Damaar did indeed attack, though it was not immediately visible what he was targeting. A loud electrical crackle could be heard as arcs of what looked like electricity jumped and arced around his seemingly sealed jaw, the monstrosity's mouth parting to unleash a whitish ion beam at the earth beneath his opponent's feet, ionising the earth below and causing it to fold in on itself, turning molten and simultaneously being broken down into their base elements, the beam breaking all the bonds formed between the element, effectively turning the ground into quicksand under the bear-like beast...

Gulodus was caught off-guard by the sudden beam, the bear-like monster finding himself sinking into the ground. His dense weight made getting out difficult, and as Gulodus tried to crawl his way out, grasping at whatever solid ground he could, his own mouth opened slightly as his tongue fired out at Damaar once more. Only this time instead of piercing through him, it wrapped around the leg of the Warlord, not only giving Gulodus a solid firm anchor to pry himself out of the sinking sand, but also threatening to yank Damaar off his feet and into the sand with him if he failed to escape...

Looking down at the tongue wrapped around his leg, Damaar snarled, slamming the base of his shield into the tongue, sending the shield through the ground below, severing the last few dozen metres of tongue in the process...

Seeing the Warlord's shield coming down, Gulodus's tongue withdrew at the last second, barely avoiding getting severed. As it withdrew back into his mouth, the monster finally secured itself a firm enough grip to get out. As it hauled itself out of the quicksand and moved away from it, it hunkered down close to the ground, before charging once again at the Warlord...

By the time it was out, Damaar had already charged himself. The Warlord's shield struck hard, slamming into the beast's face as the mechanical monstrosity leapt over the sunken ground, knocking the beast free of the quicksand while dazing it in the process, the war machine whirling around as a taloned limb sheared across his opponent's face, leaving a sizeable gash across it as Damaar began his onslaught, another set of taloned limbs moving to tear apart the armoured beast, edges shimmering white...

Dazed and disoriented, Gulodus nonetheless was able to bring his armored hide up, the sharp talons of the warlord bouncing off the tough armor. At the same time, the thick tail swung back and forth furiously, and nailed Damaar in the back of the leg, causing the terror to fall over from the force of the hit...

The raging Monstrosity was relentless, even the rough armour of the armadillo beast getting scarred with numerous shallow grooves, and the sheer speed of the attacks was quickly deepening the scars left by the monstrosity, threatening to tear right through it. It had been by some miracle that the monster didn't stab straight through the armour entirely, a combination of the resonating, saw-like talons, their sturdiness and the monster's overwhelming power meaning that even a heavily armoured foe could likely be run through were it attempted. Damaar however, seemed to be actively relishing in the opportunity to prolong the psychological trauma dished out by his attacks. The flailing tail, though it gained the armoured beast some breathing room, quickly became the victim of Damaar's ire, his own bladed tail stabbing right through it and pinning it to the ground, the two blades jamming themselves in the earth and lodging the monster's tail there while Damaar rose to his feet, the shield swinging out and slamming into the side of the armoured kaiju, knocking it to the side as the Warlord aimed for its more vulnerable underside...

Gulodus had managed to brace itself into the earth firmly as the shield slammed into it. Though he was rocked by the hit, he managed to stay where he was, his claws anchoring him in as best he could. The tail of the kaiju thrashed as hard as it could, trying to free itself from Damaar's grasp... he still had a trick left he hadn't used yet. turning his head upward to face the monstrosity, Gulodus's mouth bulged open, and a large amount of stomach acids and undigested meat flew from Gulodus's mouth right at the Warlord's face...

The Warlord snarled as the beast twisted it's head to face him, his sensors seeing the attack before it came, the the Living Machine leaning to one side and ducking as the acid soared right past him, colliding with a nearby tower, corroding it rapidly. The draining effects of being in the Warlord's vicinity were starting to take their toll on the Armadillo. It was growing slower. Clumsier. More predictable. Damaar's eyes glared a whitish yellow behind the skull-like mask as the shield was swung down right over the beast's face, driving it straight into the blackened, dead, dusty earth. Barely a second later, a taloned hand swung forward, wrapping around the beast's throat, gripping it with tremendous force as his talons bored into the flesh, even digging into the bone. Lifting it off the ground in its dazed state, the Warlord drove his massive wing-talons right into it's bowels, tearing through the already damaged hide easily as a venomous rattling snarl rumbled from within the mask. A horrific tearing sounded out as the Mechanical monstrosity swung both it's massive blades upwards into the beast's ribcage, tearing a massive gash in the monster's stomach and chest as he lifted it off the ground, the Warmachine throwing the beast away with shocking force for his size, sending the larger monster tumbling a hundred metres before landing in the water along the island's once picturesque beaches, a cloud of dust and debris kicked up in its wake as a deafening mechanical screech rang out, the now-thick cloud of black ash swirling around the Warlord's form all but obscuring him from view, only those heartless, glaring eyes visible within the smog...

The wailing, injured form of Gulodus flailed about from the pain, before righting himself back up. This wasn't worth it. This thing simply was too strong for him, and no meal was worth dying over. The bleeding form of the monster retreated, sinking beneath the waves as it limped away. Staying on this island with that... thing, was certain death. better to go find a better place to eat. Hopefully, his wounds would heal, but he would have to find food first. As he entered into the deeper water, he began to swim, nose held above the water's surface as he headed anywere else but where Damaar was...

Damaar, despite his immense bloodlust in the heat of combat, didn't pursue. His meal was waiting for him. The energy he could gain by breaking down the dead monster on shore was more than enough to satisfy him for now...the other one wouldn't get far. Nothing short of leaving the planet would save it from him...soon enough, this entire world would burn...and with it, he would become that much closer to becoming the most powerful being this galaxy had ever seen...and perhaps afterwards, the universe itself...

Striding across the island towards the bat monster's corpse, a rattling growl could be heard extending from within the helmet, the mask hissing as it split, the jaw folding back to reveal the slightly more organic-looking jaw of the monstrosity itself, before it too, split down the middle, stretching apart like some skeletal snake as a bright glowing energy shone from within. Almost immediately, the winged monster's corpse began to break down, blackening as what looked like sheets of paper-like flesh tore from its body, lighting up and igniting as it was sucked into the gaping maw of the Warlord. First scale, then skin, then muscle, and finally the bone itself, the lower half of the monster all but disintegrating as Damaar absorbed every scrap of energy and life left in it, leaning on his wing-blades and crawling forward, absorbing more and more of the corpse as the grooves and runes across his form grew brighter with every moment, the Warlord looking like some monstrous, demonic cross between a praying mantis, a saurian and a human as he did so...

It was at this point that Blight was now flying over the pacific once more, but now that he was no longer hungry and tired, he felt... rejuvenated. He flew low over the water, the tips of his wings skimming the surface. He lowered his head, and allowed countless gallons of water to flow down his throat. The saltiness of it didn't matter to him. he was used to far worse quality of water to drink. To him, it was far better than what he was used to on his old planet. With another flap of his wings, the dragon lifted back up, to get a better view of the area he was in... hopefully, there was something here of interest...

Snarling lowly, the Warlord straightened, the numerous vents and slits across his armoured form closing with a hiss, a puff of whitish vapour spilling from a hair-thin slit in the mask as the mechanical monstrosity glanced around, glaring up at the sky for a few brief moments, eyeing something that couldn't possibly have been seen by any normal being at that distance, before turning towards the water, striding towards it and leaping, launching himself into the water and propelling himself into the depths, disappearing from sight...The Warlord was hunting for his next victim...

Horus looked down from the planet's outer orbit in silence, watching as the Warlord glared at him loathingly, knowing that his presence here was no longer unknown to The Sentinel. Diagnostics confirmed that the region in which the fight took place suffered heavy, long term damage, scarring the land and killing all life in the surface areas, meaning it would require intervention to recover. A typical trademark of the Warlord. At this point, the Sentinel was pursuing the Warlord from orbit, following where the monstrosity went while his monitoring system kept track of everything else going on on the planet...

It had been a long while since the infernal dinosaur had last awoken. From the belly of a massive volcano, the blazing form of Infernus emerged, his body smoldering with hot, fiery magma. The fire dinosaur shook his body like a wet dog, sending lava splattering across the landscape, sizzling and burning anything it touched. The lava still on his body soon cooled, and hardened, creating a thick layer of rocky armor that coated the infernal overlord's body. Infernus snarled, opening his jaws wide, before he strode down from the volcano's summit like an emperor, ready to feed....

Warning lights flashed as a blast door parted, a large transport vehicle roaring through the door in an underground bunker, what looked like a gargantuan hydraulic cylinder mounted on the back of the extensive vehicle as it drove towards what revealed itself to be an enormous mech. It was easily 90 metres tall, painted black and silver, numbers marking several of the armoured plates along it's massive form. It's shoulder was exposed, beneath which synthetic muscle could be seen, a segment on it's back removed, along with a protective shoulder-blade-like piece. Underneath that, engineers and mechanics worked to prepare the socket for the new hydraulic cylinder. Above it, a large ceiling-mounted crane moved back and forth to move ammunition, replacement parts and other equipment to the engineers above. Around the mech's feet, sparks were flying as plates were welded and secured, various segments of the machine's armour being patched up after it's last mission. On the wall across the massive mech hanger, a black and silver octogonal logo could be seen, marked with a serpent and a ring of trigrams surrounding it. In the wake of the devastation inflicted by Primarch-1, DHARMA had repaired and upgraded their Mech fleet, giving them a means to fight back against the impending monster threat, and hopefully to rope in and recapture their most powerful weapon...They would not allow such a powerful weapon to remain on the loose...not while such dangerous threats continued to materialise across the globe from within and without...

At the head of DHARMA's significant mech forces was the former King Ghidorah, still a well-armed and deadly cyborg. He had performed numerous "trial runs" against other monstrosities periodically emerging, and had done exceptionally well. Mecha King Ghidorah was ruthless, cold, and efficient at killing, and it was serving him well. Somewhere, deep inside what remained of the former space dragon, there was a glimmer of what could only be described as sadistic glee. If the cyborg was capable of it, he would be enjoying his current occupation immensely right now...

At the depths of the ocean, the giant serpent Squama stirred, the snake in shallow, uneasy slumber. The stab wound on its eye still hurt, and it would take time for it to heal naturally, if even at all. The other wounds weren't as bad, and soon they would be healed. Damaar would pay... he would pay for the humiliation he inflicted upon the snake. He and everyone else in his way...

His unclosing eye looked upward. He could sense it, a disturbance above him, miles up. Something had come down...

That thing, which he couldn't identify from his distance, was Blight diving down into the cool water above him. The dragon had decided that, rather than fly, I twas better to swim. It was less taxing on his wings, and it felt more natural to him for some reason he couldn't pinpoint. Perhaps it was because he had spent so long in deep slumber in the ocean? For whatever reason, it was something he was enjoying, swimming just beneath the surface....

On the subcontinent of India, something was stirring... something rising up from the depths of the earth... something demonic. FIres had spread across vast traces of jungle, and whole villages were in flames...

The footfalls of a large kaiju echoed over a tropical jungle like beating drums, sending small animals scattering with each resounding boom. The beast was a large theropod-like monster, lean and lightly built, but boasting muscled legs and an armoured head that looked as though it was the skull of a demon. The Axejaw stopped near the edge of a river, leaning up to sniff the air as water trickled between his massive toes.

Food had been scarce as of late. The Axejaw has spent days in search of a meal, wander further north than he had ever been before. Normal animals would have succumbed to exhaustion or starvation at this point, but kaiju were not normal animals. The Axejaw, like most monsters, defied the laws of physics and biology. Mankind had hardly scratched the surface of why the kaiju - each so very unique and different from the other - were able live at such gigantic sizes, let alone uncover the mysteries behind their incredible powers. Compared to most, the Axejaw was a relatively simple monster. It had no beams, lacked the ability to fly, and featured no remarkable supernatural abilities. But it was still a dangerous and effective predator... even without these mind boggling traits.

Failing to find the scent of prey, the Axejaw growled in disappointment and continued on. Within moments, the titanic creature found himself stomping over the borders of Costa Rica...

From the Gir Forest National Park in India, was the source of the deadly flames that were sweeping across the subcontinent. trees burnt and collapsed as the very ground around them shook. Flaming pillars ruptured upward, sending embers raining across the landscape as a demonic face emerged from the soil. Razor-sharp teeth glistened in the flames, and the titan hauled itself out with 6 clawed hands that ignited upon contact with the air. It was a serpentine creature, almost 400 meters in length, and with fir green scales adorning his hide, aside from the white splotches around the tiny, malevolent eyes, and the grey underbelly of the creature that was made more apparent as it reared up. Though the upper body and skull were somewhat reminiscent of that of a human, it was clear the titan shared no humane thoughts as it gazed upon the burning landscape around it. the sounds of animals burning, villages consumed with fire, and all things turned to ashes caused a sinister smile to spread across the demonic maw. "Good... let it all burn, let all the imperfection and filth burn away." Novetris hissed, as it slithered through the forest, moving faster than one would expect of something of that size... there was more imperfection to melt away, more suffering to cause, more death to create....

"New Kaiju detected Commander" said a systems operator in the control room of the Cobra base, located in the centre of the Pacific Ocean, somewhere between the West Coast of the United States, and the Philippines. "Report" said the Commander, a 40-something ex-British Admiralty official, her stance as dignified as could be expected of someone of such a position, though the military training in her past was clearly visible in how she held herself. Her dusty brown hair was kept in a tight, professional bun, and a streak of lighter coloured hair hung loosely to one side, almost over one eye, hiding a faint but visible scar on the left side of her forehead. "Subject: 164. Origin: Earth- Subterranean. Nature: Primate. Durability: Unknown. Destruction level: 3. Current location: Morroco" responded the systems operator as another one of the staff in the Command Room spoke up. "Commander. Another Kaiju. Subject: 165. Origin: Earth. Nature: Saurian. Durability: Unknown. Destruction level: 1. Current Location: Entering Costa Rica" came the report. "Any orders from OWL station?" asked the Commander as she stepped down from the Command platform and walked over to the first of the two. "None, ma'am" responded the soldier. "In that case, send Primarch-2 after the Indian threat. Have Hexarch-3 go after our little Costa Rican troublmaker" said the Commander calmly. "Understood. Relaying orders" responded the operator...

Deep within the primary hanger of the Cobra Base, sirens sounded warning that units were about to be deployed. On MKG's HUD, the information regarding Novetris; Subject 164, began to appear.

Subject: 164
Location: North Africa - Former Morrocan Territories
Origin: Earth-Subterranean
Nature: Primate
Destruction Level: 3
Durability: Unknown
Orders: Subdue.

Above the hanger, a large blast door opened, acting as the exit for the cyborg as all hanger subsystems were disengaged, clearing the bionic beast for departure. Elsewhere in the hanger, a large grey mech was similarly being cleared, as a ramp extended from a briefing room at chest level with the machine, leading to the torso. A small, immensely thick plate was held over a hole in the chest area leading to the cockpit, a pilot walking towards it, suited in a similarly grey suit, a silvery pattern resembling vertebrae running down his back, presumably the means through which he connected to the machine. As the man entered, the hatch closed over the opening, before being pulled inwards, a secondary set of panels closing over the hatch, completely sealing the entrance. Within minutes, lights started blazing to life across the mech's form, 4 slanted black slits appearing in place of the machine's 'eyes', two on either side, giving a menacing appearance. A hissing sound could be heard as the machine's head tilted from side to side, the high pitched whine of engines being heard as the machine's thrusters entered standby mode, the ramp retracting as the machine stepped forward, beginning to stride into the centre of the hanger, engines roaring loudly as it lowered it's hands and legs to it's sides, the machine ascending out of the hanger shortly after, departing for Costa Rica...
