Snarling from the slashes, Gothmog tail whips his foe multiple times to his arm, while swinging his right claw at his foe's belly, leaving a long, bloodied cut..........

Shredder roared as the cut was made to his belly. It was painful, but shallow, and not critical. As he was being tail whipped, Shredder hit Gothmog's tail upward, then caught it between his teeth, biting down. Bone could be heard cracking, as the tail, struggling and whipping around, tried to get loose...

"Good morning," Selena called. Blade's shifting seemed to rouse Alira - as the mutant look-alike watched she stirred and lifted her head, blue eyes opening. Alira blinked a few times and her jaws opened wide in a yawn. Murmuring a good morning, she slowly got to her feet, stretching out the muscles and joints that had stiffened overnight.

Aircrest slowly lowered his body as he moved through tall grass that sprouted up near one of the lakes. "Perfect" The raptor thought. While the trees thinned out at this part of the forest, the grass offered exceptional cover while he stalked towards a herd of iguanadon. The monumental beasts grazed at the lake side plants while a few would raise their heads to scan the area. The adults formed a barrier as all the young stayed on the other side of them, near the water. "Damn..." the raptor growled softly. He laid down on his stomach, his legs held in a pre-sprint position. When he saw his opening, he'd strike...

Gothmog snarled from the bite before slashing his foe multiple times across the belly, attempting to disembowel his foe.......

This time, when Gothmog attempted to slash his belly once more, Shredder was ready for it, and caught the theropod's hand in his mouth. Using that leverage, he pulled the enemy toward him, then headbutted him, making him fall on the ground.
Time to finish this, he thought. He firmly placed his massive foot on the foe's already injured neck, preventing any kind of movement. He smirked when he remembered that he had once been in this beast's exact same position before, against the Carcharadontosaurus, Gigus.
"Tell me why I shouldn't just crush you into oblivion right now," the Spinosaur growled...

As the dew on the trees at the edge of the park fell off, the mornin glight revealed the butchered remains of the Lambeosaurid kill, the owners of the now desecrated carcass lay sleeping in the garage of the house, both Lightfoot and Goldeye sleepin gagainst the towerin gfigure of Spike, the Spinosaurs wounds in the slow process of healing...

OOC: How the heck did the Spino do that if it's holding onto Gothmog's head and Gothmog's arm level is WAAAY too far down for him to see him slashing at him?

Gothmog snarls.

"Why do you even question why?"

Th giga gets to his feet and slams into his foe's side using his side, making him seutmble.

"Morning" grunted Blade as he stifled a yawn, shaking his head and snapping his jaws suddenly, jerking him awake...

"Good" growled Fatalis with a satisfied smile. "I wouldn't make a habit of sleeping on these human things though. sleeping funny is the fastest way to get a cramp, and that can really ruin your day if you can't get rid of it easily...can make moving around difficult" he warned. "Now. you three want to come with me and check our kill. see if there's anything left of it? or would you rather wait here for a bit while i check?" asked the black and white, yellow-streaked raptor...

"Good. you're better off not getting used to it at all. take it from me, waking up expecting something and being pleasantly disappointed is way better than the alternative.....at least until you're big enough not to have to worry about being actively targetted" growled Crusher. "But enough with the survival chat. it's time we figured out how on earth we're going to find Ripper" he added, unaware that the very creature he was looking for had already found him...watching in the shadows of a hallway in a building above, the shattered window giving a clear vantage point for the Raptor...

"Decent sleep?" Selena asked as she decided to chance being on the ground with the two bigger predators. She leaped, landing on one of the tree roots. She could feel the bark under the thick moss, but it was like bone under skin - it wouldn't be a bad place to rest your head after all.

"Better than i've had since we came here, actually. nice to actually have friends around me" growled Blade with a smirk. "you?" he added, speaking to both Alira and Selena...

The herd continued grazing, their formation never breaking. The raptor's hunger ate away at his patience, and so he let out a loud screech from his cover, shooting through the long grass at a diagonal. The sauropods, spooked by the call broke off into lumbering jogs, fearing a sudden onlaught of raptors. Another thing about being a loner- he was generally unpredictable. Suddenly, his target came into view. An iguanadon, just older than a hatchling it seemed, broke out of the wall of green scaley hides, stumbling awkwardly into the long grass. The take down was swift, with the raptor's tail flailing up over the long grass as the prey was forced into the ground, a flurry of movement following as the carnivore tore into the struggling hatchling until it finally fell limp...

"Same," Alira growled with a faint nod. Selena put in, "Feels like an eternity since I slept so well." The raptor flexed her stiff leg muscles, letting her killing toes slam into the moss as she set each foot back down.

Rhojis and Sylicora exchanged a glance, the gray raptor hissing, "Well, we don't know for sure that there's a good reason to stay back..." "That's the thing though... we don't know," his sister added. They turned to give Howler a questioning look. "What do you think?"

The green Lili felt as helpless as ever. At that moment, the task of locating the raptor seemed truly impossible. If the normal methods of tracking didn't work on Ripper, the only thing left was to somehow make it known they wanted to speak with him and hope he was in the general area. "Uh... I don't suppose looking for his scent trail would work... and I wouldn't be able to help with that anyway, since I've never met him..."

"You know, I'm quite sick of hearing about this 'Ripper' character. I've met him...not exactly the thing of legends." a voice growled from one of the trees nearest to Crusher and Switchblade. Darkness dropped down to the ground with a low thump, craning his neck from side to side to loosen it. He was able to smell the two creatures from the tree he spent the night in...they were making quite a racket as well...

The Liliensternus' head snapped around, long neck curved to look over her shoulder. Instantly her amber eyes went wide as she recognized the dark gray raptor. The rest of her body turned slowly around, gaze never wavering, even as she took an instinctual step backwards, eventually finding her voice and murmuring, "Dark... ness...?"

"Ah. Darkness. was wondering whether or not you'd turn up here" growled Crusher as his eyes narrowed on the Raptor. "I knew it was all but imposible for you to actually avoid running at the nearest human. life treating you well?" he added with a smirk...

"I don't know about you two, but i'm hungry" growled Blade, an untimely groan faintly audible, Blade's stomach seemingly agreeing with him...

The rising sun's rays hit the eyelids of Lightfoot, causing the Ceratosaur to wake up. looking around him, the fish eter decided to go out on patrol, Lightfoot snuck away from Gldeye and Spike, heading off in the direction of the building that they had goten the Lambeosaur kill from...

"Not in the slightest." the dark raptor responded casually, turning his attention to Switchblade. "Yes...you managed to remember my name. This is quite an achievement for you, I guess." he growled, though with a humorous tone, this being the closest the raptor could get to "harmless joking".

The Lili blinked, an eye narrowing slightly as some of the initial shock began to ebb off. The raptor seemed different from the last time she saw him. It was oddly unnerving. She couldn't decide if he was really as calm as he looked, or was merely masking his true intentions. She hissed, still looking a bit shaken, almost afraid to say anything for fear it might set something off, "I wasn't expecting to see you... are you here for uh... anything in particular?"
