The collective forces and leaders of the Zuppolandians, Valenhadians and the Desert Races turned to face the equine deity, their cheers falling quiet as she approached, mostly in awe and fascination. Alexander landed not too far from his brother, the two Valenhadian knights standing side by side as they watched Moria approach. seeing Radamand kneel, they swiftly followed suit, before soon, the entire Valenhadian army was kneeling before her. The Zuppolandians too, kneeled. The Desert Races however, did not have such a gesture in their culture, and though they mirrored it, they did not fully understand it, though they did realise it was out of respect...

Arashi soon descended from the cliff, gliding to the ground a few hundred feet ahead of the deity, landing softly as he lifted his head towards the approaching equine, a smile of relief aimed at the familiar figure as he lowered his head in respect. Septimus circled above, his every nerve itching for the destruction of the Stormweaver, though he felt an inexplicable flow of calm steadily washing over him as he descended. Deciding to wait till later to punctuate his fury on the larger dragon, he flew downwards, landing a few dozen yards from the Hueilin Experimentalist, not trusting himself to maintain his composure if he were any closer. Helping Desrium off, the young Hueilin then shifted his gaze at the equine deity, lowering his head in a bow of respect, if only for the fact he would not allow his father to be better than he, especially when most of the races assembled there had done likewise...

Desrium's boots sank into the dark soil which had soaked up the blood of a great many defenders. It made him think of the ancient forest. With his sensitivity to the realm of spirits, this bleak landscape held many unfortunate implications and the ley energy that charged the air tested him still. Despite this, he was mellow, quiet and at ease, almost as if he were meditating. At that, the wings of light folded, became one and disappeared into the Blood Omen's metal body. He rested the bottom end of the Lance of the Justicar on the ground and looked at whom he now served.

In unison, the entirety of the Lizardmen army, Tetto'eko included, dropped to their knees and bowed in a similar fashion to Radamand. The one exception was the Slann, who sat in stony silence, their faces unreadable as always. However, it was clear that they were, too, basking in the reverence of one of their gods, returned after so long...

Nitsunobue bowed as best as he could in respect to the giant, the horned wyvern's massive form hunching over and doing its best to mimic the other mortal race's bow. He recognized a respectable being when he saw one....

Even the Draxons, knowing fully well the heresy of their actions, bowed before Radamand in respect. The god that swirled and shined before them was not the Dragon-god.... but she had helped them to victory. And that was more than enough to earn their respect....

Finally, Cyris' endeavor proved successful. The helmet came off, but more than that was removed- her tugging tore the whole zombie's head off! Stumbling back, the undead swung its sword about blindly in a desperate attempt to protect itself....

"That does not matter now," the bug said, his voice sounding a bit off key for a moment. But, it soon returned to normal.

"Rise, champions. You need not show me such respect. I have not earned it," Moria called throughout the battlefield, her voice echoing, as if she was speaking in a cave. Her words were oddly calming as well. Graceful, polite, and otherworldly, all at the same time. "What you have done here today is beyond astounding. Your victory is unique in all the cosmos, but you have paid for the sins of our brother. You faced this threat alone, and for that I am truly sorry.

But our problems are not yet resolved. Although the power at his command has been destroyed, the one you call Eredar yet lives." the Dawnmother explained, her eyes flashing slightly as she observed the crater. Buried beneath the overwhelming presence of the ley lines lingered the Traitor God's essence, hidden in the absolute darkness of the pit. "In time, he will emerge once more...that much is inevitable. But we may yet hinder his progress."

"There is no way to outright destroy him, Dawnmother?" rumbled Arashi, the first to speak, though obviously not the first to consider the idea, the forces dotting the battlefield growing fidgety and restless, obviously not wanting this horror to be visited upon those that followed them...

In time, Desrium's attention shifted from the unicorn goddess to thoughts of his mentor. Though he had changed, he was still the Jiier who traveled across the land with him with only a vision to justify their quest. That much was evident when the shapeshifter faced down Eredar's aspects without hesitation to save the Justicar.

"I will be going now," The armored being said to Septimus, raising his spear from the ground. "I must find Jiier"

Desrium then began to navigate the crowd of soldiers, weaving through the expanse of warriors in search of his companion...

Nitsunobue growled, and turned to Arashi.

"Cannot kill god, only remove it. Hopefully, he not come back for long time."

The Draxons seemed... frightened by this prospect. The dark god could return agin? They had barely defeated him now, all of them, and it was purely out of luck. How woudl they defeat him a second time?....

"Go. I will find you once everything has settled" responded Septimus quietly, the visible cyan eye shifting down to eye Desrium for a moment, before returning its focus on Moria...

Arashi did not respond to the Wyvern, simply eyeing him with his piercing whitish golden eyes. He was tempted, though resisted the urge to retort. To such simple minded creatures, many things seemed impossible. For one who had traversed time itself, albeit almost at the cost of his life, the boundries of the possible and impossible were much less clearly defined...It was more a matter of what the price would be to achieve it, rather than whether it was possible. But when dealing with celestial beings of such immense power, the answer of possibility ultimately rested with the equine deity before him...

Moria bowed her head. "If it was possible, we would have done so in millenia past....for his sake, and for the sake of this world," the Dawnmother explained, raising her head to regard the assembled Asterians once more. "It will take time...hundreds of thousands of mortal years, perhaps. But he will regain his power, and he will not be as arrogant as he once was. I cannot remain on your world for such a time, though I wish I could," the celestial equine continued, turning her powerful gaze to the crater. "But there is a way to hinder his recovery. Perhaps, in that time, we may yet find a way to redeem him...and if not...destroy him."

"Hm...That is regrettable...But if there is a way to hinder his progress...What would you have us do?" responded Arashi after a few moments pause to consider the equine deity's words. several hundred thousand years was a long time. He feared the crimes he had committed against his kin, or the mission he had yet to fulfill would likely claim his life before the time came that he could help bring down Eredar a second time....But his son...Septimus...His methods didn't bring back nearly as much hostility on himself. Perhaps he could be the one to help lead the battle against the ancient when the time came...

With Arashi taking the role of the speaker for the other races, the other leaders didn't see the need to voice their own concerns. It was clear that he knew what they had in mind...

"What must be done is not something we ask of lightly. If a being of power- in both body and soul -condemns themselves to an eternity of battling with the Traitor's will, it may buy us the time we need," Moria explained. Although her words were with clear purpose, there was an emotional weight behind them that could not be ignored. The deity did not enjoy asking this of the Asterians...

"...That would take significant power to achieve such a feat. I don't think any being in Aster has the power to clash with a god's will" responded Arashi, his tone calm despite the weight of the request. There was no reading what was on his mind however, though Septimus knew there was bound to be something going on in the Experimentalist's mind. For once, he thought it wise not to question it. He would give himself to the cause in an instant, but he didn't know if he had the power to hold off Eredar's will himself, and did not want to hold the weight of the lives of every living being on Aster on his shoulders should he fail...

"Maybe so. I would do so myself...but I have other responsibilities to far off worlds, some yet to be brought into existence. Know that if I did not, I would not ask this of the denizens of Aster," the Dawnmother assured, looking upon the assembled Asterians. Although her presence remained calm, the pain of what she was asking was clearly felt in the aura that surrounded her.

"What kind of power would be required?" asked the Council Representative, his robes tattered and singed, though no other sign of damage could be seen on him, the man's eyes glowing brightly as ever. If need be, he knew each of the members of the Council would be willing to give their lives for the survival of future generations. But...how much would be needed to slow or stop a being of such power?

"Power of the mind, as well as the body. They must contend with the powers Eredar has retained even after his destruction, but their largest threat comes from his will. If they cannot resist him, he will over power them, and their sacrifice will be for nothing," Moria explained. Flowering plants and fields of grass continued to spread out from the equine's hooves, filling the desolate place with the signs of life.

"Is it even possible for a mortal being to have such power?" asked Alexander, voicing what most were thinking, a murmur of agreement spreading amongst the ranks of the soldiers across the battlefield...

"Do not be disheartened. Although a powerful being, much of Eredar's power has been destroyed," Moria echoed gently. "Such a task may be a formidable one, but not an impossible one."

"...So how do we choose which one of us to take up such a task?" called forth the voice of a Daavenian soldier, his light skin discolored with bruises and most of his armor replaced with bandages and rags wrapping around his badly beaten body. "How do we know who has the power to hold their own against a fallen god?" another asked, a woman in a similar state.

Desrium peered over the shoulders and heads of the assembled forces, spying draconic mounts a plenty, but not the black and red drake that was Jiier. Across such a vast area and among so many, this search would take a while...assuming the dragon had remained after the battle's end. It was fully possible that he had flown away to be left to his own devices...

"The Council of Mercutio is up to the task" said the Council representative as he stepped forward. Several more robed men also stepped forward, many of them from the Council, others of the Hukkamili warlocks and the Elder Council of Zuppoland. Before long, there were tens of them, all willing to put their lives forward for the sake of their loved ones. Arashi watched on with a mix of respect and concern. The men stepping forward, so eager to put forfeit their own lives for the sake of their countrymen were to be honoured, exalted by their peers. But he feared that what was yet to come in the wake of the Traitor would be more urgent, as there was no telling how much time was left. "Is there a time limit by which this sacrifice must be made?" inquired the Stormweaver...
