Deviant raised his guns, the thought "I knew you were built to kill you f*cking peice of scrap!" appearing in his mind, when suddenly the vocie replied matter of factly "S.H.I.E.L.D is an open orginization. Do any search for Nexus Incorperated and you will find nothing. Our revenue comes from several businesses across the globe with ties that link back to this very facillity. There is no trace of us. Theres that- and the fact S.H.I.E.L.D's command is a giant Helicarrier- much different than an underground research center"

As Deviant brought his gun up, the hornet's arm shot up, catching the weapon's barrel and jerking it down, twisting it out of the man grip. The weapon dropped to the floor, clip tumbling out and it's slide jammed.

While doing so, the machine continued matter of factly "Nexus incorporated? Your friend's suit sparks a cord with Shield... Could you tell me more?"

"Like I said before. S.H.E.I.L.D introduced a combat suit. This facillity created our own specialized suit. Our N.C.M- Nexus Combat Modual AKA Project Deviant is a more agile version of S.H.E.I.L.D's suit, the operative wearing it cybernetically enhanced so that he could accomplish what an ordinary human could only dream of. Able to tackle with your everyday thug, or your super powered sociopath, Deviant was meant to assist law enforcers while leaving little trace of Nexus involvement. His attack on you was motivated by the fairly recent attacks on the city... such as that robotic scorpian destroyed by a local mutant some time back..." The voice replied.

Deviant snarled "Because- like the scorpian, Beetle wings here was designed to KILL werent you?!"

The Hornet replied, amused "pray tell, what were your pistols designed for? Or do they fire healing bullets?
You of all people should know that capability does not imply design. I CAN kill, but that is not my purpose."

"So what is your purpose then? Who created you and why did they let you out on the streets?" Deviant shot back at the robot...

The Hornet chuckled and replied "Why did they LET me out? Onto the streets? So much assumptions... Don't you know, information is a commodity when your in my condition? What are you offering?"

"To repair you to the best of our abillity" The voice replied to the Hornet. "In exchange to answering our questions..."

The Hornet paused for a moment and then replied "I only want materials. I can repair myself. Then I'll answer your questions, to a resonable degree, anyway"

"Fair enough." The voice said simply. The elevator slowly came to a stop. It had a slight jolt of movement as the door slid open, revealing a large chamber. People in white lab coats over saw drones building vehicles... LKT's, bipedal robotic walkers and other assorted projects. In one corner, someone was doing test runs on a blue eleptical shaped craft that had three landing gear underneath it. There were short wings on the front and back of the vehicle, and a propeller situated almost dead center underneath. The propeller spun up and the craft slowly rose up, the landing gear sliding up and into the hovercraft; the vehicle staying airbourn for a few minutes before touching back down. "Welcome to Nexus Inc. Progress right under your feet"

Maelstrom rotated in the air, palming the ground, his huge muscles bulged as he pushed himself up, he spun around, using the momentum to backhand Kevin again, sending the boy rolling. He took the moment to recover a bit from the noise, shaking his head, its senses were temporarily dulled. Maelstrom roared, slamming a hand into the ground pulling up a huge chunk of concrete and slamming it on Kevin's back. He held onto the piece ready for Kevin to retaliate.

As Maelstrom got ready to slam the chunk of concrete on to his back, SpeedFreak launched himself into a summersault through the symbiote's legs. Stopping in a crouch, Kevin got up and jumped, twisting about in mid air and slamming a foot onto the back of Maelstrom's head, making him stumble forward. SpeedFreak landed and quickly zipped around Maelstrom, stopping some distance infront of him...

Maelstrom slammed the slab of concrete into the ground, crumbling it into two boulder sized pieces which he dug his fingers into for grip. He roared as he charged forward, punching Kevin in the chest with one of the concrete stones, sending Kevin up into the air.

As the alien charged, the speed gifted hero leapt into the air, the hulking alien passing under him. SpeedFreak twisted as he fell, landing on Maelstrom's back. He slammed a fist into his head repeatedly with his super speed before kicking off of him, landing behind him in a crouch...

The symbiote turned around as soon as Kevin leapt off, grabbing the boy by the foot before he could touch down. He swung SpeedFreak over, slamming him into the ground before lightly tossing him up before batting him away with the concrete, sending the kid flying through the air and through the wall of a house.

Kevin slammed into the wall with a yell, sliding down it to the ground falling to his knees. "The police...have really bad...reaction time.." The boy said as he got back to his feet, joints cracking. He looked to his side, finding garbage cans...metal garbage cans. He smirked underneath his mask. He quickly grabbed two garbage can covers and ran back at Maelstrom, bashing the covers together. he continued doing so as he circled around the symbiote, the noise amplified by the boy's speed and strength...

The creature gripped its skull screaming, it had to stop this. Maelstrom Shot out a single tentacle, clothes lining Kevin and sending him into a face plant. Maelstrom roared, preparing to attack the child further until he saw the ground.
Faint red and blue lights dabbled the rough concrete surface. He looked towards the source, hearing the sounds of sirens, and seeing police cars rush into the area. Maelstrom roared slamming both fists into the ground, glaring at the cars as the men in uniform stepped out.
The police aimed their guns, fear in there eyes as Maelstrom lifted one of the broken concrete slabs and launched it at a police car, it tore through the first line of policemen, knocking them on there backs and slamming into the headlights of the closest vehicle, it caved the whole front of the car in, setting off the air bag.
The cops opened fire, bullets plunging into the moist, thick skin that the symbiote provided. He roared, his body shifting from the multiple impacts, none of the bullets touching the human inside's body. The symbiote pounded the ground again, letting off one last primal roar before leaping on top of a house, staring one last time at the wrecked street, chewed up asphalt and torn down houses and trees, he eyed Kevin once more before leaping away, bullets whizzing past him.

Kevin's back arced as he hauled himself back to his feet, staggering once more. He barely heard the thump when Maelstrom retreated over the sirens and gun shots. He turned around, looking at the cops. He stood there, breathing hard, body wracked with pain. It was oddly familliar to him...

The police men waited in awe at what they had just seen. Some were sending in reports and others were talking to each other in a matter of no time though. A small group of three inched towards Kevin, pistols loaded and ready. "Get on the ground kid!" a cop yelled, his gun shaking. "Not necessary." a voice interrupted. Nick Fury walked in, flashing his SHEILD badge as he passed the cops. He was followed by a small team dressed in black, who immediately began surveying the area and taking samples.
"Stand down sir." Nick said to the police men approaching Kevin. "This ones a friendly."

"Long time no see Nick... do you choose when you show up or not? Because there were several other times when I coulda used your..intervention...like...not AFTER the psychopath left" Kevin shot to the man, sarcastically...
