Crusher woke up a few minutes after Fury fell next to him, seeing the 2 young rexes play fighting. he noticed the raptor scout snd growled "what brings you here, scout?". the raptor hissed "Scar wanted to know what had happened.". Crusher growled "Slasher and Scythclaw attacked my nest. i fought them off. tell Scar and the pack to be careful. they could attack again any time.". the raptor nodded respectfully and ran off, to inform his leader of the attack and the warning from Crusher. Crusher stayed still, too tired to do much, and watched the 2 rexes mock fighting. they were equally matched. Fury had speed, running circles around Hunter most of the time, but Hunter had power. when he did hit Fury, he often either stunned him long enough to land another, stronger blow, or pounded him to the ground in the first hit. he decided he'd go with the family and teach the youngsters how to fight. he looked at Rampage and found she had been watching thm as well. Crusher told her of his idea, and she agreed. Crusher growled "Hunter, Fury. lets go. i'll teach you how to fight.".
The group arrived at a small clearing that barely fit the whole family and acted as a demonstration area for them. Crusher growled "i could teach you the most dangerous ones, but if one of you makes a mistake and goes too far, you could kill eachother. we'll start with the basics.". he moved into the center of the clearing with Rampage. he would demonstrate his moves with her. her moves were basicly the ones she'd seen him do, so this would be a lesson for all of them on technique. Crusher growled "We'll start with a tail whip. you don't just swing your tail into your enemy. you have to control the flow. if you let it just wrap around the enemy, you won't knock it over. you'll just tie it up.". Crusher demonstrated the way most rexes tail whip, and the way he tail whips. unlike the normal ones, Crusher's way didn't wrap around the Rampage. his tail stayed stiff, only bending slightly. the difference was very obvious. on the normal one, Rampage barely flinched, but Crusher's made her stumble, nearly knocking her over. Crusher growled "now. you 2 try it. first do it like you were back at the nest, then follow my technique.". they did as they were told. they took it in turns. Fury went first, with the normal tail whip, which didn't even effect Hunter, and Crusher's, which knocked Hunter to the side, nearly falling over. when Hunter tried it, the first one made Fury stumble. the second, Crusher's, knocked him over. Crusher growled "be gentle. don't change the strength in each hit. keep it stable. you don't need to swing harder to cause more damage. it's all about technique. now, let's try a ram. normal rexes ram with there heads down, staying down when they hit the enemy. a better way is to swing your head upwards as you hit the enemy. watch.". he backed away from Rampage, and rammed her gently. she only budged a bit. Crusher backed away to the same place, and charged again, at the same speed, only this time he swung his head upwards as he hit Rampage. she was litterally lifted off her feet, but only a few feet off the ground, because he was being gentle. he growled "see the difference?". the 2 young rexes nodded. Crusher growled "you 2 try. Rampage, try it on me.". the 2 rexes tried it on eachother in turn, and Rampage tried it on her mate. her first ram didn't budge Crusher. the second made him move, nearly knocking him off balance. Hunter rammed Fury the first time. barely a movement. the second lifted Fury off the ground, and made him fall on his back. Crusher growled "gentle!". Hunter nodded. when Fury tried it, the first was absolutely harmless to Hunter. the second however, made him stumble. Hunter struggled to regain balance, but couldn't, and fell over. Crusher growled "i'll save the rest for when we have some live prey to practice on. for now, those should help very well if you get attacked.". they left the clearing, headed for the plains...
The family arrived at the edge of a river, hidden by the trees, looking out at a Para herd on the plains. Crusher growled growled "learn from what i do. look at the large, elderly Para over there. watch it. see how it lowers it's head? that's when you attack, because it isn't expecting it.". the Para raised it's head to swallow what was in it's mouth. then when it lowered it's head again, Crusher charged out. he bit down on the base of it's tail before it could get enough speed to get away, stopping it from going any further, and pushed it onto the ground. he held it down with his foot, and made a calling roar to his family. they came and Crusher growled "Fury, you go first. put your jaws on it's neck like you would when biting it.". Fury did as he was asked, and Crusher growled "now, tighten your grip until it stops kicking.". Fury did as he was told, and soon, the Para was alive, but paralized. if Fury let go, it would regain it's ability to move. Crusher growled "now, let Hunter try it.". Fury let go and the Para started kicking again. Hunter brought his jaws to it's neck, and Crusher growled "you have to be a bit more careful. your jaws are stronger. if you bite too hard, you'll break it's neck and put a load of holes in it.". Hunter started with no strength at all. he slowly tightened until it stopped kicking again, the Crusher growled "bite hard and fast!". Hunter did it and the Para was killed instantly. Crusher growled "that was a paralizing bite. it's used when you have a large opponent on the ground. now, let's eat.". they ate, and Crusher looked out on the plains to spot Scar's pack in the distance. he was sure that Scar had his own teaching to do. he could here a bit of sound from behind him, which told himHunter and Fury were doing something.....
