"Nah, it can't be Diana. Too obvious. Probably Drake, Thanatos, or myself. Maybe even Spencer, but I think it's afraid of him..." Velkor looked down the corridor. "Maybe we can take the b****** outside the building ourselves, somehow get it out, then get back inside before it can follow us."

[The Kingpin]

"But that would mean opening the doors for anything else that might've been following you" said Spencer...

[Shade]

"My thoughts exactly," Thanatos said. "Isn't there another way to get rid of a demon?" Diana said. "Yeah, what'd they call it an... exorcism?" Nyx said.

[The Kingpin]

"The procedure is too long, too drawn out and depends on demonic possession. a Demon moving around as much as this would be nearly impossible to exorcise" said Drake...

"Then we just have to kill it," replied Velkor. "Get someone who has knowledge of dream-fighting and use them to go into someone's dream to take the Nightmare out for good."

[Shade]

"Vincent knew a thing or two about that?" Diana said. "Vincent?" Thanatos and Nyx chorused. "Well yeah, he saved me in my dream, I told you Thanatos," she said. "You only said he told you that knew what your dreams were about," he said and crossed his arms.

"You sure it wasn't something you dreamt up by accident to help you?" asked Velkor.

[Shade]

"How should I know?!" asked Diana. "Maybe he's one of those supposed vampires that can enter another's mind!"

[The Kingpin]

"If that was the case, i wouldn't be surprised if he was working for Siete" said Drake...

[Shade]

Diana growled at Drake. "Why do you think that anyone who comes in contact with me is working for Siete?" she asked menacingly.

[The Kingpin]

"Tzimisce usually can't access dreams. in fact, it's completely out of their bloodline. Siete however, has already proven repeatedly that he is able to access your dreams and use them to manipulate your actions. judging by what we currently know, that leaves us with three options: A) that Vincent has gone through a couple of Rituals under Siete's influence to gain that kind of power, B) that Vincent in your dreams was Siete in disguise, or C) that it was something your mind made up to defend you" said Drake simply, vagely annoyed that Diana would aim for hostility at a time like this...

"I pick C," replied Velkor, raising a hand jokingly, but also backing away from Diana and Drake.

[Shade]

"Or they were turned in the 1700s and made 'smart' decisions to get where they are, through politics, aristocracy, and popularity," Nyx threw in. "And I know Vincent, there's really no telling what kind of power he actually does have, even Nik doesn't know!" Diana started to nod in agreement.

[The Kingpin]

"you can assume it's Vincent if you like. just don't assume that just because he helped, doesn't mean he's on your side. the vast majority of Vampires are selfish creatures. in most cases, they'd only protect something if there was something in it for them" said Drake warningly. more than once that kind of situation had struck him, and he knew exactly how Vampires thought when dealing with this sort of thing...

"And I suppose we're the exceptions?" Diana said walking closer to Drake. "Or are we selfish creatures?" Thanatos narrowed his eyes at Diana and his muscles tensed slightly, ready for trouble. Nyx also shifted toward Drake nervously. "Cause if you ask me, it's the human side that's the most greedy!" she continued.

[The Kingpin]

"As i said, the vast majority of Vampires only do things for their personal gain. you three happen to be among the ones that lack that trait. as for humans, i can't really comment. they're businessmen pure and simple. you do something for them, they do something for you. do something big for them, they do several things for you" said Drake cooly, his stone cold stare never breaking contact with Diana's eyes...

[Shade]

Diana started to growl, softly. She noticed how her friends would leap to defend Drake instead of her, no they wanted to protect this... half-breed! Thanatos would willingly leap to her rescue or help her in a situation she could win, but if it didn't help their benefit, he wouldn't even try. Nyx was a different story, she was a flip-flopper. One minute she could be on her side and the next jumping to defend Drake. "Why do you have to come with that stupid, confident, cocky attitude of your's!" she growled through gritted teeth.

"Confidence is a weapon greater than any blade or gun. cocky? try factual. stupid? honestly, that's as far from the truth of it as i could imagine" said Drake, his expression placid, his stare as calm as ever

[Shade]

Diana started to shake and her teeth grinded. Nyx moved to Drake's side and immediately her anger flared! "Why do you take his side!?" she shouted. "I've been your blood sister for 10 years and your friend for 24!!" She turned to Thanatos and he immediately shrank away from her gaze. "And you cowaring in some corner, not even going to try to stand up for me!!" Thanatos dropped his head in shame. "It's like you've all turned against me and for what, because we need him?!!" she continued and pointed an accusing finger at Drake. "We were better off without him, I was better off without, I'm better off without anyone and I'd take that chance if given it!" Nyx also dropped her head in shame, it was true they knew each other longer, than she knew Drake, but they did need him and he was right, in alot of aspects.

"Um, you ARE aware you're just making that Nightmare thing happier?" growled Velkor with annoyance. "The more you complain, the more likely it is to attack you again.'
