Demontalon tried to ignore the fact that her heart skipped a beat and sped up as she looked at Fogcloud. "What is it?" she mewed, hardly daring to let herself hope.

Taking a deep breath, Fogcloud mewed "I...I-"
"Fogcloud!" Someone behind him exclaimed. He turned his head, seeing a brown pelted she cat charging towards him. "What the-" What all he could say before Mudswirl slammed her head into his chest. "See? I told you he came back" Riverstone mewed some distance away, licking a paw. "Your not hurt are you?" Mudswirl mewed, pulling back to look at the gray tom's paws, trying to spot cuts and the like. "Bad time" He mewed, shaking his head. "A bad time to look at my brother?!" She mewed. "Really...really bad time" He replied.

Demontalon bit her tongue to keep her expression neutral, eying Riverstone and Mudswirl. Her disappointment was coupled with a faint trace of anger directed at Fogcloud's siblings. What timing, she thought bitterly.

"Bad time for what?" Mudswirl mewed, looking from Demontalon to Fogcloud, back to Demontalon and back to Fogcloud. Her lips curled at the corner of her mouth and it looked like she was fighting back a snicker. "Yes" Fogcloud mewed simply. "Alright then..." Mudswirl mewed wryly. "But if I see claw marks on your cheek-"
"Leave him alone, Mudswirl" Riverstone growled. "He obviously has a lot of catching up to do" She too, had the weird look on her face. The she cats moved on their way, leaving an embarrassed tom in an awkward situation...

After a long, tense silence, Fogcloud mewed "Aw, to hell with it!" He couldnt find another way to say it and he was done beating around the bush. "I love you, Demontalon... and I dont care about the time its going to take until things are...normal between us...but I just wanted you to know that"

Demontalon felt her breath catch in her throat. She searched Fogcloud's gaze, looking for the truth of what he was saying, even as she heard herself murmur, "I love you too, Fogcloud. I wish I could've told you before...everything that happened. Things will go back to normal, though, given time. I promise."

"Im glad" Fogcloud mewed, gaze dropping to the ground. "I just couldnt wait until then to tell you how I feel..." He began chuckling after. It was a strange mix of both relief and nervousness. "So how's the shoulder?" The tom mewed, eyes raising back to look at the she cat...

"Much better than it was," Demontalon meowed, flexing her shoulder muscles. "A little while longer and I should be up for hunting and the like." She gave the gray tom a curious but concerned look. "How're you feeling? You came running into camp like there was a pack of rabid dogs on your tail..."
Auburnpelt let out a triumphant purr and lifted her recent catch - a young sparrow. She glanced around quickly and squeezed into a small, abandoned den dug under the roots of a tree. She started to eat with swift bites, her ears pricked to listen for sounds that might tell her something was after her prey.

"Well I dont feel like I sprained anything on the way back, so I guess Im good enough!" Fogcloud mewed, as if proud of the fact. "Guess who I was thinking of on the way back?" He growled with a grin.
The black ringed tail swished back and fourth as the tom made his way to make the announcement. He bounded over the mound of dirt that was just above the entrance of the leader den, allowing him sight of the entire camp. Once in position, Snowstar mewed loud: "Cats of Storm clan, gather to hear that another lost soul has taken their place back amongst us" He watched as heads turned in his direction. "Fogcloud has completed his trial and has taken back his rank of Warrior, unharmed and willing to serve us well"

"Im looking at her" Fogcloud mewed as he closed his eyes and let his head droop a bit. He wasn't a romantic, and he couldnt help but feel embarrassed at his attempts to be one.
Snowstar leapt off the mound and over the den entance, landing by his deputy's side. Coldeyes pricked an ear when the leader hit the ground. Other than that, he didnt react, monitering the clan's activites. "Anything interesting?" Snowstar mewed. Coldeyes growled matter of factly "Nothing particular. Daggertooth and a few others went on a gathering trip to get herbs for Haze or fresh kill if they can. Other cats are doing things around camp. Others are lazing about" Snowstar nodded and mewed "Are you bored?"
"Why should I be bored? I havent been in a fight for moons and there hasnt been an outburst from any of the cats" the deputy mewed sarcastically. "You'd think Silverstripe would keep me occupied, but sadly, no"
"Im sure you'll find something to do in due time" Snowstar replied with optimism before slipping into the den.

Meanwhile Wraith walked through the territory, checking the spots he knew to have traps. he came across a dead cat, caught in one of the traps. undoubtedly the one Fogcloud told him about. he noted what appeared to be the remains of deathberries on the ground by the cat, the scent identifying it more than anything else. Nicely done he thought. wouldn't've done it any other way himself. turning away he continued searching for traps...
