Van walked into the mansion, not waiting for someone to let him in, hand on his revolver, expecting something to go wrong. He remembered seeing a library on the second floor, but only briefly. Its size and contents were a complete mystery to him. Moving quickly on, he walked up the stairs without hesitation, heading for the library...

[The Kingpin]

Drake raised an eyebrow as he entered, closing the door behind him. "It appears my survival has spread wider than i had hoped" he said, his tone cool, and neutral. not chillingly cold, so as not to give an impression of a murderer on any of the three sitting in front of him, but not warm and kindly, so as not to plant ideas of attempted murder on their part through an assumption of weakness. he looked at the two men, saying "Should i assume you're busy?". it was fairly clear by his tone that he didn't intend to leave if she was, but rather, to vacate her of that business...

[Shade]

Anastasia scoffed. "If there are men in the room, you assume I am busy?" she asked. "Of course, but it never gets in the way of business."

Thanatos looked up and glared he got up and headed for the stairs. He immediately went into high gear and made it to the first step in less then a second. "May I help you?" he asked irrated by this man's cheek.

[TyrannoTitan]

"We've been through this, I won't shoot you...for now." Van growled, stopping dead in his tracks. "I'm busy searching for a mutual enemy...The one who is currently trying to kill me and Drake, which would include you people as well..." he said calmly, his eyes watching the vampire carefully. "Said enemy has told me to go here...And my first assumption was the library."

[Shade]

Thanatos raised an eyebrow, studying him for a while then shrugging. "Alright, but just so you know, you can't get in, there's only one key that goes to it and I have it," he said taking out a key ring dangling the many keys to the mansion...

[TyrannoTitan]

"Ahh, I knew there'd be a catch..." Van said, shaking his head. "May I have the key, kind sir?" he said, stretching his arm out, hand open, waiting.

[The Kingpin]

Drake raised an eyebrow at the comment, but otherwise ignored it. "Then i take it you have time to speak about a certain Vampire Lord with whom you've been acquainted?" he continued, arms crossed...

[Shade]

Anastasia narrowed her eyes and started fanning herself slowly. "I am aquainted with many, you must be more specific then that," she said.

Thanatos narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "I'd like to join you," he said. "Some of those books are of great value and I don't have time for thieves."

[TyrannoTitan]

"Yes yes fine whatever." Van said, gesturing forward. "Well then, I guess I'll follow you..." he said simply, waiting.

[Shade]

Thanatos walked in front of him and started flipping through the keys. He selected the key as he came up to the library door. "I must warn you it's rather small, the former owner of this house wasn't much for books," he said and opened the door...

[Huntress]

Pandion sat there, in one of of the fine chairs. Though she looked as if she'd been through all of H*ell and was still not recovered. She was frail and had eyes that shone no light back.

[TyrannoTitan]

"I'm sure there are some documents in here somewhere..." Van said as he walked into the library, seeing that the vampire was right about it being small. Hopes dropping, Van none the less skimmed through the books, searching for something...anything...that included demons. Theirs weaknesses, their powers, their hierarchy...Van said nothing more to the vampire as he searched...

"May I ask what you are looking for?" Thanatos asked. He looked at some of the many empty spaces on the shelves. Any books of value to the slaves back then were burned years ago, leaving unattractive empty spaces on almost every shelf...

Nyx shook her head and walked toward Diana, but before she could she started dancing up to the stage. She looked at Vincent, who was gently beckoning Diana toward the stage. She hissed in disgust and she started to shove more forcefully toward her. Too late Diana had already stepped onto the stage and was dancing sensually next to Vincent. Vincent looked up at Nyx and smiled wickedly, winking just before returning his gaze back to Diana...

[TyrannoTitan]

"Demons...I need to find something on demons..." Van said, standing straight as he looked at the vampire, hoping whoever owned this place had done a little research into the supernatural...

[Shade]

"Ah," Thanatos said. He walked over to the nearest shelf and pulled out only three books. "These might help," he said. A few of the titles were commonly used like Demons: What They Are and Where to Find Them, How to Hunt Demons, and Demons: A Guide to Finding & Controling Them.

[The Kingpin]

"Oh, just a random Vampire Lord that seems to be toying with the Castes lately. goes by the name of Siete" said Drake simply, not giving the Vampire Dutchess' attitude any notice...

Van nodded in simple thanks, picking up the first book, Demons: What They Are and Where to Find Them. He flipped through the pages, seeing some...very disturbing origins of the foul beasts, and eventually came to a section with notable demons. Reading through a few, Van discovered a pattern. The more damage a demon did, the longer the section it had in the book. Eventually he came to the end of the section, and was now on "Demon Lords", which he assumed were like their vampire counterparts; powerful demons that ruled over the lesser ones. "There had been a number of Demon Lords throughout history, but only one has traveled to the mortal realm." Van read quietly to himself. "The powerful demon caused chaos during the medieval age of man, destroying many lives, both physical and spiritual." he read from the book, not knowing why this was suddenly very interesting. "A group of priests, along with other holy figures, supposed magi, and even people who claimed to be Warlocks came after the demon one night, and killed the beast, claiming divine intervention that saved their race. Even after the beast lay dead, its spirit was banished into an immense gem, which warlocks claimed was able to trap its spirit for eternity. Even then, the demon's influence spread, and they soon knew the gem was not enough. One of the high priests sacrificed himself, allowing the gem to be plunged into his skull, where he would combat the demon's spirit for all of eternity."

Van closed the book suddenly, thinking it was all nonsensical gibberish. Growling something under his breath angrily, he picked up the next book, which would hopefully give him information on how to kill demons...

[Shade]

Thanatos leaned against the shelves looking at Van with stern interest. "I don't mean to pry, but why must you have information on demons?" he asked.

Anastasia started to growl angrily and you could hear the splitting of would as her hand clenched around the arm of her chair. "What do you need to know about him?" she asked her voice hard and ice cold.

[TyrannoTitan]

"The 'man' who sent me to kill you and the others...He wasn't a man or vampire...But a demon from what I've collected." Van explained, flipping a page in the book. "He's doing something...I don't know what...But he tried to be rid of us all...He doesn't want anyone to get in the way...which is exactly what I intend to do." he said, glancing up at the vampire.

"Oh...so Giovanni was right pointing me your way...Let's just say he stepped on a bit of thin ice....now there are people asking for his head. i was hoping you'd be able to expand my knowledge of him" said Drake, his voice still cool and calm, unphased by the anger he saw in front of him. it seemed Anastasia may not be that much different to Nyx, Diana and Thanatos, afterall...
