task, then it is best you serve elsewhere."

Cyris grinned as she leaped from the tree, eyeing Kard and the storyteller.

"Well, looks like we have two against one. That isn't too fair, now is it?" Cyris beamed, her eyes glowing a crystalline shade of green as she whistled, her soul tiger arriving by her side with a loud roar. Rather than commanding to attack the old man and the warrior, she pointed at Icil, the spirit of the beast charging for the succubus with a snarl...

Kard bullrushed Cyris, figuring that he wouldn't be able to harm a spirit, leaving the spectral creature to the Storyteller. Acting fast, the old man's staff fired off another bolt of lightning, the electric power slicing through the spirit and leaving an aura of power in its wake...

The warrior came in fast and fierce towards Cyris, the warrior lunging shield first before he brought his blade down towards her in a downward motion...

Both Guame and Djinn, whom had made their way to where the rest of the leaders were, listened to the shapeshifter's plan. Both were caught off-guard by what she had to say, Djinn especially. Never had she thought anything like this would be possible. Guame himself merely soaked it in and thought, both unaware of the shrike perched on a nearby branch, the bird listening in carefully as it now hung upside down on the branch, transforming into a bat subconciously as it listened to the old woman's words...

Akuro, deciding that the time was right, moved up from the throne and headed down to where Mara was...

At the castle in Tristan, Trajan had gotten very little sleep. The report he had gotten from Byakuren and Dione about the lakeside was sending shivers down his spine as he sat at the dining table. Apparently, a new stream had opened up connecting the lake to a nearby one, and with it had come a kind of fish that hadn't been native to the lake before... a large, 3-foot species of Piranha that had wrecked the ecosystem of the lake. These fish, unlike their counterparts in other parts of Aster, preyed on anything that moved, including humans. Trajan didn;t want to think about the issue, especially on the appearance of the fish that Byakuren had brought in, the carnivorous beast still alive and flailing, gnashing teeth last night. To think that he had planned on taking a swim in that lake last night...

Cyris parried the sword with her dagger, following by hitting Kard's face with her elbow, intending to stun the grizzly warrior. However, the soul tiger reformed from a blue haze before the old man, snarling in rage as it pounced onto him with a mighty roar, having the surprising weight of a living tiger, rather than a ghostly beast...

Kard took the elbow to the face, but he shook the blow off and countered with a powerful bash with his shield, the blow causing Cyris to stumble off of her feet and onto the ground.

"It'll take more than an elbow to the face to bring me down!" Kard bellowed as he struck forward in a thrusting motion with his sword, keeping his shield clsoe to his body to protect his neck and chest...

As the soul tiger came down upon him, The old man's form was suddenly engulfed in a cloak of electricity. The soul tiger's assault led to it being shocked by magical bolts of lightning. While the magic cloak did its work, the Storyteller was still hurt gravely by the massive beast's impact; he was sturdy for an old man, but he was still an old man nevertheless. He wasn't built to take this kind of punishment anymore....

"Didn't you ever learn that it's not polite to hit a lady?" Cyris growled as she stood, kicking Kard's stomach and hitting him with the butt of her crossbow. The elf intended to get a good hit with her dagger, mainly in the stomach or neck. Meanwhile the beast snarled as it was shocked violently. It let out a snarl as it jumped back, shaking its ghostly fur and running for the old man again, its claws prepared for a devastating slash and its fanged maw open and ready to rip its victims apart...
