Nightshade replied calmly "Then please, reverse it."
The Cypher finally managed to crack the last bit of protection on the Solar Generator. A final choice popped up on its GUI. "Confirm energy release"
He confirmed it.
The solar generator, resting at the bottom of the long helix that made up the Cypher's Ballistae IV cannon, suddenly begun vibrating. The energies within it swirled around angrily, pushing against the device's surface, its shape beginning to deform. Suddenly, a thin seam burst in its surface, a massive swathe of fire bursting out in a ray across the battle zone, sweeping along as the generator rotated, the arms which made up the Ballistae glistened, glowing white hot as the ray swept over them... Another ray burst out, this one shooting out across a massive distance, scoring across a Jr-10, it's shield bursting into flame momentarily.
Thara watched the screen carefully, confused as to what was happening... It was as if the machine was self destructing...
The narrators voice cut in once more "I do not hesitate, and I do not show mercy. I am your judge, your jury, your executioner, and your eternal tormentor. I am Cere'kan. Mind and matter as one."
Unable to contain the generator any longer in fear of it completely disintergrating, the Cypher fired the cannon. An orange pulse shot out down along the helix, carrying the generator with it shooting it forward at warp speeds. The force of the shot tore open the generator, fully releasing its contents. The Ballistae wasn't usable for conventional shells, they were torn apart upon being fired. For the solar generator, it didn't matter.
A massive pillar of flame suddenly connected the Cypher to the Marican sun. Several smoke like rings rang out from around it
The surface of the sun seemed to sink inwards where the generator had collided with it, the gravity displacement causing its shape to warble. Suddenly a massive fireball broke from the sun's opposite side in a splash of fire. A star, once imprisoned for its energy, now released, as a weapon of war.
With both stars connected and forming into one, the sun's size began ballooning out, as it did so, it burnt its fuel faster than any sun was supposed to. As it burnt, its gravitation strength died, as it expanded, its density fell. Within 30 seconds, a process which usually took billions of years suddenly completed and the star exploded. Within the space of a few seconds, the star's outer layer had exploded out and engulfed the entire star system. Maricas's surface melted in an instance before being thrown out of its normal orbit. A huge gamma ray burst raced across the galaxy, putting other nearby systems at risk. Older or low resistant ships were vaporised. Others, mostly Marican battleships or Drone sun diving craft were flung away like pebbles. What remained at the stars centres were two massive fire balls attempting to pull in opposite directions, their surfaces rapidly being hurtling away into space. The remnants of the stellar entities which had wrought the apocalyptic explosion. The fireballs slowed, then were dragged back into each other by their gravity. They collided, ripping through each other and out the other side once more, the collision causing yet another explosion. The strange dance continued, generating wave after wave of deadly fire.
Thara watched on, the screen shaking before eventually going to static, replaced instead by a technical difficulties sign. Marbh glanced upwards, remotely triggering the sun roof, the hull sliding away above the rec room to reveal the night sky. Visible right above them was a pulsing spot in the sky, much larger than the surrounding stars. The Old sentinel commented wearily "Well isn't that the handy coincidence? I was hoping we would get to watch...."
The explosion wasn't done yet. both stars continued to dance around each other, their leaps becoming shorter and shorter with every merge, and the gamma ray burst still raced across space, any unprotected planet within range would be bathed in such destructive radiation that all life could be brought to an end with moments. Thankfully, there was only a handful of planets within that area, and those that were were either already gone or protected from such disasters...
A human voice greeted Mal'ganis "Hello bounty hunter. You may refer to me as the builder. I have a simple contract for you requiring the kidnap of a human living locally in isolation. I pursued him here, and now I need someone to bring him in for me. Should you choose to except, you will be paid 5,000 KDR credits upfront and another 5,000 credits when we receive the package."
If traced, the com signal would lead to a random house in one of the cities planetside... The builder wasn't taking any chances.
