Soon, one of the raptors in the pack rushed in from the side of the injured herbivore, the creature had been adandoned by the others in its own herd when it just couldn't move on any more. The raptor screeched as it pounced at the animal, scoring a hit on it's flank and neck with it's curved toe claws. Another soon dashed in and clamped it's jaws down on the animal's neck and slashed at it's flank and face with it's hands...

As the compies moved back to the stream to continue drinking, Darkness burst from the jungle, closing the distance between himself and his prey within moments. One compy tried to leap into the stream, but was quickly snatched up by the dark raptor's jaws. The other two sprinted away down the bank, Darkness striking out with a clawed foot, missing the closest compy's tail by a few inches, allowing them to flee into the jungle. Cursing under his breath, the dark raptor quickly consumed his catch and continued down the bank...

Blackside snorted in irritance, twin jets of water vapor blowing out of her nostrils. Normally, she would be willing to share her kill with someone else, but right now, there was barely enough food here just for the two of them... and for a T-rex to come crashing in for a free meal, not once, but TWICE... the Rex's eye continued to twitch as she let out a loud roar, one that echoed across the plains. This roar caused the herd on the plains to getvery nervous, and they moved further away from the two perdators and their kill. The roar was awarning to the incoming T-rex.. to back off, or else suffer...

Eventually Aircrest came to a point where the river had two streams branching off of it, flowing off into the jungle and swamps. One cut across the bank he was following, so he walked down it for a short distance before stopping to take his drink. The water flowed slowly and smoothly, the vegetation was evenly spaced out and bird song broke the silence of the morning. It was a deceptive scene, Aircrest was wary of anything lurking below the surface, waiting for the chance to drag him down and rob the air from his lungs. With his thirst sated once more, the raptor continued down along the stream at a safe distance from the bank, following the slow current deeper into the undergrowth.

Gothmog growls, "I sympathize, Eradicus. I, too, have lost my family....." Gothmog holds back sorrow, remembering his mother...

Ba'al snarls upon hearing the roar and emerges from the jungle shrubbery. The Tarbosaurus raises his head up and roars with a primal fury, his eyes becomnig narrowed and focused on the opposing rex....

The carchar nodded, knowing how the giga had felt, but didn't know what to say at the moment...

After following the scent for several more minutes, the Raptor finally saw the Gali through a gap in some ferns ahead of him. The herbivore was feeding on some grass and since it was alone, was rightly more nervous than when in a herd, as it glanced about it's surroundings longer between lowering it's head to eat. Maloriak quietly began to make his way forward, reducing the sound of his own breathing to the point that he could barley hear it...

Blackside doesn't give an inch, her eyes locked with those of Ba'al. This was her meal, and she wasn't going to allowit all to go to complete waste. She was primed and ready to defend it if necessary... but Monozu, on th eother hand, was abit more timid. Even though he moved alongside with Blackside and also let out a terrifying roar at the male T-rex, in his mind, his confidence was slowly crumbling. Why didn't we just head off and get ourselves a new meal? The suchomimus thought to itself...

Ba'al does not even take notice to the Suchomimus. His attention is solely on the female rex. She challenged him first. She will pay for threatening him. The Tarbosaur roars before charging her, jaws snapping wildly....

a rattling hiss came from the Cryolophosaurus as it circled, Crusher making mock lunges, trying to tempt an attack. the Cryolophosaur snarled, getting a moment of exposure as Crusher seemed to reveal his flank, opening a chance for the Cryo to finish him in one swift blow, the Cryo lunging forward with a screech, eyes widening at the last second, it's attack ending catastrophically as Crusher turned on a foot, swinging his tail off to one side as he swung his head into the Cryo's neck, the collective momentum caused by the tail driving Crusher's head in the direction of the Cryo with just enough speed to let him catch it's neck, the Rex pressing his advantage as he tightened his grip on the creature, ignoring it's struggling, the animal trying to resist but not daring to try and rip free, already feeling the Rex's fangs inches from a fatal blow. Crusher dragged the creature to one side, before lifting upwards, swaying back and forth rapidly, his stance wide to keep him from losing balance, the Cryo's legs caving under it as it lost it's footing, losing balance and falling, it's own weight driving Crusher's jaws into it's windpipe and jugular, Crusher finishing the fight with a thrash, snapping the neck and ending the animal's life, growling lowly as he leaned forward, a foot placed on the flank, a new meal for him to feed on, his furiously fast metabolism having already broken down the Coelophysis from earlier...

Blackside, taking it all into strike, leaned to the right, so that Ba'al's charge went right by her left flank. Moving fast, she performed a Hip Check right into the Tyrannosaur by reshifting her weight back over onto her left side, so that she slammed into him. THe force of the impact sent the Tarbosaur onto its side. Blackside whirled toward the temporarily downed Tarbo, before lunging right at his throat...

Ba'al, slightly surprised by the attack, but nonetheless prepared to counter, delivers a powerful kick to Blackside's face, the force of the blow forcing her back a couple feet and drawing blood from her nose. The Tarbosaur uses this to his advantage and gets to his feet, lowering his form, as to allow easier access to his foe's vitals when she charges and greater difficulty for her to get his, save the top of his neck...

As he trekked beside the stream, Aircrest's nostrils flared as he took in scents lingering ahead. Compies, a raptor and blood. It didnt take long for him to infer what happened and judging by the strength of the smells, the event was fairly recent. The raptor bared his teeth. Usually where there was one raptor, others werent too far away. Aircrest looked up to the mossy branches reaching out overhead and rocketed up onto one with a powerful jump. Not wanting to be in violation of a pack's territory, the green and black raptor upped his pace as he moved across the branches, still moving accord with the stream below.

Red had arrived momments before and had watched Steeltalon bring down the gali. the action had scared most of the other prey away and with one oversized raptor he wouldn't have too much trouble in his mind. He began walking toward Steeltalon making no effort thide his pressance. When got closer he let out a long roar to send the message to clear out there mosy certainly wasn't enough to share.

Steeltalon looked up and froze for a moment upon seeing the Utahraptor approaching. She let out a defiant snarl. Though she probably couldn't afford to fight a predator that much bigger than her, she didn't want to lose her hard-won kill.

Slipping through the trees with the intent of eluding a raptor pack made Aircrest something: He mistrusted his own kind. Not every velociraptor belonged to a pack, he was living proof of that. Yet as soon as he came across a trace of another, assumed the worst. "Damn...is living alone making me paranoid or something...?" He thought. He made one last jump onto a tree and started to scent the air, only smelling water from the stream, the vegetation around him and the one raptor. With a sigh of relief, Aircrest started off again, making his way through the the tangle of branches at a more casual rate.

Once again Darkness was hiding amongst the foliage, downstream of his last location some distance away, watching the two compies who apparently forgot about what just happened. The little things never did learn from past experiences, he noticed. Thankfully, the wind worked in his favor, blowing the scents of the compies to him, rather than his scent to them, allowing him to get close enough to attack. Pouncing onto the nearest one, the dark raptor pinned it down with a foot, while the other, apparently not very attached to its companion, bolted further downstream more. Thinking two was enough, Darkness quickly ate his catch and moved back into the jungle, hoping the small amount of blood did not attract any unwanted attention...

The green raptor cocked his head at the scent of the raptor and some compies that had wafted towards him on the wind, then at the muffled, panicked screeching he heard that was swiftly silenced. Another breeze blowing through the jungle brought the faint scent of blood with it. "They always make the same noise when they die" Aircrest thought with a sigh, though a new concern arose. The smell of blood and the dying shouts of an animal were the calling cards of predators and scavengers alike. Sticking around the area wasnt a good idea, and Aircrest upped his pace once more, launching through the tree tops with strong legs.

The greenish brown Gali glanced about it's surroundings, listening for the slightest sound that would betray the location of a stalking predator. The uneasy herbive scented the air, checking for scents that would be the give aways of approaching attackers. However, the jungle was quiet beyond the droning of insects and there were no scents in the breeze. Hesitating for a momment longer, the Gali began to lower it's head again. That was when the raptor made his move, bursting out of the undergrowth from behind in a full sprint, not making any sounds beyond his own footfalls. His meal looked up in alarm and hesitated for a few seconds as though it couldn't believe what was happening before it. The Gali started to run, but it was too late by then, for the few momments of hesitation were all Maloriak needed. Leaping into the air, he landed upon the fleeing herbive, knocking it to the ground before his jaws clamped onto it's neck and held on tight. There was struggling from the Gali for several more momments, but it's struggles started to become weaker and then stopped completely. The raptor stood up and without waiting another momment, began to eagerly feed upon his meal...

Blackside snarled in pain as she staggered back, the Rex began to shake her head, trying to get rid of the pain. She roared at Ba'al, then charged at him head on, head lowered so that she could send him overonto his side....

Away from the battle, Monozu was busy dragging the half of a carcass away from the battle. He figured that, while Blackside was distracting Ba'al, he would drag the kill away. It was a plan the two had come up with only via eye contact...
