Shadelight and Wolfheart sat under the shade of a tree as they talked in furious whispers. "They're only 3 moons old, we have plenty of time to talk about this," Shadelight hissed. "I just want to know if my mentorship is assured," Wolfheart whispered back. "That's not up to me anymore, if we were still a few cats out in the wilderness and still hardly a clan, yes it would've been, but now there are better candidates," she meowed and trotted away. "There's someone better than me?!" Wolfheart asked furiously. "Plenty and I have been thinking about they're future and there are better and more deserving candidates than you, Wolfheart," Shadelight hissed turning on him. Wolfheart backed off then dropped his head letting Shadelight walk away.

Stormkit pounced on Sootkit. "I got you this time Pureclan scum!" he mewed. Sunkit layed in the sun nearby and watched them play. They had grown very close to the other kits in the past few weeks and they loved each other like brothers and sisters. Sunkit saw her mother walk out of the brush and head toward the fresh kill pile. They had an arguement, again, Sunkit thought and shook her head as she turned back to Stormkit and Sootkit's game.

Wraith eyed his mate and Wolfheart with a sigh. walking up to Shadelight, his tail came up over her side as he growled "What's wrong?". he had learned ages ago the best way to cool someone down after an argument was to let them talk out their frustrations and annoyances...

Shadelight turned to her mate and smiled wistfully. "Nothing, just talking about the kits," she said and picked up a vole.

Wraith raised a brow and growled "What about them? you sounded upset...it's not the first time either". a tone of conscern was in his voice...

That was true. The arguements were piling up as the kits grew older and she wished that Wolfheart would stop bringing it up! "He was wondering about their apprenticeship," she growled as she bit into the vole.

Sunpelt walked into Stormclan's camp. All the cats there now knew that she and the now newly named Sunclan were here to help them fight the new clans. She looked about the camp. Looking to see where all the cats were and looking for Wraith or Snowstar.

"Well the answer to that should be clear. we want our kits raised by the best available Cats. He simply doesn't cut it. he's good, but he's not up to the standards of say, Coldeyes or some of the other cats around. I intend to personally Mentor Nightkit, at least. it seems he's become so curious with my life as a leader that'll probably be the only way to effectively keep him out of trouble" growled Wraith simply. he spotted Sunpelt entering and shrugged it off. Snowstar knew she was an ally of sorts, so he could take care of whatever she was here for this time. he had family to attend to...

Shadelight nodded. She looked at Sunkit and smiled. She liked to observe rather than fight. "Sunkit fits more into the life of a medicine cat than a warrior, she's more observant and she cares about others even if she's forced to fight them," Shadelight purred. She was proud of her daughter and her sons, they would grow into strong cats and hopefully become great warriors. Stormkit couldn't wait to be an apprentice, he would rant about it for hours on end if he wasn't playing with the other kits.

Wraith smiled amusedly. Nightkit suddenly tackled his sister. "You need to play more!" he mewled as he started to bat at her head as he hurled himself back and forth over her. Wraith chuckled, before looking at Shadelight, growling "Anyway. would you like me to speak to Wolfheart?"...[/i]

Sunkit smiled and tackled her brother. "Maybe I don't play, so I can find out how to best you two," she mewed. Stormkit saw Nightkit and Sunkit playing. He ran over and tackled them both down. "Ha, you could never best me Sunny!" he said.

Shadelight smiled at her kits as they played. "No, I handled it," she meowed. "I don't want the point to get across to much."

"Yeah? well i could!" mewled Nightkit as he came up on top of Stormkit, tackling him to the ground, squashing Sunkit and Stormkit under his weight. Stormkit squashed Sunkit, and Nightkit made sure that Stormkit couldn't move...

Wraith nodded with a shrug, eying his kits with a chuckle. "A bunch of demons, they are..."...

Snowstar approached the rougue, or former rougue, and mewed "Welcome back, what is it do you need?"

Stormkit struggled under Nightkit. "Get off of me you big ball of fuzz!" he mewed and kept struggling. "Ouch, stop squishing my ear!!" Sunkit mewed from under Stormkit.

Shadelight smiled at them, then looked up at Wraith. "They grow stronger every day, I wish they would stop growing, I'll miss these days, I can see that without being a former medicine cat," she purred, then laid her head on her paws.

smoke rose lazily into the sky on the horizon... wafting over the air and passing over the secret clans.... a small crackleing in the distance hinting at the catastrophe brewing so close to their camp....

"I came to tell you that the rest of my clan finally arrived this morning. And all warriors are in the best fighting condition. So whatever Wraith is planning, he can go ahead with it." Sunpelt told Snowstar.

Snowstar didnt respond. He brushed past the cat and ran over to Wraith. He mewed "Terribly sorry to interupt" as he got close. He stopped a few inches from Wraith's flank and growled "Fire in the forest"

Shadelight looked at Snowstar then at Wraith then at the sky and saw the smoke, smelled it too. "Oh great Starclan," she whispered.

"Lovely" grumbled Wraith irritably as he yowled loudly, getting the attention of everyone in the Clan. "Cats! Time to move out! we have a fire nearby and with the surroundings it'd take a whole storm to put it out before it reaches us! we need to get moving! NOW!" he yowled as he started moving, going over to the Kits and growling "Stay with your mother", before rushing off swiftly to move the other kits and Elders out before the disaster reached them. what TIMING...it was like something otherworldly force definately wanted them DEAD...

Snowstar nodded to Coldeyes who climbed a tree and growled "Out the clan entrance and towards the lake!"

Shadelight trotted to the kits and nudged them in front of her. "Come on, loves," she mewed. Stormkit took the lead, but Sunkit stayed close to her mother as they exited the camp. "I never seen fire before," Stormkit said. "And you don't want to Storm," Shadelight told her son. He looked in the direction of the fire, then at his mother, nodded and quickened his pace.
