Fatalis left, seeing that it wasn't his place to speak. this was basically one big family, and right now, they were re-meeting eachother for the first time in a long while, so he decided to leave them. he jumped up into a tree, and sped off. he decided he'd explore the island. his friends, the other Lone Wolves, were probably loaded with new information about what was happening lately, and he was in the mood for some new news. he shot off, and after a couple of hours, was out of Crusher's territory, and entering one of the Lone Wolves' favourite meeting places. one of many spread throughout the island, all of which being small havens which most other predators cant reach.
As Fatalis neared the meeting spot, he picked up the scent of another Raptor. it was a familiar, unpleasent one. it was one of his old mutated pack members. he bore his teeth, his killing claws pulled up into a ready position, his eyes widening to take in everything around him. he kept going towards the haven, but just as he was coming close, a raptor bark came from above, in one of the trees around him. his breathing hard, his mind working furiously to come up with a plan, to catch what was in the trees. then, he saw them. 2 sets of red, glowing eyes, and 3 yellow ones. One of the red sets moved as the raptor revealed itself, jumping out of the tree and landing on the ground in front of him. the mutant was typical, a dark reddish brown back with a greyish stomach, the 2 colours split by a white stripe. the only unusual thing was that this one had pure black quills over it's head, instead of red ones like the other mutants had. it said "Ahhh....Fatalissss...it'sss been a while. why do you avoid usssss so much? im sure we're not that menaccccing...". at that, the yellow sets disappeared, and a set of glistening teeth appeared below the other set of red eyes. the raptor lunged out of the tree. this one had a scar over it's right eye, going downward to the mouth and stopping halfway through the lower jaw. Fatalis swished his tail as he hissed "Why wont you leave me alone? you know as well as i do that im not responsible for this. it was a thing that none of us could've avoided". the raptor hissed "Ahh, but you dont seem to see that your foolish playing led the beast straight to us. and even if you were telling the truth, your condition proves otherwise. unlike us, you haven't returned to the pack, and your not one of ussss...". Fatalis hissed "I learned years ago that being in a pack meant trouble. alone, your much harder to track, and only need to worry about yourself. in a pack, you have far too many responsibilities. un-needed responsibilities for me. and why should the attack be considered my fault just because i had the mental strength to avoid drinking the water? that part of it was your fault alone. i have nothing to do with your weakness". the raptors hissed, and the second one snarled "We are not weak! you are! We are no longer the weaklings we used to be, and never will be again! we are the most intelligent, powerful, skilled and speedy of all raptors. we are PERFECT, unlike you, you disgusting abomination". Fatalis hissed "I think i'd rather be an abomination than an insane predator that only hunts for it's basic needs, and ignores the other important things in life". at this, the raptors hissed again, and one jumped forward, and hissed "silence, you insignificant insect, or we'll crush you like the Brachiosaur dung that you are!". Fatalis hissed "It is not your place to stop me. NO ONE stops me. i am not part of your pack anymore, and never will be again. i dont care what you think of me. i am a Lone Wolf, a survivor, superior to you, and proud of it! and nothing you say can make me change my ways". the raptor hissed "We never tried, you fool.we want you to suffer as we have suffered. we want all the survivors to suffer the pains we suffered during our lives after the attack. and now....the time....has come...to...DIE!". at that, the raptor lunged forward, the one next to it joining it, and 2 raptors jumped at him from either side, and one jumping at him from behind. as the 4 raptors lunged at him, he jumped upward, making them collide with eachother. he then ran off into the trees as fast as he could, going ever higher as he went, to try and lose them, before they could recover and chase him. it worked. after half an hour of climbing and running, he was high above in the trees, and the raptors walked past him below, not noticing him, "You FOOL! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO JUST KILL HIM! NOW HE KNOWS FOR SURE WE WANT HIM DEAD, AND HE'LL BE TWICE AS DIFFICULT TO FIND!!!" Snarled the Scar-faced raptor to the other one. one of the yellow eyed raptors, the females, hissed "SILENCE! It's over now. there's nothing we can do. let's just return to the nest, and later we'll recollect our ideas on what to do about this pest. it's no help that Night was killed by a vengeful lone wolf from a pack he and Riptide wiped out. that one needs to pay as well. she killed our most important ally, our key to killing Fatalis. maybe we'll pay her a visit...". the raptors walked away silently, and Fatalis was left stunned. these raptors knew Night? they knew Steeltalon? if this was the case, they probably had a plan on what to do with Steeltalon and him. that meant trouble for both of them. as soon as they were out of hearing distance, Fatalis ran as fast as he could for Steeltalon's territory, to inform her of the situation, and to learn as much as possible about Night and Riptide as he could...

"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
