Damian sat down within the strange APC craft, making himself comfortable. He couldn't believe it... he was actually gonna travel to a different dimension!

"This is going to be amazing guys!" Damian said to the others on board. "You all excited?"

... Once the hovercraft was through the rift, both Yukari and Rebin looked out the window.. and what they saw amazed both of them. The vehicle was now above a clearing, one covered in ferns. Tall trees of an unrecognizable species surrounded the clearing. A breeze was flowing through the air, causing the fan-like leaves to sway back and forth. It was pristine... but at the same time odd.

"Oh my... this is... this looks fascinating." Rebin commented, trying to take in this alien, yet oddly familiar world. While it did look vageuly similar, the scene was interrupted by a pair of bird-like creatures flying past, creatures with leathery wings and long tails. Yukari recognized those instantly.

"Were those... Pterosaurs?" She gasped... Without a doubt, they wwere now in a whole new world...

A ways off, a pair of dim yellow eyes watched the vessel, the owner of the eyes muttering something to itself before it vanished amongst the trees...

Damian soon glanced out the window on his side as well. Strange shapes lurked in the swampy land below, and leathery winged creatures flew in the skies. Damain was in awe. He couldn't believe his eyes. He jsut saw... Pterosaurs! And.... and it looked like something out of his old story books! They were some dinosaur looknig world!

"Wow," Damain said. "Did we accidentally sign up for a time travelling expedition?" Damin joked, as he saw two Sauropods grazing in the nearby marshlands...

Yukari's attention shifted to the sauropods grazing in the marshes. She noticed that their mouths seemed more like those of a ducks than what one would expect from such a creature... Wait, she saw a skeleton of such a creature, at a musueum... The name of the creature came back to her, all the way from childhood.

"It's a Nigersaurus... it's a damn Nigersaurus..." She realized. Rebin turned and gave her a funny look, but she ignored it and quickly grabbed her notes and pen out of the backpack and began jotting down what she could... This was amazing... absolutely breathtaking... a real living dinosaur... and the world...

"Yeah, it looks like we went back in time." Rebin said to Damian. He too was impressed with what he was... but even with that, there was something wrong about what he was seeing... something off....

"Ah" said Jacob as he sat back, his mind focused on the thought of what had moved the ROVs, running the data on them through his head silently as he tried to get an estimate of what would be needed to drag them off...

Kane swung the ship around, sweeping the searchlights over a dark red soil like that of Mars, though it was most certainly moist unlike the Red Planet's. "If something...or things were in here, then evidence would be left behind..." he said. Sure enough, shortly after he found ruts in the soil with bumps at incremental distances. Treads, that belonging to the probes. They led away from the rift for only a few yards before other tracks appeared, ones that tapered to a pointed end at the front and had three other extensions to the back. They were widely spaced, conveying that what ever this creature was had a running start on at least one robot. A large area of disturbed soil showed where the probe was attacked and evidently disabled. If it had been broken and dismantled, then the creatures must have gathered the fragments as well as the robot itself but for what purpose was unknown...

"Well that's....freaky" Kane commented.

Moving the lights a bit further revealed other signs of activity, tracks, trails and much more...this cave was not the quiet hovel the two were led to believe it was. Things were in it...though they kept themselves hidden...

Damian chuckled. "I've never heard of that dinosaur before," the demolition expert said. He continued looking out the window, watching the sauropods graze in the marshes, until his eyes fell upno a strange shape. It looked out-of-place in this place they had ended up. The thing below seemed man-sized, and was black as night. Everything else was some sort of dinosaur, and this black shape was just... standing there for some reason. Suddenly, the form looked up, and as if out of a nightmare, Damian's mind suddenly was assaulted with some sort of hellish power. It was as if the being's hellish face popped up in his mind. All he coudl see was darkness, and those peircing red eyes, Damian grasped his head, and moaned in audible pain, before he got the strength to look back down out the widnow. Whatever it was, it was gone now...

Blissfully ignored by the grazing reptiles nearby, a single floating construct hovered just above the treeline, staring blankly at the distant APC. A quick scan confirmed life inside, and the machine vanished back into the trees. Intruders had arrived. Now it was time to see if they should be dealt with...

Both Rebin and Yukari's attention was shifted to Damian. "Are you alright? What happened?" Yukari asked him, concerned for the man. What had happened to cause him to act out in pain? Rebin took a quick glance out the window, but only saw the sauropods as the craft descended down in the clearing...

"Does this ship have environment mapping sensors? Something that could show living creatures in the surroundings?" inquired Jacob, the tracks having worried him. By the spacing between the strides, he guessed it was probably around 7 feet tall, possibly more. It was difficult to tell without being on the ground by the tracks themselves. He wasn't as good at guessing through a monitor...

"Of course, how silly of me. I should have activated it after we found that pool. Since we have a sample on a genetic level, anything with a similar composition should register to our scanners!" Kane said, glad Jacob had accompanied him after all. He was proving to be an able assistant. Flipping the switch, the active radar on the panel was now integrated with the environment scans and

Hits. Everywhere. The two were surrounded with a bounty of creatures in all directions, all out of the bright glare of Felicity's spotlights...

"I'm... I'm fine," Damian replied, as he put on his armor's helmet and readied his hammer. The APC soon touched down in the marshy land. hovering slightyl above the thick, murky mildew green water. The back hatch of the ship soon hissed, and slowly opened.

"Guess we better start explorin' eh?" Damian said.

"........****" was all Jacob could say at the sight of the results. It seemed they were in a similar situation to the ROVs now...One particular beast watched predatorily from the shadows, stalking Felicity like prey...It was only a matter of time before it, or the countless other threats haunting the cave decided to make their move on them....

"Very much so. However we are nothing without our wits so lets keep them about us shall we!?" Kane said in an offsetting, almost whimsical tone. While he would have liked to continue the study of the cave, it was out of the question by now. Still, nothing was stopping the two from returning under more...favorable conditions.

Kane, cross referencing the radar feed with what he was seeing through the yellow tinted screen, directed the Felicity towards the closest exit, a winding shaft that led out of the cave in a round about way, roughly at a shallow angle to the surface. The engines made what sounded like a growl as they angled to near 180 degrees, propelling the orange and black vessel towards the mouth of the tunnel...

A glow, icy-blue and dim even in the dark cave, shined just outside of Felicity's spotlights as it turned, before vanishing almost immediately as it moved behind a stalactite, as if the creature producing it was startled by the ship's sudden movement...

"Sarge?", repeated Jurgen for the 3rd time.

Andrew turned to face the large man as he loaded supplies into the Panther APC. "Yeah, just make sure Sarah's got the drones loaded up." He slowly clicked a few extra magazines into his belt and locked the helmet on his NATICK OPS suit.
Seargeant Andrew Hutcher, for the first time in a long time, was nervous about this operation. "What the hell is out there?", he asked himself seemingly hourly. His job was to keep his fellow operatives safe. He knew Jurgen could take care of himself. He'd seen the Big German medic snap many a mans bodys. But Major hall, who was on this mission to control all the drones, hell, he'd only talked to her on the coms. this was going to be interesting. AS the Seargeatn tapped his hand to his field communicator, Major hall walk in with a crisp, cool stride, followed by two army regulars carrying metal containers.

"Just load those in the back gentlemen.", said the U.S. Major.

The two men saluted, and walked out of the hanger.

"Were ready to roll out!", yelled an engineer as a green light came on in the hanger.

"Alright, load up people!" Hollared the Seargent.

Rebin grabbed whatever supplies was needed as he and Yukari nodded in agreement, then got out of the vehicle. THeir feet landed on the wet chilled grass of the clearing. Yukari took a deep breath in, and loved it. "It's... so clear and clean... It's not so polluted like it is back on earth. This... this is amazing!" She laughed as she gazed back over at the sauropods.

Rebin cam eup beside her, jokebook in hand. "Well, I guess you can say this is a BREATHTAKING experience!" he joked, which earned him a free kick to the side from Yukari.

Inside the Panther APC, Andrew, Sarah, and Jurgen all felt a momentary lightheadedness. Then they were assaulted by scintillion of flares. The 3 soldiers sheilded their eyes for a moment, but by the time they even reacted, it was gone.

"****! Sarge what was that!" Called out Jurgen from the gunner's seat.

"Some kind of interf - ", The seargeant stopped speaking immideatly.

There were tough, but elegant trees everywhere, extending into the sky. Low to the ground, were clusters of ferns and shrubbery. But this was not what had caught the seargent's eye. Large, leathery bird-like creatures glided across the sky, flapping their huge, papery thin wings in unison. Life war all around them. Hulking reptillian creatures thudded across the terrain, while smaller yet animals skirted about, nervously.

"I think they're dinosaurs.", started Major Hall.

"Uhhh ma'am, what the hell is going on." mic'ed up Jurgen as he rotated the turret in a full 360.

"I don't really know... but It's so.... clean and fresh here, even the sky looks more vivid....", She trailed off, her thoughts lost.

"Yeah yeah it's beautiful. but we have a job to do people! So lets get contact with the 1st Pilgrimage.", ordered Hutcherson, getting back on track. This place was creeping him out, it wasn't natural.

More intruders. This was unfortunate. Such an influx had never been seen before, not in such an organized fashion. These were not mere accidents, as the flying drone and its many compatriots had quickly discovered. This was an planned expeditionary force. A disruption to a precious balance. This would not be tolerated. Not at all. The drone watched the third vehicle and its several armed humans from the treeline, its orange glow minimal when obscured by the vegetation...

Jake stretched his muscles as he stepped out from the vehicle. He took a deep breath as he looked around. The land was certainly like he had stepped back in time, and he loved it. Of course, there could be things here that were not normal, so he had to be prepared.

Mentally ready for whatever was out there, Jake set off into the forest...
