"alright. 'hurt' sound better? you be the judge.....one.....two....". three came with the removal of the blade, a swift, straight removal, exactly the way it entered to minimise the damage, as he drew part of a large sash wrapping over the strap around the gourd, ripping a part of it and putting it over the wound...

She bit down hard with a muffled hiss as the blade was taken out, and the brief burst of blood in her mouth did little to take her mind off of the wound. When she released her arm there were two neat puncture marks, and a tiny drop of blood forming in one of them. "Yeah...that hurt...ouch..." she muttered. With a slow crunch of bone and muscle as her skeleton adjusted, Yoruichi reverted back to her human form, worry and self-disgust apparent on her face.

A truck drove down the road. It was white. One both sides there was a picture of a barn on a stretch of green with the sun rising behind it. A meat transport. The truck was enroute to a restaurant down the way. As it made its way through the city, there was a soft thump on the roof, which the driver didnt hear. He had a white suit and cap on, ear phones on. He was listening to music as he drove. The blackish-grey canine's form morphed, becoming a blob which spread out over the truck's roof and down its side. It snaked through the small seams around the vehicle, moving through the truck and reforming in the back. It was a refridgerated cargo, with boxes of steak and other cuts loaded. The ink hound wonder folded his wings in and laid down in the cold, waiting until he reached his destination...

"You shouldn't have thrown yourself in the way of the knife. i would've caught it before it hit Yoru" said Gaara. "But i suppose there's nothing we can do about it now. you say your regeneration is fast. how fast is that, exactly?" he asked, as streams of sand began to shift along the ground, tinted red, as it headed towards him, the parts on the remaining assassins suddenly speeding up, grinding them down to a bloody pulp, the remains of the corpses seeping through the grains and onto the ground below, as Eleven was left hanging there...

"Excuse me for not knowing," Ira said, rolling her eyes. She sighed. "Yeah, we heal fast. A wound like this would probably keep a human down for a good while. For one of us...a week and a half, maybe. Some of us recover faster than others."

Eleven had started to mutter every nasty word that he knew. So now Seven was in the area as well. Didn't Zero trust anyone to do a job? No. Of course not. not even a little. This was the man who never gave his real name to anyone.

"good.....now...care to chat with our new 'friend'? or would you rather leave him to be tenderised out here for a while?" said Gaara, the sands shifting over the tattoo'd assassin's body slowly, tightening, scraping and loosening it's hold on him in various places as he made sure not to let him have any peace...not until they had their information...

Ira shifted, trying to push herself into a semi-upright position. "He's a demon," she said, noting the slitted pupils. "Tear a few holes in his wings and see if he's willing to talk." The membranes of their wings were actually pretty fragile. A few big holes in them, and a demon wouldn't be able to fly. Not to mention it would hurt like hell.

Eleven felt his eyes widen. Tear his wings? He wouldn't wish that on her. A demon depended on his or her wings to be able to fly out of sticky situations. No, he wouldn't wish this fate on even his worst enemies.

Gaara looked at Eleven, a malevolent smile creeping across his otherwise plain features, as the sand on the assassin twisted and turned around the back, easing the wings out and stretching them outwards, exposing them. Gaara smirked. "You could always tell us what we want to know....it'll make this all alot less painful" he said...

Eleven let out a wordless snarl, not daring to try and pull his wings back in and run the risk of breaking the bones in them. Yoruichi watched curiously, both relieved that her wings were feathered and wondering how badly this was going to hurt the assassin. Ira managed to almost sit up, leaning on the other teen for support as she watched, a dark sort of satisfaction in her eyes.

two thin streams of sand rose from the ground at either side of the demon, swirling in place for a moment, before one of the two shot forward at one of the wings, literally sandblasting it, boring a hole through it, initially barely visible, but steadily growing...

Eleven screamed, and Ira grinned. Blood-streaked fangs only served to complete the look of dark amusement. "Scream all you like," she whispered, so quietly she barely heard herself speak. "It won't help."

"I could offer you.....a release....i could offer you freedom.....if you cooperate" said Gaara, eyes narrowing, the sand stopping for a few seconds to give the assassin a chance to speak...

"Freedom..." Eleven hissed softly, his voice somewhat raspy. "A pretty word...one that holds no meaning." He looked up, narrowing his eyes as blood started to trickle from the wound in his wing. "I neither know where Zero is nor what he looks like. So sorry to disappoint," he added sarcastically. He could only hope his lie fooled them. He didn't know how much more damage his wings could take before he started to crack.

"wrong answer" responded Gaara, as th sands shifted again, stretching the hole downwards towards the edges of the wing...

Eleven screamed again, and Ira's eyes glittered. Yoruichi, who was torn between fascination and the urge to look away, glanced at the injured teen. She looks almost too pleased...did she know him or something?

Gaara raised a hand, the sand suddenly haulting again. "So, Assassin...maybe that refreshed your memory a bit?" he asked...

The truck pulled up an alley way to an entrance at the restaurant's side. It was a lavish establishment. There was an awning that stretched out from the door all the way to the end of the sidewalk. The building was made out of black bricks, the name "La lumière" was engraved in gold over the doorway. The entrance was a revolving door that had a bright orange finish and a strange multicolored window fixture. At the alley way entrance though, there was simply a door with a ramp. The truck driver opened his door and stepped out of the truck. He began to make his way to the door. The ink hound, who was just about to fall asleep jumped onto his feet, ready to act. The man pulled out a key card and put it to a reader by the door. There was three beeps and then a click as the door unlocked. It swung open. JoJo took the audible cue. By now, the driver would be heading for the container. A few moments after, the refridgerated container opened. The driver stepped into the crate to get the boxes of meat. He picked up each of the four boxes one by one before placing them on a cart. Unknownst to him, the inky creature had been over his head the hold time, pasted over the top of the container. His body dripped onto the driver, little by little as he was stacking his delivery. The blackish liquid became translucent and intergrated with the fibers of his clothing. When the man pushed the boxes into the restaurant, the ink shot off of his body, splattering against the nearest wall before sliding to the floor. Then the invisable blob moved across the velvet carpet towards the kitchen, careful as to keep away from the staff members, who shot back and fourth through the restaurant with the first customers of the day. When he got to the kitchen door, it swung open, a waiter stepping out and speed walking to a table. The blob slid through the opening before it closed, moving behind the stacks of boxes the truck driver had brought in. "...Well this defeated the purpose of zipping through the place..." he thought. The inky blob became visable again and it began morphing into the dog. His head poked out from behind the boxes, eyeing the orders that were finished. There was a plate of eggs and bacon. He smacked his lips when he saw it. He looked about the kitchen. The walls were a clean white, the stoves, washing machines and so on were all silver, and the chefs had white aprons on. They were all caught up in their cooking. He looked back to the plate of food and opened his mouth, inky tendrils shot out. They stuck to the plate and then yanked it towards him. He caught the plate in his mouth, the bacon and eggs still sitting on the saucer. "JoJo's breakfast special- eggs a la express! He growled before snapping up the bacon and the eggs, trying to be as quiet as possible...

Eleven felt himself go limp, quivering in the aftermath of the agony. Blood began to drip the the ground in a steady rhythm, going on for a few seconds before the assassin lifted his head. "I know nothing," he said, but the lie sounded hollow even to him.

"Come on....you and i both know that was a lie. i WANT to offer you a release, an end to all this pain, but my offers are being thrown back in my face" said Gaara. "Now. save yourself the pain. there's nothing in the world that's worth putting yourself through all this trouble" he added, the sands levitating around the red haired man as he eyed the assassin...

"Tempting," Eleven growled. "But I stand by what I said before. You're better off not knowing. Kill me if you intend to."

The tattoo, Ira remembered. As she tried to get up, Yoruichi held her back gently. Eleven switched his focus to the injured demon. The corner of his mouth twitched when he saw her gaze fixed on his left shoulder. "So... you're after the code," he said. He narrowed his eyes. "Don't waste your time. You'll never figure it out."
