"I have a question for the both of you," Shadowstar mewed, looking first at Firestreak and then at Ferallion. "Will you be joining us in this fight?"

"I wouldn't have been near the group if I didn't intend to, Shadowstar" Ferallion growled as he neared the gray shecat, slowing his walk until he came to a full stop a few feet away from her. He sat down and let his bushy tail wrap around his paws, waiting for the leader's dismissal. It seemed to be a simple enough subject, so he didn't expect much discussion

Tiberium lifted himself from the ground, having an idea about what he could do to occupy himself while he was alone. He had seen the inside of the leader's den, and he had more than enough time to observe the layout of the camp itself. It was time he got a good look of the various dens he saw spread about the ravine.

"Do you even have to ask? I owe it to Thunderclan and to Windclan to help." Firestreak responded, nodding sternly.

"good. We need all the extra paws we can get," Shadowstar meowed, nodding and heading toward Falconflight to speak to him. as she passed Firestreak she paused and rested her tail across his shoulders for a moment. "It's good to have you back, even temporarily, Firestreak." then she joined her deputy and began speaking with him. The group by the highrock was chattering animatedly, eager to get to it.

Wordlessly, Ferallion turned around and made his way back to the group of warriors disappearing amongst the excited bunch of cats. All there was to do now was wait. Only then would he know how he would fare fighting along the Thunderclan warriors. He wondered how the group would react to a complete stranger joining them with their mission. Tiberium was the only cat he knew he could rely on in a hunt or a battle, how could he rely on cats he didn't even know? How could they rely on him?

Firestreak smiled at the Thunderclan leader's comment, the expression betraying the twinge of pain he felt, knowing he could not yet return. Hopefully, that would change. With one last lingering look at Shadowstar, he made his way over to Swiftstrike, who was almost finished questioning his clan mates..

The ThunderClan warriors were lashing their tails in anticipation of the upcoming battle. Shadowstar watched them for a moment, then turned to look at the WindClan cats. She too was eager to help put right this wrong. But she couldn't help but wonder....while they knew they were fighting rogues, they still didn't know the skill level they were going to be up against. That was why stealth and the first attack's strength would count more than anything in this fight.

After a few minutes, Swiftstrike approached Shadowstar. "We're ready." he growled with a short nod.

Meanwhile, resting in the uppermost branches of an oak tree overlooking a waterfall, a black tom watched patiently, piercing amber gaze never leaving the subject of his interests. the last few nights had been interesting, culminating in the chaotic state of Windclan. an apparent coup had been staged against the standing leadership. the cause seemed to be from outside of the clan, to his best guess, following what information he was able to acquire, from non-clan scents moving into the Windclan borders, to the sheer amount of Windclan cats resting along the Clan's borders after the event had taken place. the clues painted a rather grim portrait of the current events, leaving the tom deep in thought over what would happen next. since then things had gone quiet. he had seen movement of cats across the neutral ground around his current resting spot in the last few hours, and it seemed that now he was simply witnessing the calm before the storm. this will be interesting to watch thought the tom calmly as he lay in his perch, his dark speckled pelt hiding him perfectly in the darkness of the foliage...

Shadowstar nodded and turned to her warriors, letting out a yowl. "To me, ThunderClan!" she called as she headed for the gorse tunnel at a brisk pace. She pause beside Falconflight and Swanfeather to meow, "Guard our home with your life." then she was through the tunnel of thorns and climbing the ravine, already planning the attack in her mind.

Swifstrike and his clan mates followed swiftly after the Thunderclan leader, Firestreak among them...

Finally, Spottednose thought to himself, trotting after his leader and fellow Clanmates. He felt odd walking alongside WindClan cats as well, but he shrugged it off. He had more important things to worry about...

Tiberium sat just outside the warrior's den, looking on as the group of dark pelted warriors left the camp. Knowing his brother, he was somewhere near the back, silent and out of the way as always. Though he had a low level anxiety, he knew his brother would be able to hold his own in a fight. While he would try to avoid violence when he was a loner, Ferallion was always by his side ready to spring into action if something posed a threat, cat or otherwise. This was the first time the gray tom would be using his skills in stealth for something other than hunting, however...

Once the cats were out of view, his gaze dropped down to the burrow, the scents of many cats reaching his nostrils.

Shadowstar led her warriors on swift, silent paws. She was heading towards the river; they would follow the border until they could cross the narrow strip of RiverClan territory, and then they would be on WindClan land. From the moment they crossed the RiverClan border they would need to travel in absolute silence. Until they could veer away from the gorge, they would also need to be cautious not to slip over the edge of the rocky cliff. It was a more dangerous but faster way to get from ThunderClan territory to WindClan, and vice versa.

Swiftstrike and his clanmates kept up with Shadowstar easily enough, though they were used to open space rather then the confines of a forest. Firestreak moved with them, fur standing on end due to anticipation...

Ferallion made a soft noise, a barely audible snort when he began to recognize this part of the forest. It was no louder than the crunching of dry leaves after they had been stepped on by a mouse. "We were coming here not too long ago..." The gray tom thought. It was roughly the same path he and his brother were going to take on their way to find a new place to spend their days. A smile appeared on his blank face- a rare occasion when his brother wasn't around. Even if he and Tiberium decided not to joined Thunderclan, he would still have helped cleared the area of any hostile cats. Maybe he would have some luck and come across a new burrow. Ferallion thought of the impending battle as a way to safeguard his and Tiberium's future...

One amber eye peeked out from behind the Earthen wall, Tiberium sticking close to the packed dirt as he spied a few cats laying in the large den. A bunch seemed to be sleeping but the majority of the group were merely resting, with a few cats grooming each other. For the most part, they seemed unaware of the white tom's silent observation. That or they didn't bother to react to his presence. Either way, Tiberium slowly backed away from the wall and turned about, starting to head back out of the warrior's den, trying not to look too out of place...

Shadowstar didn't even pause at the scent markers, crossing the RiverClan border with barely a twitch of her whiskers. Her black-striped pelt was hard to see in the mottled shade, but her warriors kept up, moving quickly to get out of RiverClan territory and onto WindClan's.

as the cats passed under the tree Wraith's eyes narrowed. Was wondering when they'd make their move he thought as he watched silently, debating whether or not to follow them...

Firestreak stopped suddenly, hair standing on end as he caught the scent of an unfamiliar cat. A feeling of dread came over the loner, having feared an ambush from the start. But upon further investigation, he was not able to smell any more cats. A lookout, perhaps? Considering they were in a region where most of the loners and rogues made their homes, it was possible that it was they who caught Firestreak's attention. The exiled tom was unsure whether he should tell Shadowstar or not, not wanting to waste time searching for a random loner or rogue...

The ThunderClan leader, glancing behind her to make sure everyone was keeping up, saw Firestreak's sudden stop and slowed her pace, letting the other cats take the lead. She turned and walked back to her former Clanmate, cocking her head. "Battle nerves?" she questioned, laying her tailtip on his shoulder. She hadn't yet caught the scent Firestreak had, but it was only a matter of time before she did.
