Spottednose followed his orders, but took his time. He would rather not venture near ShadowClan territory. They weren't exactly the friendliest group of cats around here...

As the Thunderclan cats moved away from the river, a group of 4 cats, downwind of the patrol, emerged, immediately charging toward the Thunderclan cats, their paws wet, showing evidence of being near the river...

Falconflight tensed as he spotted the newcomers, pausing in marking the border. "Heads up guys, we've got company," he growled, turning to face the approaching cats.

Meanwhile, a brown-and-white ShadowClan she-cat was padding alongside a dark gray tom, heading along the Thunderpath, carrying her catch. Both of them were holding plump rats in their jaws and seemed rather thin. Though they knew the dangers of eating rats from the carrionplace, there was little else to be found on their territory during leafbare. The she-cat suddenly set her catch down and sat down heavily, giving a few low coughs. The tom shot her a concerned look. "Cough no better, Mudsplash?" he mumbled around the rat in his jaws. Mudsplash shook her head wearily. "Littlefern's done everything she can think of," she murmured. "She says she doesn't think it's greencough, but...." She let her voice trail off, then gave her head a firmer shake. "C'mon Crowfur. The queens and elders will be getting hungry." Crowfur let out a low growl, dropping his rat. "This is no way to live, scraping by on rats and roadkill every leafbare," he hissed. "What were our ancestors thinking, settling in a marsh of all places? if I were leader, I'd've - " "Shhh," Mudsplash snapped. "Cedarstar is a good leader. He may be old, but he's kept out Clan alive for more seasons than you've been around. Now no more talk of this, or I'll have to tell him what you've been saying." Crowfur was silent for a moment, giving her a long look through mutinous blue eyes, before he muttered, "Yes, deputy," and snatched up his catch.

Spottednose fluffed himself up, making himself larger, and smiled. "Good, I was beginning to get bored!"

[TyrannoTitan]

The cats didn't bother with formalities, instead launching themselves at each of the ThunderClan cats. One large she-cat collided with Falconflight, while another black and white male circled around Spottednose, while two identical grey tabbies, one tom, one she-cat, stared down the other three, slightly surprised at number of Thunderclan cats on patrol, but quickly regained focus on the fight...

Spottednose made sure to follow the male circling him, keeping his side facing the tom so he could lash out with his paws or teeth if the opponent got too close, arching his back to try and stall the tom while he thought up his own plan of attack...

Falconflight, bowled over by the attack, quickly began kicking at the she-cat's stomach, clawing out tufts of fur even as he sank the claws of his forepaws into her shoulders and tried to flip her over.

Swanfeather let out a low snarl, locking eyes with the gray tabby she-cat while Mapleleaf and Stormheart began circling the tom. They had their opponents outnumbered, but that might mean nothing if they didn't fight hard and fight well.

The tom circling Spottednose made a mock lunge, trying to force the other cat into action...

The she-cat yowled angrily, allowing Falconflight to flip her over, only to dig her own back claws into the Thunderclan cat's stomach...

The tom, moving with his two opponents, moved them away from his sister, hoping only to distract them rather then fight them. The she-cat twin snarled lowly, lunging at Swanfeather with a paw...

Spottednose made a hop back away from the tom as he lunged, hissing to try and make the cat back off...

Swanfeather ducked and returned the swipe, nicking the tip of the she-cat's ear with a claw. Ears tended to bleed more than anywhere else, so Swanfeather was hoping to make the she-cat believe she was hurt more badly than she was and end this fight quickly.

Stormheart, meanwhile, lunged at the tabby tom, his paw missing the RiverClan cat's nose by a whisker's breadth.

Falconflight snarled and rolled again, kicking the she-cat away from him and the river. If he let her get into the water, she'd have the advantage.

Tiberium and Ferallion's ears twitched and almost simultaneously turned around to see the battle. "Wow. Those cats really want the Sunning Rocks..." Ferallion growled. Tiberium watched, his body quivering as he struggled to make a decision of what to do. He could just turn his back and keep going, let the clan cats settle their dispute. At the same time, he couldnt just leave. Without warning, the white tom bolted back towards the others, his brother following soon after. "Tiberium what are you doing!?" He hissed. "I cant just walk away from this!" Tiberium hissed in response. Ferallion was going to say something, but knew his brother wasnt going to stop. The only thing he could do was assist and hope they didnt leave this place missing chunks of their flanks

The she-cat hissed, blood dripping down from her ear to her face. Looking upstream, the she-cat saw the approach of two others, her eyes widening. "Thunderclan trickery! Retreat!" she hissed, turning tail and running back from the direction they arrived. The twin cats did the same after hearing their comrade's words, while the she-cat fighting Falconflight got shakily to her paws and ran after the others...

"Mouse-hearts! Don't start a battle if you're only going to run away from it!" Mapleleaf yowled after the retreating warriors. Stormheart, Falconflight and Swanfeather turned to see what had spooked the RiverClan cats. The deputy's amber eyes widened in surprise. Those two loners came back? Why? he thought.

Spottednose was also surprised, but also disappointed. "Well, that was a lot less fun that I thought it would be..." he mewed with a mock sigh.

Tiberium slowed to a stop and trotted across the remaining distance between him and the patrol, Ferallion falling into step with him soon after. "You all alright?" He growled as he looked to each of the cats. Ferallion remained silent eying his brother, somewhat annoyed. Tiberium was kind and usually avoided getting into fights, but at the same time he liked ending others. He might mean well, but Ferallion didnt like him getting into things he had no part of.

"Um, yes." Falconflight nodded, turning to look over each of the cats in his patrol and ignoring the wounds on his own stomach for the moment. He could feel blood flowing, but none of the claw wounds felt deep enough to be serious. "Thank you for the concern, and forgive me if I sound rude, but...why did you come back?"

"It isnt obvious?" Tiberium mewed as he sat down. "I cant just turn my back on cats in danger. Even if I hardly know them" He added after, while Ferallion only sighed quietly.

Spottednose silently situated himself next to Swanfeather and Stormheart, letting his fluffed up fur settle down on its own, silently watching the conversation...

Falconflight cocked his head. "Is that so..." he mewed as he sat down slowly, trying not to let his pain show and appearing to space out for a moment as he thought, Does he do this often then? Charge into battles that have no connection to him? He snapped himself out of his own thoughts by saying, "I suppose in that, you're very like a ThunderClan warrior." Stormheart shot Swanfeather a glance as if asking her what is our deputy playing at?.

"Ive heard stories about Thunderclan. Some...were not stories persay. I'd rather not elaborate on those" Tiberium mewed, while Ferallion tried to hold back a smirk and a snicker. Some of the things he had heard were actually quite funny...in their own twisted way.
