"They were absent from our trek here, yes" Snowstar mewed, catching sight of the farseer's clouded eyes. He felt sorry for her blindness, but once he saw that it wasnt a hinderence for Ulthwé, those feelings disappeared...

"As good as can be expected," Flamesight meowed, sitting and resting her tail over her forepaws. "Prey's a bit scarce out there, but the three of us did pretty good, all things considered."

"Three?" Silverstripe meowed, confused.

Ulthwé nodded, smiling. "Then this truly can be a purely diplomatic meeting. No blood will be shed, not even that of the savages." she meowed, taking a seat near the edge of the pool. "You must excuse us, we have little experience with cats outside the clan...or rather, civilized cats outside the clan. Is there anything you wish to ask of Novaclan?"

Flamesight blinked. "Fireflower, Smokestorm and I."

"I have my own questions about you cats..." Snowstar mewed. "For starters... how did you get that marking on your face?" he growled, reffering to the diamonds..

Ulthwé chuckled. "Ah yes. I trust you've noticed the similarities? I would tell you it involves magic and sacrifice, but then I would be lying." she joked, still chuckling. "To be honest, Snowstar, even the clan does not know how it happened. Many of the clan, mostly the she-cats, possess this trait, which seems to appear in every generation of their kin. It seems a lot of our ancestors possessed the mark for one reason or another" she explained with a twitch of her tail...

Silverstripe nearly fell back again. "They're alive?!" he meowed, looking about, easily spotting Smokestorm, who was among the cats who were now staring at him, having somehow not noticed the winged cat before now. "Fireflower...alive..." he murmured, suddenly feeling a surge memories, having had strong feelings for the flame colored she-cat when they were young...

"Very much so," Flamesight meowed, amused at Silverstripe's reaction. As she spoke, Fireflower herself slid out of the den, yawning and trying to wake up fully. "And if they're not...well, then, there are a couple of StarClan cats in your camp and no one has noticed."

Wraith thought about it. it made sense. "What about how you came here? I've never seen a Novaclan cat in this area before yesterday, and i was once a loner, roaming all over these lands, so you can't've been around here that long....especially seeing as your not too used to anything but the savages, as you call them" he growled...

"Birth is magical as is" Snowstar mewed slyly. He then mewed "And your pelts! Ive been dutious on how I groom myself but... how you Novaclan cats clean is something I'd like to know..." He had a feeling it had to do with the clean waters that flowed through the cavern, filtered natrually through the rocks no doubt...

"You are right, we were not always here. Farseer Taldeer, the previous Farseer of the clan, led them to this region. Our clan's home before this was not in any danger, but my predecessor was drawn to this place...and the clan followed. The entrance to this cavern didn't exist until recent times, after we had arrived. Strange activity on the cliffs above split the rock and stopped soon after. That, and the boost in our numbers my traveling to this region, made Taldeer a highly praised leader. Her feeling allowed the continued existence of the clan." Ulthwé explained to Shadowsoul first, before turning her head to look at Snowstar, smiling. "You are very observant...a much desired trait." she meowed, nodding. "Yes, many of Novaclan's members enjoy the cool waters of the stream. It also serves a practical purpose; if our pelts are kept clean and free of debris, it is less for our enemies to see or smell. As for scarring...our warriors generally don't give our enemies the time to fight back. I assure you, the cats that are condemned to retribution have no chance of innocence." the she-cat explained, bowing her head slightly.

Silverstripe felt himself smiling as his eyes drifted between the three cats...Fireflower, who he had known since he was a kit, Smokestorm, who had been a friend since they joined the clan...give or take a few snide kittypet comments, and finally Flamesight, who the silver tabby had spent quite some time with...including the complicated business with Windclan.

"And what became of Taldeer?" growled Wraith, curious now...

"How fascinating," Shadelight commented, her tail swishing in excitement.

"She walks the endless sky, as all do in death." Ulthwé meowed somewhat solemnly, bowing her head in respect to her predecessor. "I was chosen as the next Farseer after her passing." she explained, even though that fact was fairly evident.

Snowstar nodded to the farseer's answer. Not much cats ventured into the waters willingly. His ears pricked at Wraith's question. This Taldeer sounded like Novaclan's equivilent to Shadowstar....

"Uh-oh. His brain's gone and wandered off again," Flamesight commented to Thunderheart with a snicker.

"Do you have any large scale enemies that a friendly Clan should know of? something on a Clan's scale?" inquired Wraith, wanting to check how safe an alliance with Novaclan truely was...unlike them, Stormclan was somewhat more exposed to risk. if any enemy of Novaclan were to know of an alliance, Stormclan would be a much easier target, both due to the lack of knowledge of their enemies and because of the geographic position...

"Wha? Oh...uh...right...good they aren't dead." Silverstripe snapped out of his trance, looking around, Thunderheart rolling his eyes, but said nothing. "Good you aren't dead either." Silverstripe meowed awkwardly to Flamesight, still trying to understand all that had just happened to him...

"Nothing larger then a few rogues. Our clan has made sure not to anger those groups that could cause serious harm to both sides, should violence be involved. This is why I wanted to meet the leaders of Stormclan personally...a formal meeting is much easier for one to cope with then our patrols running into each other by chance." Ulthwé purred, smiling faintly. "But not all things go as smoothly. There is the matter of Earthclan..." the Farseer began, trailing off with a frown.

"I have overheard the name once or twice by loners outside our borders....but i have yet to encounter them" growled Wraith. "I take it there were problems?" he inquired...

Ulthwé nodded to Snowstar. "We approached them with the proposition of peace. They claimed we were trying to convert them to our belief. Apparently, Earthclan does not have a belief like ours, even in something as natural as the stars. They seem very reluctant about dealing with other clans." the she-cat explained, still frowning. "So far, they have never intruded on our territory, or have been physically hostile to our attempts at peace. But we don't wish to simply ignore our neighbors, that is not the way of our clan." she continued...
