Darkness smiled at Steeltalon and turned back around. He again stared blankly, thinking about Sandstorm's words...

Sandstorm laughed and hoped off the tree he walked along wit hsteeltalon to the cave and hissed " Kill each other? no way! in fact talking to him has made me feel wayyy calmer and happer, as you can probobly see. Shadow leaf is getting better, soon she will be able to talk with us and then, well I dont no what we will do then, we have never been without a pack." he walked down into the cave and sat next to shadow leaf, he layed a hand on her neck and stood there still.

Steeltalon, sensing that there was nothing more there was to be said, went over to the caves and slipped inside. She saw Shadowleaf and Silver sleeping peacefully, so she quietly came back out and leapt onto an overhanging branch, settling down and relaxing completely.

Ghost had arrived back at the cave he was wondering if Bloodrose was wondering where he was. Ghost climbed up to the cave entrance and barked into the entrance to tell her he was there so she wouldn't attack him on accident. Ghost entered the cave and walked back to where Bloodrose was, she was sitting on the nest. Bloodrose? Ghost barked. Bloodrose looked at him and rose from her spot and looked at Ghost then the nest. Ghost then noticed why she was looking at the nest.... Three Opaque eggs were nestled amongst the leaves and ferns she had collected, each one the size of a large oval stone. Ghost looks at Bloodrose and growled softly. Ohh Bloodrose... Ghost then walks up to Bloodrose and nuzzles her as they curl up together and watch the eggs.

Darkness watched Steeltalon jump onto the branch, and he turned back away. It was hard enough to work up the nerve to talk to her before, how could he do it now? Sandstorm...help... he growled quietly to himself.

"What do you mean you can't talk to her? You did last night!" The voice echoed in Darkness mind. Not again! "But I don't even know if that was real! the second voice argued. "It doesn't matter if it was or wasn't. You still have feelings for her, express them!" the more determinded voice boomed. Darkness was ready to drown himself in the stream. "But what if she doesn't like that caring junk? What if it just makes her angry like the mating call?" This shut the other voice up.

Darkness sighed and rolled onto his back, stretching his legs into the air...

Steeltalon's attention was caught by Darkness' sudden motion. She smirked and barked, "Nice, Darkness." She closed her eyes and snickered to herself quietly.

After awhile Sandstorm stood up and walked out of the cave, he saw Steeltalon and Darkness up in the tree togethor. At first he smiled thinking they were getting along then he saw Darkness with his back to her ans she was laughing at him. He thought silently "ah crap mission failure" He decided to help out before things got worse. He Clambered up the tree and sat near the top. Desperate for conversation he snarled "So steeltalon, what exactly did you think when we suddenly dissappeared with out a word?"

Steeltalon turned to Sandstorm and growled, "I thought you were dead." It was true--Steeltalon had watched for their return but they never came. "And then you showed up, and I realized I was wrong."

He laughed "You werent far from the truth. If you hadnt taken me into care I wouldve died" He still couldnt belive how lucky he was that night.

Steeltalon nodded and glanced at Darkness. Steeltalon sighed and turned her attention back to Sandstorm. "It's the least I could do," she growled softly.

Darkness rolled back onto his side and coughed, seeing both of the other raptors above him in a tree. He tryed to join in the conversation, but couldn't find the right words...

Steeltalon stood, nodded to Sandstorm, and jumped from the branch to just in front of the cave entrance. She made her way over to her usual sunny spot and laid down, enjoying the sun's warmth.

Sandstorm growled accnowledging her "I hope Clawfist and Softfoot are alright.... I swear, last night, he was changed.... He was well darker. He told me that on his own he had killed 9 of the pack that attacked us, and dumped each body in the lake where we found Quicktooth. I swear he scares me to death"

After eating her fill, Switchblade cautiously tried running on her bad leg. She made a couple of laps around Redtooth and the thero carcas before her leg began to get a little bit sore. It was definitally getting better, but still wasn't very reliable for long. She looked at a grasshopper crawling over a fern and crouched down. She lined up her shot, wiggling her tail slightly, and sprang. Just as the insect jumped, her jaws closed over it. She chomped a couple of times to kill it, then walked back over to Redtooth and laid down to eat it.

Steeltalon heard Sandstorm from her place and barked, "So Clawfist and Softfoot were here! I thought I recognised their scents...but I would never have thought of Clawfist or Softfoot as murderers."
