Gothmog quickened his pace now, the scent of the small herbivore getting closer. Suddenly, he sees a small group of them, and sprints as fast as his legs can carry him. The other Heterodontosaurs spot Gothmog and run, but the closest one, starts to react far too late. By the time it starts running, Gothmog had already wrapped his young giga jaws around its torso. It squeals with pain as it attempts to flee, before the yonug giga puts it out of its misery. Gothmog sets it down on the ground before he begins to dig voraciously into it...

Eradicus continues on towards the scents, moving quickly but cautiously towards where the giga and heterodontosaur are at. The young carchar made sure no other predators were around it as it headed on away from it's territory...

Aircrest licked his bloodied lips when he was finished with his morning meal, the compy barely more than bones at this point, with some snapped and mangled by the raptor's jaws. With his hunger and thirst appeased, Aircrest trotted off into the jungle, doing what he normally did to pass the time: wandering. In the three years of his life, Aircrest had been across a large part of the island, from the dense jungles to the wet swamps, from the flatlands to the highlands. He had even seen strange constructs covered in moss and plants. They were not rocks, no. They were...strange in shape, hard and had a strange invisable barrier incorperated with its hide. The only thing giving away its location were jagged white lines that stretched across it where ever there was a break. Their "feet" were drooping black...things, and most of them were encrusted in mud. He had also seen the dark gray spires to the north, green vines wrapping around them, and strange silvery vines laying on the ground, covered in moss. They seemed so...alien, as if they were not supposed to be part of the land, yet they were. It was a mystery that perplexed him, but there were no answers or explanation...

Steeltalon gave herself a shake and decided now was as good a time as any to hunt. She lived quite close to a game trail. While this meant herbivores too big to take down on her own were quite common, it also meant smaller ones followed the huge ones, hoping for treetop snacks dropped from above. The female set off at a steady trot, black feet swiftly eating up the distance as her stomach urged her on impatiently. Gallimumus were fast, but if she could catch even a small one she'd be fed for a few days. She just had to be careful. If she got injured, it could turn out to spell the end for her.

Stoneclaw and Howler were lucky this morning. It seemed Bladetooth was in a hurry, and mostly ignored the two raptors as he left Death Valley to go hunting. Not that Stoneclaw cared all that much. Even at the best of times, the Rex barely spoke to him, and even less so to Howler. For now, they would stay in the area, if only to keep out any smaller predators foolish enough to wander into the valley...

The female T-rex began to pace just out of reach of the wall of Edmontosaurs. Each step she took was chipping away at the nerves of the herd. It was only the fearlessness of the Bull that kept the herd from stampeding in terror. The large bull moved from the wall toward the T-rex, an act that signaled it didn't fear this smaller T-rex. The female Rex backed up abit, snarling at the large bull.

Behind the wall of adults, the young ones were busy playing with each other. THe largest of the young ones began to stray away from the protective wall, too occupied with grazing on the ferns on the ground to notice the approaching figure.

It was the last thing that juvenile would ever taste.

A pair of crocodilian-like jaws snapped shut on the neck of the juvenile Edmontosaurus, killing it instantly. The bite was quick and precise. No blood was spilt. Not a single sound was heard, other than the snapping of the neck, but even that was drowned out by the honking of the bull at the female T-rex. The entire wall of Adults were too busy trying to drive away this T-rex to notice the green Suchomimus dragging the dead body of the oldest young one off into the forest...

Darkness looked up after a few minutes more of rest, glancing quickly around the jungle edge that almost consumed the entrance to the cave, spotting nothing. That lummox is going to get himself killed one of these days...thinks he's got nothing to fear... the raptor thought to himself, though he was concerned, as he always was, when Crusher was away for long periods of time. He reasoned that the lazy creature had fallen asleep at the stream...but such a thought did little to dismiss the nagging worry in the dark raptor's mind.

a loud crash was heard just beyond the treeline, a series of frightened chittering sounds being heard, a young coelophysis skittering out of the undergrowth fearfully as a pair of grey and tan jaws slammed shut just behind it, the predator leaping off it's feet towards a tree branch before being headbutted in mid air, tumbling and slamming into another tree as Crusher jumped on it, jaws clamping shut round it's neck, the young Rex glancing round, a curious look on his face, the Coelophysis' head and part of it's neck hanging limply out of one side of his jaws, it's body twitching as if in a final attempt to get away, on the other side, the young Rex looking around. "Drrkdeeff?" mumbled the Rex, having tried to say Darkness with his mouth full, as he stood up, dragging the dead Coelophysis with him towards the cave...

"Subtle." Darkness growled sarcastically as Crusher approached. "If we're lucky, only half the island heard that." he hissed with a smirk, laying his head back down on the ledge...

Crusher eyed the Raptor for a moment, shrugging. "Hey, They can get their own breakfast. this one's mine" he responded with a sly smirk, intentionally evading the intended point of Darkness' comment...

"I'm sure they'll understand." Darkness growled, eyes still closed. He was tempted to go out for his own meal, but his urge to sleep was overpowering his hunger...

Crusher grunted, pinning his meal down and biting onto the exposed leg near the hip, biting right through the flesh and breaking the bone, before pulling the leg off, dropping it to the side, before giving it his attention, leaving his meal for a moment. he glanced between the leg and the spot Darkness was, eyes shifting back to the leg, then back to the Raptor's perch, a toothy grin appearing on his face as an idea struck him. grabbing ahold of the middle of the lower leg he took several steps back, before running forward, lowering his head, then swinging it sideways and round in an arc towards the front, letting go, the severed leg hurtling through the air and glancing over the top of the perch, smacking into Darkness with an audible splat, Crusher looking up at the ledge, waiting to see Darkness' reaction, a pleased look on his face, proud of the achievement...

Darkness lifted his head, looking at the dismembered leg that collided with his flank, the force, thankfully, not enough to push him off. "Ow. Thanks for that." the dark raptor growled, picking up the limb in his jaws, only half-joking with his statement, as this solved his hunger problem quite nicely...

Aircrest's wandering took him through low lying shrubs and small trees until he ultimately reached a clearing. Walking across to the other side of the thin patch of vegetation revealed a sudden drop in the land. The green raptor stood at the edge of a sheer drop, looking down at the canopies of trees below. Several feet to his side was a relatively small waterfall, the mist of which lingered just ahead of him and obscured his view. He made a low, drawn out whistling noise as he looked down the rock face, seeing a few small plants growing out of cracks in the cliff side. He saw the silhouettes of birds flying against the sky, which was now almost completely blue, and the sun was a brilliant yellow. "What a sight." He growled. He had a small smile on his face, which disappeared as he thought "Now how the hell do I get down...?"

"You're welcome" growled the Rex in response, toothy grin spread even wider, before returning to his own meal, the Rex ripping his meal apart, consuming whole chunks of it carelessly, bones and all...

the screeching roars of two superpredators thundered across the plains of the island, as two Spinosaurs fought viciously for dominance. one was large, dark green and covered in blue and cyan blotches, bright flares of orange making an appearance in the predator's massive fin, as well as the waddle on it's neck, large, stretched, covered in small spikes and decorated with black tigerstripes. it's yellow eyes burned with rage and pain, as it faced it's opponent. "Thrasher, you FOOL! It is our unity that gives us our strength! that's all that gave us the strength to defeat Spectre and his family! Do you really want to throw all that away?!" bellowed the Spinosaur. before him stood a 65 foot behemoth, grey green in colour, blue, cyan and green streaks and mottling forming wisped patterns on it's flank, the patterns looking almost like a picture of green-tinted trees in a forest; a pattern that would make him almost invisible in a wooded environment. it's body was covered in thick scutes and osteoderms, comparable in appearance to crocodile scales, starting at the head and ending at the tip of the Spinosaur's muscular tail. spikes grew from the base of the skull and along the neck and along the top of the fin, ending with the fin. "Scimitar, it seems you misunderstand my intentions. I have no intention of breaking the unity of our family...I simply intend to eliminate you as the head. You've led long enough...My turn" hissed Thrasher malevolently as he strode towards his father, massive claws at the ready, fangs bared, heartless, having no pity for his father. Despite Thrasher's young age at the time, he was the one who pressed the decision to wipe out the Rexes, not his father. the older Spinosaur was no longer important...it was time Thrasher took charge...and claimed what he deserved...

Darkness tugged at his own meal, pulling chunks of meat off the bone hungrily, occasionally watching his companion eat with a perplexed gaze, never understanding how Crusher could eat like that...

The carchar moved on, shaking it's head in a twisting motion a few times while snarling, continuing through the trees towards the scents of the giga and the dead herbivore, a faint smell of blood reaching Eradicus' nose. This caused the massive creature to slightly speed up, growling under it's breath as it charged onwards...

As he walked through the jungle, a breeze blew in his direction and with it came the scent of a Galimimus. The raptor stopped walking, sniffing the air to pin point the direction in which the scent was coming from. Determining that it was coming along the path he was taking, Maloriak resumed walking, moving at a fast walk for the time being, but intending to slow down once he got closer to where the Gali was...

The edmontosaurs kept up their wall of defence, intent on keeping the T-rex away from their young ones... that was, until the herd heard the roars of the Spinos off in the distance. That was allthat was needed to cause them to loose any nerve they had and turn and bolt. The bull tried to honk at the fleeing herd, to get them to stay together, but it was too late. The rest of the herd was fleeing for their lives, and the bull also chased off after them, not wanting to be left behind. The female T-rex simply starred at the fleeing herbivores, before the reptilian equivilant of a chuckle escaped from the Rex's toothy mouth. "All that bravado to keep me from their babies... and they get scarred by the distant sounds of Spinosaurs?" The female T-rex grunted, before she turned to where the Suchomimus had dragged the young Edmonto into the forest. She began to move in that direction, already knowing that there was a free meal for her...

Gothmog began to dig voraciously into the heterodontosaur. He made sure to eat quietly, as to prevent predators from discoverign where he was. If anything came to where he was, he was as good as dead...

Off in a distant corner of the island, a Tarbosaurus stirs. It lets out a low bellowing roar before it glances around at its surroundings. "Nothing," Ba'al thinks. He quickly gets to his feet and begins searching for food....
