As the water entered the dragon's mouth, it immediately changed to ice, freezing the creature's maw shut, as well as threatening to choke it as the ice began to close off its throat. The other duplicates utilized the distraction, closing in on the dragon from all directions, hurling more icy spears at the creature, the ones already impaled onto the dragon's armor melting back to water after the damage was inflicted...

As ridley struggles to open his mouth, flames begin to surge through the beast's body, in an attempt to melt the ice. However, the damage having been done, Ridley gives off one final screech of pain begore his body begns to explode due to a failsafe installed into his brain, the body disintergrates as the once great Space dragon is finished off from all the damage...

The water duplicates reform some distance away to avoid the heat, H2O emerging from the ground, staring at what remained of the space dragon, before continuing with its original task: trying to sink Monster Island beneath the sea...

A good fight I guess. Granted, it was a d*ck move for me to pick H2O to use, considering he is largely immune to melee damage, and thats Ridley's strong point...but he also had H2O's weakness: Fire. Either way, good fight Gira.

yeah, it was a good fight... I figured that the only way to kill H20 was to drink him to death, but that turned out to eb RIdley's downfall...

That was a cool fight. Ridley choked to death and blew up. :P

Gira, good attempt but you weren't aggressive enough. After Ridleys initial attack, you completely backed off. You also failed to realise that while H2O wasn't directly damaged by melee strikes, he was most definitely affected by them.

Ridley should have used brute force and rammed H2O, preferably leading with a sweeping back hand, to stop him from impaling Ridley on an ice spike. Once H20 had been blown apart (turning to ice would have just resulted in him being shattered, and if he stayed as water, he would have been scattered) Ridley could have then followed up with his fire breath and done massive, maybe even fatal, damage. Water evaporates and ice melts MUCH easier when seperated than when in a single mass. By breaking H2O up, he would be made much more vulnerable.

Also it should be noted that in order to react properly, H2O needed to be formed up somehow, weither that just be a gushing pool of water or it's 'creature' form or many smaller forms. By smashing him with a melee attack, you would effectively prevent him from attacking back until he reforms. By the time H20 has created a form capable of retaliating (ie, a pool of water to turn into a pillar of ice, or a creature form to throw ice spikes) Ridley would be recovered and ready to counter ordefend against the attack

Instead of trying melee, then backing off and trying ranged, you should have combined the two. No enemy will ever be defeated by a single form of attack. You must overwhelm their defences with combinations.

In the case I just explained, Ridley could have used brute force to shatter H20's defence (make him vulnerable) then used his fire breath to land the actual damage.

TT, anything to add to that?

Not really, you pretty much hit the nail on the head with that.

The thing is, H2O can't really "die". Even if the water is turned to vapor, the vapor can turn back to water. However, Doc's theory would've easily won the fight, as H2O would soon retreat if he was unable to attack (via constant form change).

I thought punching would just result in your hand going into liquid, which would promptly freeze. Ya know...since the monster A: Has no organs and other organic function but lives B: Can change the shape of its body and C: Sustains mass without a skeleton to support its form

you know, its hard to think logically when you are in a place where logic doesnt apply

Imma stick my head in the paradox microwave, anyone with me? =D

Well, punching it wouldn't work no, but many characters have the ability to cut off limbs and such. Bladed weapons would work just as well on H2O as any other monsters, and limb cutting would happen much more frequently, considering its a minor inconvience to him, rather then a crippling blow.

Rather than punching him, I meant a full body blow. Imagine a piece of jelly. you could stab it, not doing much, or smash it with a base ball bat, splattering it all over the park :P

Spinnerax VS Gigan (Cold Steel)
Location: Summit of the Himalayas

Spinnerax stared at the blue skinned cyborg that floated before him in the midst of a blizzard. Some distance below were the peaks of the Himalayas. Infront of him was Gigan... the monster shared his blood red visor..but little else. The wasp cyborg's wings were a blur as they fluttered in the overcast of white... a battle was about to break out between him and another space demon again...

Gigan was observing Spinnerax, the creature having gotten his attention as he had been approaching a city. He saw how fast the insect's wings moved and knew right away that it was very fast. Deciding be the first to attack, Gigan fired a cluster ray from his eye at the second cyborg...

Spinnerax's body banked to the left suddenly, the wasp strafing out of harms way, his body leaving a black and yellow blur before he came to a stop. His horn had glowed brightly before a thin, red ray spiralled out of the strange structure...

Flying to the right, Gigan dodged out of the beams path. Instead of firing another beam, he instead released a pair of Razor discs from his shoulders, the weapons homing in on Spinnerax

Spinnerax revved up and swung a drill up into the oncomming discs, the spinning weapon shredding the discs as they slammed into it. The wasp suddenly flew forward, drill held high before he swung it back down at a diagonal over Gigan's chest as he passed, leaving a gash where the weapon hit, Spinnerax twisting around in mid air to face Gigan's back, slowing down until he was hovering...

Gigan snarled angrily from the slash, but it wasn't too deep. Teleporting, he reappeared directly above Spinnerax. Swinging his own claw down, he left a visible cut in the carapace of the wasp, before teleporting a second time, reappearing a fair distance behind this fast foe...

Spinnerax let out a warbling bellow before twisting around yet again, drills pointing back. A flash of gold suddenly went off, a golden streak trailing off from the wasp it seemed, as it suddenly rocketed at Gigan, the fabled vector beams making him effectively the fastest creature who couldnt teleport on the planet. As he flew at Gigan, Spinnerax's mandibles crackled as a Keizer beam began to manifest its energies, ultimately firing just as Spinnerax was about to collide with the evil cyborg. Gigan caught in the telekinetic beam, Spinnerax swung both drills about, slashing an X over Gigan's torso before launching Gigan to the snow capped mountains with a flick of his head, soaring off over head due to momentum...

Gigan let out an angered hiss from both the beam and the drills, but teleported before he hit the mountain and once more appeared above Spinnerax. Swooping down, Gigan allowed his Buzzsaw to cut into the insect's hide, then kicked it with both feet, sending it down toward the ground...

Spinnerax let out a low groan from the kick and the cut, but flipped about as he fell, firing the beam into Gigan's cut when he faced the cyborg, the ray burning deeper into the fresh wound, and causing surrounding flesh to blacken. Spinnerax twisted about again, getting upright, wings becoming blurs again as he slowed his fall to a hover...
