Spinnerax's space titanium infused body shuddered from the impact but was far from breaking, his cybernetic enhancements allowing him to cope with the phenomenal force of the blow where other monsters would have faltered. Directing the drills down at an angle, the wasp unleashed a vector pulse, the repelling force breaking the metal giant's grip and sending the wasp rocketing out of the crater in the city streets in a plume of debris...

Titan stumbled back a step, upper body and head rotating to track the retreating wasp. Commands blasted out around the bridge. On the main screen, a red crosshair span out, tracking over the hostile cyborg, before settling on his left drill.

Titan's plasma projector fired, a bolt of searing plasma smashing into the wasp's propulsion drill...

Spinnerax spiraled through the air until his four wings extended, stabilizing him several meters over the skyline after dispersing the kinetic energy of the vectors. When they started beating seconds later, the wasp settled into a hover, reevaluating his tactics. Engaging up close would result in serious damage. For now, the best thing to do was engage in a fire fight: using his plasma beam to weaken key points before finishing with his drills.

A streak of white surrounded by a twisting red glow smashed into the mechanical behemoth's damaged shoulder, searing through the mangled components that kept it attached to its torso...

Titan groaned, reaching up an armoured hand to block the rest of the beams energy. Fires broke out immediately amongst the mangled shoulder, Dantan crew rushing in to carry out the wounded and try fight the flames.

Titan fired another shot from the Gamma cannon at the wasp, the molten projectile rocketing towards the wasp at twice the speed of sound

Spinnerax reared up and braced for the inevitable impact, being blown back a considerable distance by the blast. His display flickered violently before he recovered several tens of meters away, leveling out and landing hard in a district of low lying buildings. That was just another weapon he'd have to be wary of from this invader.

The cyborg wasp fired another stream of plasma from his horn as he took to the skies again...

Titan again moved his arm to try absorb the impact. The plasma beam collided with the side of his forearm, smashing through the weakened armour and drilling a hole right into the maintainence deck within. A blast rippled out of the arm as fuel lines were severed, several Dantan's been thrown out through the breach, falling to the streets below in flames. The giant machine reached out with it's gravity gun, an orange beam blasting out and grabbing hold of a large billboard. The billboard was violently ripped from it's supports, being sucked towards Titan before suddenly being projected out into the air towards the airborne wasp.

Spinnerax batted the billboard away with a drill, shredding it into two pieces with chunks of various sizes raining down onto the ravaged metropolis below. Channeling energy into his horn, the celestial wasp started conjuring another blast of plasma, rising higher into the air in preparation for its release...

Titan took two steps forward, assuming a wider stance, the machines giant feet sinking into the pavement as if it were soft dirt. He reached behind his back, the electro spear being dragged into his grip by the gravity gun. He drew the spear forward, held in one hand, his own plasma projector charged and ready to meet the wasp's attack.

With one unison beat of his four wings, Spinnerax launched himself over the invading robot, folding his wings as he arced through the air above it. Before it would have pivoted its torso to face him, the wasp was in a dive, unleashing the stream of plasma into his opponent as he fell headlong from the sky, burning a seam along Titan's damaged shoulder...

Titan raised his spear, training it on the wasp and using it's head to block most of the plasma beam, sparing his shoulder. Titan charged his gravity gun to full power, but remained on the defensive.

The wasp's wings spread just before he fell onto the roofs of the city's buildings, tucking his body tightly inwards and angling himself back towards the machine terror. His back skimmed across the rooftops with only a bit more than ten meters between the cyborg and the buildings under him, the gust of wind caused by his passing blowing discarded newspapers and other litter along the streets. Adjusting the attitude of his wings, the cyborg gained altitude and twisted himself upright just before his four legs slammed into the back of the mech, barbs boring into its armor, anchoring onto it...

Titan swivelled around to face the incoming wasp, tracking him as he flew. The machine braced itself, it's crew preparing for the impact. Titan kept the electro spear levelled with the cyborg the whole way, at the last moment jabbing it forward, the wasp's own momentum aiding the spear as it punctured right through the monsters upper chest. The pair slid back, Titan barely staying upright as he absorbed the impact. Titan held a firm grip on the weapon, using his other hand to help support the cyborg, electricity suddenly arcing off the spear as it released it's charged power into the wasp, trying to electrocute him and fry it's circuitry.

The familiar jolt of having power surge through his cybernetic body registered instantly, systems threatening to go offline in seconds with little time to cope. His fights with the three headed terror meant he was well adapted to handle such a situation. Channeling the excess power into his horn, Spinnerax was able to reduce the harm of the weapon's immense charge and fire a full powered beam in seconds at point blank, blasting through the robot's impaired shoulder.

The blast ripped through Titan's shoulder, exiting out the back and continuing through a city building behind him. With a groaning of twisted metal, the arm came away, fire pouring from the breached decks. The arm still held a firm grip on the spear, it's auxiliary power kicking in immediately. Titan was stunned momentarily by the impact, crews all over the giant machine having braced themselves after the impact. A siren sounded the all clear and they immediately returned to their posts. Bunker doors all over Titan's chest and in his remaining shoulder opened up. Dantans swarmed to the windows, opening fire on the wasp with their weapons. They sprayed plasma fire and rockets up at the yellow and black sky which had enveloped them. Howitzers were rolled forward in Titan's left shoulder, the heavy guns opening fire in unison, spitting heavy plasma rounds towards the cyborg.

Titan brought up his fully charged Gamma cannon into the cyborgs underbelly. Dantans scurried around the firing chamber, closing it's power off from the rest of the system in preparation. The weapon fired with a deafening thump, the molten round ripping through the wasp's body and exiting out his back, the force of the shot blowing the wasp into the air and off of the mechanical giant, his flaming arm still clutching the spear lodged in the cyborgs chest, the electro spear itself long out of power. Flames poured from Titans shoulder, fire fighters poured in to evacuate the wounded and isolate the fire's source.

Spinnerax disappeared in a cloud of smoke and dust. For the second time, he knew what it was like to be on the verge of death. Except this time, his opponent was not vanquished, and very much able to continue this battle. If he persisted, he would surely die.

His cybernetics were damaged, internal workings severed, mechanical and biological. Mending was a critical priority. The wasp rolled onto its side then maneuvered onto his feet, sluggishly at first but with his augmentations, he gained a burst of energy to retreat, standing up and taking to the skies with incredibly fast wing beats, offsetting the additional weight that was the spear and arm of the invader. Moments later, the wasp was high above the city, gone into the great blue sky.

Launching into space when he was so wounded would have just worsened his now fragile state...

Plasma rifle fire continued, lancing up after to the wasp as it retreated but gradually died out. The crew waited, tense, the battle stations signalling lights still active. The deep red light changed to a lighter shade and they relaxed somewhat. The immediate threat had left the area, but the mech was still in a hostile area and had taken damage as well as many casualties.

Up on the severed arm, the surviving crew made their way to the only un damaged bunker left on it. The order had been to re group and assess their options. Most of the arms crew had been killed, but the marines aboard the electro staff had faired better. They still didn't stand a chance against the wasp alone, the commandered ordered them to abandon the limb. They set the arm's auxillary power unit to over load and self destruct, then made their way back to the bunker and leapt off, going 4 at a time, hoping to avoid the giant cyborg's attention as they sky dived back down to the ground.

The gigantic wasp did not pay the aliens mind as they bailed from the dismembered arm, however the rising power flux in the limb did manage to catch his attention. With quick action, Spinnerax stabbed a drill into the wrist and spun the weapon, ripping through the connections and joints binding its hand to its forearm. By time Spinnerax pulled the drill out, the bulk of the arm was discarded, exploding into a fireball moments later, the cyborg wasp caught by the shockwave. Beaten, punctured and now singed, Spinnerax prepped his vector beams and folded his wings, completing the last stage of atmospheric exit with low powered pulses.

A large, ominous cavern hid the entrance to the Kryll's massive udnerground hive. What appeared as a simple cave was actually the main passageway for the Kryll to renew their ravenous plundering of the jungle....

Land was visible off in the distance for the newfound buddies. Both were tired and would enjoy that resting spot....
