Hunter nodded, and turned away and walked after his father. he saw him walking back to the nest. he ran to catch up. when he got there, he growled "Dad?". Crusher looked at him, and growled "What is it, Hunter?". Hunter went silent, at first not knowing whhat to ask next, fearing a wrong word may bring down heavy criticism on him by his father. Crusher knew what Hunter was thinking, and growled "What you did just now was good, Hunter. Ignoring all that Spinos have done to us in the past to insure fairness. what you did today may help in the future. if, one day, for some reason, you were ambushed, or had a problem that you couldn't solve alone, Those Spinosaurs may remember you, and might help you. You have laid the foundation for peace between our family and them. they will tell other Spinosaurs they know, about how a young Tyrannosaur stood up against his father's opinion and life lessons, to insure that they were treated fairly. you were lucky. other Rex fathers would exile their sons for such an act of seeming betrayal by protecting those who cross the family. They will remember that fact from other situations where Rexes have been killed crossing their fathers' paths, and they will remember that act as one of kindness and trust in their word. and THAT, is what will probably save your life one day. words can't express how proud i am of you. to risk exile for the sake of insuring fairness for creatures that have done so much in the past to hurt us, to give them a second chance...that is something only the bravest of Rexes would dare do". Hunter was completely surprised by his father's response. "You're....You're not angry about what i did?". Crusher shook his head and growled "Not me, no. other fathers would go as far as to kill their sons at a disobedience like this. but i didn't have a father to do that, and i'd prefer my sons dont remember their father with distaste and hatred. I also realise that we will never maintain our position among predators if we dont learn from our mistakes, and learn from our experiences. what you did will raise the opinion other predators hold of us, and that will help keep our family safe from clashes with them in the future. now, let's go get something to eat. we'll worry about this "Bloodlust" after we've eaten". Crusher then changed direction towards the game trail...where the smell of prey and the smell of a predator could be picked up...a rather unpleasant, annoying predator at that; Allosaurus. Crusher could also smell a very faint scent of raptors...familiar ones...
Fatalis hissed "I'll kill the one who approaches me offensively first. i'll try to pick them off...make them feel fear like they have made me feel for the last few months...make them wish that death would come sooner. terrify them at night. stalk them and kill off the ones they least expect. i'll re-teach them the meaning of the word Fear. i'll embed it in their hearts forever.i'll make sure that i dont let a single one of them escape my wrath. they WILL pay...."
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
