Ridley ducked, the Magna Guard flying past it's intended target and into the wall, the Space Dragon turned just as one of the missles slammed into him, he other one flew past and impacted the magna guard on the wall, engulfin gboth of them in explosions, Ridley emerged from the dust, eyes blood-shot with rage, the Space Dragon flew right at the cyborg, a stream of flames pouring from his mouth...

Grievous leaped straight up, the stream of fire passing directly beneath him, landing on Ridley's back as the Space Dragon flew closer. Stabbing one of his sabers into Ridley's flesh and using his sharply-taloned feet to hold himself on the creature, Grievous repeatedly slashed at Ridley's scales with his free saber, trying to do as much damaged as possible.

Unable to bear the pain, RIdley screeched in absolte agony, the screech briefly stunning Grevious, forcing the cyborg to loose his grp, Grevious plummets to the floor as the space dragon flies right at him, Ridley swings his tail at the droid leader...

Grievous rights himself in mid-air, landing on his feet, before rolling forward, dodging the tail smash. As the cyborg stood back up, he slashed Ridley's tail with a Lightsaber to try and sever the appendage before it became a thorn in his side...

Ridley, thinknig fast, swung his tail at Grevious's legs, tripping the cyborg over, the Space Dragon then lept back, launchnig a fireball at the droid commander...

Grievous rolled backwards to his feet, then did another leaping backflip, dodging the fireball as it slammed into the ground where he was standing earlier. Backing out of reach of Ridley, he crouched slightly, spinning his sabers threateningly...

I already don't like the fight.

One of them sprinted towards Ridley, leaping into the air and somersaulting impossibly high towards the alien, landing on his back and stabbing the electrified tip of the staff into Ridley's flesh...

I consider this a long attack. Generally, any attack that requires you to move into striking distance should be considered long, and as TT pointed out at the start, you can't state that these attacks hit the enemy, your supposed to leave them aimed AT the enemy as opposed to actually striking.

What I hate about the example above, is that it seems to assume Ridley sat still going <.> the whole time the magna guard was flying through the air doing flashy flips and so on.
You have to look at the context, if this was a magna guard attacking Ridley, while Ridley was concentrating on someone else, maybe pinning a different guard to the ground, then it would be ok, but here, Ridley is prepared for an attack and would be well capable of reacting before it hit.

by stating the attack hit, your ignoring Ridley's ability to defend himself, which is not fair.

Ridley backed up onto his hind feet, the space dragon snorted at the cyborg, then flew upward, Ridley then swoope ddown at Grevious, pulling up just as a fireball flew from the dragon's mouth...

OOC: You've got a point, but Ridley could simply be surprised by the fact that the MagnaGuard was able to jump so far and high in a single jump, and wasn't prepared for it to attack from above.

Grievous leaped up and over the fireball, which passed beneath him and slammed into the hangar floor. Grievous barely managed to slash Ridley's underside with an outstretched saber, before landing on his feet below the Space Dragon. He turned around and looked up at Ridley, still spinning his sabers and waiting for a counterattack...

Lets continue this after the battle, anyway. I've caused enough disruption as it is.

Ridley snarled in pain as the lightsaber cut through his underbelly, the Space Dragon flew upward, then dove downward, almost like a blur, Ridley snatched the cyborg in his hand, the space dragon flew at the nearest wall, arched his hand back, then smashed Grevious into the wall, the space dragon then began to fly around the perimeter of the wall while still pinning Grevious to it, a devilish smile spreading across Ridley's face...

Grievous coughed a few times, sparks flying off his armored backside, but he still had his arms free. Stabbing downward with both blade, he impaled Ridley's wrist, then slashed outward, trying to the creature's hand off...

Ridley screched in absolute agony, the lightsaber, while able to pierce his skill, was unable to cut off the Space Dragon's hand, Ridley let go of Grevious, the cyborg plummets to the ground, the space dragon yanks the lightsaber out of his hand, then dives after Grevious, a stream of fire spiraling out of the dragon's mouth and at the cyborg...

Grievous landed on his feet, tucked, and rolled forward, the stream of flame scorching the deckplates where he had landed. Spinning around, the cyborg pulled his blaster out with his free hand and fired a fully-charged blaster bolt at Ridley, the blue bolt moving too fast for something the size of Ridley to dodge...

Before Ridley could even dodge the bolt, the bolt hit the Space Dragon engulfing him in an explosion of fire and smoke, a fireball launches uot of the smoke, engulfing the cyborg in flames, the smoke clears revealing Ridley with a medium sized flesh wound on his chest, anger running through the Space Dragon's veins as he launched another fireball...

Grievous managed to put up a saber before the first fireball hit, knocking him backwards and scorching his armor, but otherwise leaving him unharmed as the second fireball hit where he had been standing. Getting to his feet, the cyborg pulled out another Lightsaber, coughing a couple times. "Why can't you just die?" he snarled, spinning his sabers as he watched Ridley warily...

Ridley circled around Grevious, phazon began to drool from the dragon's mouth. "I have managed to survive for hundreds of years from feasting off the bodies of the dead..." Ridley snarled as he began to beat his wings rapidly, the resulting gusts of wind blowing Grevious off his feet, the Space dragon swiftly followed with 3 fireballs...

With his supreme agility, Grievous rolled to his feet and began leaping and jinking from side to side, dodging the fireballs. The final one's explosion made him stumble, but did little else. "Come down here and face me like a true warrior," the cyborg snarled.

Ridley growled n irritation then landed infront of Grevious, the space dragon swiftly swung his tail into the cyborg's side, sending Grevious flying, Ridley then lept into the air, hoping to come down onto Grevious...

Grievous flipped backwards through the air, landing on his feet, before leaping straight up, letting Ridley land below him, before landing on his back, stabbing two sabers into the Space Dragon's back. Splitting his arms, he drew two more, using these to simply slash at the creature's weakened flesh...
