Sammael no doubt heard what Andruil had said, but he didn't move, only circling his target cautiously, drool dripping from his jaws. Most of his "children had turned their attention to Bassunka, as a result of his obvious melee prowess. The one he had cleaved in two twitched and spasmed, trying to reconnect itself, before falling still. Three more of the Hellhounds roared and charged him from different directions, like a horrific fusion of reptile of ape...

Discord huffed to himself, then flew in a random direction. This was obviously an illusion, which meant there was a way to break it. Who knew? Better than sitting around...

[Murloc Tyrannus]

Rattlebones snarled, ramming his head into the wall, finally killing Spiritjaw with the force between his skull and the wall, let alone the several horns skewered through the tiger. The wyvern shook the limp soul off of him and let out a triumphant roar...

Cyris could hear the roar of a wyvern. Also, she could hear the fighting had stopped. Spiritjaw was dead. The elf's eyes flashed once. She felt a need to... kill. She climbed back down into the first floor, pulling out her dagger, confronting Rattlebones quietly. The wyvern had no idea what he was about to go through. Cyris sneered a jagged grin, her fanged mouth adding a fearsome look to her appearance. The huntress walked towards Rattlebones, her dagger ready to do some serious damage...

[The Kingpin]

Bassunka swung the staff downwards, the head hitting the ground and pole-vaulting him over the incoming attackers, landing behind them as they charged, before swinging the staff horizontally, the razor-sharp blade cleaving through the hindquarters of one...


"Lost that momentary bout of courage, I see. Ah well" commented Andruil as he paced with the Hellhound, not letting it circle him, while simultaneously forcing it to keep its distance...

[Murloc Tyrannus]

Before Rattlebones could turn around, Cyris slammed her dagger into the beast's eye socket. The wyvern roared, swinging his tail at the now insane huntress, only to be stopped by a quick bolt to the skull. Rattlebones fell over before letting out a weak call for help.

Icil could point out Rattlebones's sounds. She was curious of what was going on...

Kard turend to the loud roar of Rattlebones. He drew he blade.

"want to go check it out?" Kard asked Icil. Ivan soon strode by them, moving quite fast for a man of his age, carrying his staff two-handed.

Nitsunobue growled. "your move, Archdemon. It is only fair." Hopefully he wouldn't regret those words...

The Greater Shadowreaver bellowed with anger and pain, his primary target being the manticore. With surprising strength, the eldritch beast shoved the Manticore away from himself, giving him some breathing room, as he reached up with his remaining hand, grabbing Antar in it. The demonic titan locked his red gaze with the general's, purplish blood, dripping down from his mangled head and face, as his grip tightened, threatening to crush
Antar like a bug.

"CAGRAK, POTH'UN R'LEH! (mortal, surrender to me!)" The beast said as its grip became nightmarishly strong...

[Murloc Tyrannus]

Icil nodded in concern, headed for the door. She was in for a surprise...

Cyris's plan was working. Once she lured the fools out, she would proceed to sneak into the catacombs and prepare her perfect ambush from there. The elf grinned as she loaded her crossbow. She was going to kill these lummoxes, even if she would have to die to do so herself...

Ivan went in front of Icil, the older man's staff sparking with energy. Kard went beside the old man, willing to protect Icil with their lives. Kard also puleld out his shield, keeping it ready for the right time...

[Murloc Tyrannus]

Cyris stood on the staircase to the second floor, holding her crossbow in one hand and her dagger in the other, glaring at any who entered. The elf smirked, waiting for the group to exit the catacombs...

As the door revealed what had happened behind it, Icil gasped, her eyes full of tears, running to Rattlebones in sorrow and grief, hugging the creature's skull.

"Like the present I left you, demon?" Cyris sneered, her fiery eyes flickering as she asked the question.

"You... you *******!" Icil shouted as black flames started to surround her, her eyes going blank, her wings growing larger. She was taking on a whole new form...

Ivan's eyes became an odd shade of color, almost glowing in the poor light of the ancient tower. His body form became hunched, looking almost like a beast, his face growing grim and pale in color. Oddly, his nails and teeth seemed to have grown longer as well. Kard was bit horrified of his two partner's seemingly evil transformation.

"I! HAVE HAD ENOUGH! OF YOUR TROUBLEMAKING! YOU WILL DIE!"

With reckless abandon, Ivan lunged towards Cyris, his hands becoming enwrapped with red magic, the formerly friendly old man's irises now glowing a deep crimson...

[Murloc Tyrannus]

"I WILL NOT DIE UNTIL I AM FINISHED WITH YOU, FOOL!" Cyris roared as she fired a bolt into the beast's shoulder, then leaping off of the stairs, landing in a crouch...

Meanwhile, Icil continued to transform into her darker side, her horns increasing in size. She was becoming a true demon...

The Arrow seemed to do little to Ivan other than make him hiss at Cyris, the man tearing the bolt out like it was nothing. Suddenly, a pair of fleshy, leathery wings burst out from Ivan's back, tearing the clothing off of his upper torso. His ears grew more pointed, like an elf's and his maw became much larger, his teeth metamorphosizing into large fangs. His irises soon became blood red, and the whites of his eyes became bloodshot. With a growl, Ivan lunged once more, this time managing to land a blow on Cyris, clawed hands slicing into her chest.

Kard looked terrified of both his allies, approaching Cyris sword raised. A thought entered his mind. He had seen the beast Ivan had become before... yes, now he remembered.. it was in an old folk tale, about a.... no, could it be?....

[Murloc Tyrannus]

Cyris jammed her dagger into Ivan's back as he attacked, then ripping the blade out with sudden force, leaving a somewhat deep wound on the beast's shoulder blade. She then proceeded to claw at the creature herself, as Ivan wasn't the only one with claws.

Icil suddenly let out a large blast of dark energy with a loud whoosh. She was ready to fight...

Ivan let out a frightening scream of audible pain, the former spellcaster soon delivering a vicious backhanded strike to Cyris, knocking her backwards. Ivan snarled, before he lunged at Cyris like a quadruped beast, fangs bared...

Seeing that Ivan had Cyris covered up close, Kard put away his sword and shield and pulled out his bow, aiming for Cyris...

[Murloc Tyrannus]

Cyris got to her feet, dashing into the catacombs, attempting to escape the heroes. The huntress's eyes could be seen glowing through the darkened tunnels as she fired another shot, which hit Ivan's right hand, the speed of the bolt nearly tearing completely through the appendage.

"YOU VILE *****!" Icil snarled, blasting a fairly large orb of magic at the elf...

Ivan snarled, the former old man pulling the bolt out, the arrow stained with his blood, as he pursued Cyris. Kard fired at arrow at Cyris as she passed by, the arrow peircing the evil elf's shoudler as he ran into the catacombs...

[The Kingpin]

"La asbagh el-arth bidemik!" responded Antar in his own tongue through choked breaths, as he drove his blades into the monstrosity's hands, lessening the force of the beast's constricting grip, just as a stream of glowing red flames burned through its arm, freeing Antar as his Manticore mount plucked him out of the air, departing from the Shadowreaver as the bombardment on its unnaturally resilient form intensified, fireballs and beams of purifying magic striking from multiple directions simultaneously, Antar meanwhile gasping for breath, his chest burning with pain, the man drawing a vial from a pocket and downing its contents in a single gulp, tossing it aside as he went, cringing as the medical potion did its agonising work, beginning the process of realigning and repairing a couple of broken ribs...

Cyris disappeared into the catacombs, yanking the arrow from her shoulder...

Icil morphed back to her normal self. She then started to run into the catacombs, chasing the elf. She didn't care if she was weaker than Cyris. She wanted to kill her.

"I'll wear your face as a mask, you soulless buffoon!" Icil shouted...

[Godzilla Forever]

A cry erupted from the Shadowreaver, its eyes filling with sorrow, pain, and frustration, before it let out a thundering roar, as if it was making some sort of empty threat towards the Barari king. Soon, the Shadowreaver's form exploded apart, the monster letting out one last sentence in its dark language.

"B'TELNAAL.... GR'HTK KAI R'LEH! (comrades, I have failed you!)" the beast cried before its form disappaeared into the darkness...

Ivan soon reverted to his normal form, body bloodied and cut, the man collapsing on his hands and knees. Kard turned to him, but Ivan waved him off.

"I'll be fine. Go help Icil!"

Kard nodded as he put his bow away and drew his sword and shield, following the other two into the catacombs...

Icil was quite faster than Kard expected; in fact, she was even flying a few times rather than running. The angered hybrid dashed after the elf, pulling out her Skull of Necromancy. This was going to be a long and bloody fight...

Cyris soon came into a large, open chamber, strange symbols lining the ewalls, with engravigns telling the story of the life of the one buried in this chamber. Soon, an odd aura could be felt entering the room, before the lid of the sarcophagus was thrown off. A larg, burly corpse, form a bit dried from years of slumber, rose from the sarcophagus, a horned helm resting upon his head and a cloak of fur going down his back. In his hands was a large, two handed mace. The undead warrior growled almost bestially before he stomped towards Cyris...

"Wait, Icil! Stop before you get us both killed!" Kard shouted as he struggled to catch up, the warrior sprinting as fast as he could...
